I just bought TBS Fusion for my Attitude V5's. I know they're not the best goggle but I feel reception is more important than video quality atm. I'm excited to see the results!
Hey man, im thinking about to get the same fusion/attitude combination, but im a little worried about fitment since the shops say you need to modify the attitudes case to make the module fit. Did you already try it? If yes, could you share your experiences?
@@tomforstmann9977 TBS Fusion for Attitude V5's is a no go. I tried to mod the screen housing to fit and it looks like hell. I went and purchased HDO 2s and the TBS fits like a glove. If I were to still main the V5, I would go Rapid Fire because they made a housing for the V5.

I love my DJI FPV system but being I already own a pair of FSHD3 I still use the analog for the risky stuff (long range /racing) so as not to lose or destroy my DJI air unit. Analog isn’t comparable to the HD system in terms of clarity and immersion but I guess I’ve gotten use to it and still find it ok for the purpose it serves. I personally don’t hate on either dji or tbs or whoever, I think all manufacturers came to the table with something and I say people are free to choose which products to go for. Since DJI released its FPV system I have heard so much negative and hate comments leading me to believe that these individuals either do not own a unit or too broke to buy a unit so they justify their lack of ownership of the HD system by throwing negatives. Anyway love your channel and reviews.
345 FPV I own it too but not my go to quad. I find flying 3 year old styled frames to easily fit the unit and looking like antman in the middle of a park are the 2 downsides. Can’t wait for gen 2...3...etc. I use it to do exploring and less for the adrenaline rush. Nothing performs for freestyle that’s a slammed frame imo

I have been wanting to send you a message on trying to get an updated target for the FC in the Thrust UAV Riot. It has an F4 and is capable of running Emuflight and BF 4.2 but the FC in the Riot is still stuck on 3.2 I think. Would love to update that thing and get some rpm filters on it. I like flying it. I only paid 30 for the Riot and only had to add a camera lol
Love the vids!!! Noob question... but I think I know the answer. For the best range and clarity does it rely on the goggles or is it just antennas? I would assume both help right? Also R and L is there any secrets with antennas besides pairing them for better signal? Thanks!
It relies on the receiver sensitivity and the antenna gain / efficiency. Technically I could still fly 2 miles out @ 200mw with a $25 non-diversity module using a good crosshair antenna. No difference between L and R. Ideally you would just alternate that at races for more signal spacing.
If you’re going to need analogue goggles, I’d go the skyzone 03o, which are 4*3 and oled , or the 03s, which is the new ones without oled screens and a bit cheaper although you have to look around to get them cheaper, or you could go the 02x/c goggles, which are 16*9. They are making great goggles and you don’t have to buy modules for them. I have the 02+ goggles and my mate who has fat sharks with what is supposed to be the best module couldn’t see my quads transmission when I lost it behind a hill and I could, he was impressed as to the distance I was getting.
Did you have your settings right for the camera on the sparrow cam and emax vtx kinda sucks i have that stack not crazy about it. I have the fusion and i like it but rapid is better now until the upgrade.i had commanders and had to sell them i couldnt get it to focus good . Great vid man
No the sparrow settings were jacked lol. Honestly not sure why people hate on the emax vtx... It's all I've been using for well over a year and they work awesome for me. I've even taken my Buzz out over a mile.
I'm running the o-g Tru D module on my HD3, sounds like you feel this would be a worthy update. Still using it? Would you say it's worth it to upgrade to the fusion?
Haha, almost as good as Byte Frost.. love it. So here's a question.. After watching the videos, iFlight's conversion for adding Analog to the DJI goggles is pretty darn simple, and cosmetically seems to fit and look great, so even if you're just starting out, and want analog and digital video, you can still have both on the DJI goggles. Saves all that Fat shark cost you speak of.
Lol... I run True-D (the first diversity released... I think in 2014/2015) with my FatShark HD2... so it looks like switching to RF module should give me about 20% improvement. Oh... and new antennas also. I've done a comparison test between Triumph and Axii on a racing track where a portion was behind the trees, much denser than in your park and I got 0 breakups with Axii. Again... everything from dinosaurs era so most probably new antennas work much better. I've noticed you more and more are using VAS antennas, both on quads and the googles. I did some tests with antennas on the googles... I think in 2015 (LOL) and I stopped at MadMushrum as giving me less breackups with trees in between.
If I purchase the DJI system, is there any reason why I should get their transmitter? I love my X9D-SE with Crossfire! Does the DJI transmitter provide any additional capabilities, other than allowing me to ditch the TBS Nano receiver and Immortal-T? Thanks for your advice!
The TFP keeps up remarkably well, solid axial ratio. It has less gain, but that makes it more reasonable on frame reconstruction VRx units (i.e. not diversity) to actually have good coverage, so I run those on my Clearview when I want more range - but dual Omni pagodas also works well when close.
@furadi Your really smart and really pushing yourself with that dead weight. Great idea! But I cant afford fatsharks nor a dji So tell me this if I bought a furious dock-king and put a tbs fusion or some other high end compatible module inside it could I connect the hdmi port to my aommway commanders to get a better image? Dare I say "hd" p.s. I have the truerc xair antennas patch and omni

But I mean if my dock king were to have the hdmi mod attached could you still not use the hdmi port like when I connect my hdmi port from my pc to my commanders it looks 720p hd to me but I could be wrong
i run with foxeer patch and longrange foxeer pagoda with the flysight FG02 goggles with True D and the parks i have to fly in are 50 times thicker with huge trees in comparison to where you are in this video and i have to say im running on 200mw and i really dont get any break up at all and it blows me away at times because i know its not the best gear but let me just say its much better then so many people think and half the cost of fatshark and skyzone etc..just a thought,just because everyone seems to use whatever is out on the next youtube video doesn't always mean its worth that huge price tag and better then the other stuff..to each is there own though..

I think the big part for TBS Fusion is going to be the signal rejection with multiple pilots at least for analog world. I can't stand my analog after DJI lol
I switched from rapid fire to fusion after I let a pair of goggles go I though tbs would have nailed it as there other products are soooo good. But let me tell you I am going back to rapid fire end of. Fusion reduces clarity in my hd02 I lost the wow factor and was left with muddy dull colours. Do not buy fusion. The WiFi integration is so slow I can do what I need to with lua scripts 10 times faster it takes ages. No one has that long with a cpu hotting up without flight. Rapid fire is the winner and I have both make no mistake rapid fire is the top Tier gear. Nuff said.
Trees are hell for any kind of RF but what was likely happening was the noise floor was lower than I'm used to. Guessing one or more of the local businesses changed something up in there wifi.
@TrueFPVblood @Furadi and if you use a BrainFPV Radix/Li FC, its CRSF widget can display the noise floor (SNR) to further determine any impacts on your video signal

I would go Dji for LR, crossfire BF with RTH, I can land it LOS :)

Just got the same VAS antennas for my goggles and they made a huge difference over the menaceRC antennas I was using.

I would say no aside from ease of use. Crossfire is definitely more powerful than the DJI controller.

I've never tried a triple feed. But yes the VAS and TrueRC crosshair/Xair are the best of the best.

Not HDMI you would just use the AV in jack!
