    Excellent and informative video. Well, I guess that is why you are called the Informative Fisherman. I work at a local Cabelas in the Fishing Dept. Honestly, I just ran into this great line. Unfortunately, we only carry 2 of the many lines. But, once I caught on to the Fluoro Coated, this is all that I recommend and install for Beginner and more Experienced Fishermen and Women alike. I read quite a few reviews and other than the odd complainer, which you will find anywhere, I have not read one bad thing about it. Every time we stock the wall, I am usually out in a couple of days. I actually got a bit of a Dressing Down for not pushing Braid. I asked that the next shipment, they bring in lots, which they did. Now I am sitting pretty for a while. I would like to see some of that Braid. So I can compare it to a couple of other brands, and the one that I do use. I trust you that it will come out well just the same. Obviously Leader Material for making Toothy Fish Leaders, Leaders for the end of your Braid and decent line for Rigs and Drops Shots. Sounds to me like P-Line has everything covered. One of the other Outfitters also uses the Coated on his reels when he doesn't require Braid. I do get to make a few recommends regarding equipment, Tackle and such, so will do some checking to see if we can't bring in some P Line Braid also. With the last shipment, I had enuff on hand that I could buy a few boxes for myself. So, I got 2 of the 10 and 1 of the 8 lb. We got so much that I lined the wall and put a bit in Back Stock for when I run out.

    "For me.." Microfilament braid over Dyneema any day of the week. Dyneema is just like dental floss. It's thin and strong but it hangs on itself. Terrible for baitcasters. My opinion only. Thanks for taking the time to show us all of these different lines. I use PLine more than any other line. Why does my Clear Fluorescent CX Premium Line have a blue tint? I had a viewer watching one of my videos and they told me it was mono. I begged to differ because, well it was mine and I knew what I had spooled it with. In the light it looks hazy light blue. Your response will be appreciated.

    Thanks to this video, I will be supporting P-Line on all my reels! Maybe even get sponsored? *hint* lol!! I've been stocking up on different brands based on ratings and comments from other anglers. This video breaks it down and I have a better understanding about the different types of fishing line out in the market! Thanks for this vid because it was a big trial and error game when it came to line but this makes it super clear!! Thanks for this dude!

    Good Video Nick, I do have one question however and am curious what advice you have. I've tried P-Line several time on a bait casting reel but have only resulted in back lash after back lash after back lash. Im not a pro caster but Im certainly no chump, what brand of P-Line would you recommend for cleansing this problem?

  • @feellnfroggy

    Have you done or planned a review of that C21? His response to the reason they went that route with that line, was basic and uninformative as far as the line itself, did change material composition to create the line? Is it the same as any other mono basic line for beginners? What makes it better than the 3.99 roll at the infamous Wally World? I have two little girls that love to fish, with their own poles. They don't have the experience or rigs for braid, and fleuro doesn't fit their fish, I want better than cheap, but they are kids and will go through more line than is preferred. That's a good price, for a line "claimed" better than generic, is it worth the money? After reading this, I just watched the question about taking your little girls out, lol. Great point. Im glad you hit that. I am curious for a Beginner or Basic fisherkid review of some of those basic lines though. Lots of review of Prograde and Exceptional amateur grade fishing tackle, not a lot of reviews for teaching kids or reviewing kids equipment.... (not the Barbie pole) lol, but beginner Zebco, 33 classic, Mono setup for worm and bobber, or catfish bait kinda thing. Great vids.

  • @InformativeFisherman
    @InformativeFisherman  11 років тому

    If the water is dingy straight braid will work fine. 10lb braid is very light for bass fishing, the shock strength of the line is not good, I would use at least 30lb or 20lb braid.

    • @harrydick3300

      Only retards you straight braid because they cut the fish all up and unable to release

    Hey nick I have a question. there is this Lake a go shore fishing for strippers but the only way to get the 20"+ is to throw my bait on a Carolina Rig as far as i can with my 12ft rod (80-100 yards).
    The problem is that my leader keeps getting tangled with my main line. What would you suggest to prevent that from happening.
    This is my set up: Carolina Rig: 12ft rod, 30 lb braided main line, 4 Oz weight on a slider, swivel, and a 15 lb flourcarbon leader.

    its not about humans seeing the line underwater ive been studying line for year and first thing u must ALWAY REMEMBER AND I STRONGLY REMIND YOU
    YOU MUST ALWAY ALWAYS REMEMBER fish see diffrently to us they can see 3/4 of the light spectrum way more than we can see
    so i recomend u do a test in salt water then get a white light yellow light ir light red light blue light uv light green light and last of all a thermal camera by doing this u get an understanding of what most fish see hope it helps

    I am going to do some stocked rainbow fishing and am looking for a low vis line. I was thinking of switching to Fluoroclear from mono. Primary bait will most likely be Power Eggs or Power Bait. Should I be concerned about the fact that the line does not float (i.e. will it pull my bait down to the bottom) or if using 4-6 lb test, should it not be a problem?

    • @xXxShadownovaxXx

      I use the 15lb P-Line premium in the moss green for Salmon which blends in the water of the Sacramento river. It's about the thickness of 12lb to 14lb line, has low memory, low stretch but not like the cxx and casts great in both kinds of reels. It's only $7.99 for 300 yards, two uses. GREAT line!!
