This was my problem with a Maytag Maxima 6000. I jumped the fuse and the igniter came on and gas valve opened. Both parts $15 in two days from Amazon. I will try mine with the dr in place. Tight quarters, but seems like less i can break! Thanks for the info!!
Im going through all these videos hoping i find something that can give no power to the front panel and easy to replace that ISN'T the main board. I even tested all the relays on the main board. Its going to be an expensive repair regardless
i have a Maytag Maxima front loader on which I wanted to check the thermal fuse. I only removed the front panel and top panel (electronics section) and was able to test the thermal fuse. Taking the whole dryer apart seems excessive and unnecessary.
My Maytag Maxima 8200 burned out the heater element. I’ve replaced the element, but am having additional issue(s).. 1) on auto dry it smells like the element is getting hot, but no heat in dryer? 2) the machine heats up when on timed dry, all settings ( low med & high) The blower is working. I didn’t replace the thermostats or the thermister when replacing element.I’ve cleaned the machine and duct, but the clean lint light comes on at power up.
Love your detailed video. Thank you for taking time to help people like me. 🙏🏻🙂

Why turn off water?
Remember to turn off the water ? It's a dryer not a washing machine !
Some models have steam drying which uses a water line
