Girl it’s so true! In our African culture, men have to come with big money and dowry before even coming to the father to ask permission to marry his daughter. Yes people may argue that this is different because it’s marriage but not really. It just shows that it is important that a man shows how much he really treasure that woman by giving her many gifts before even getting married. I do believe that stands true even when it comes to dating. Now I’m not saying that a man should give a woman the world but at least give her something to show that he’s serious. a man can explicitly say that he wants sex on the first date but if a woman asks for help, he sees her has a gold digger.
