This is a very underrated cover, I saw this when it came out and I was impressed, her scream got me ...still miss Chester, Rest in Paradise Chester you are missed
What is with the 17 second scream? I can do it for 22. Chester's brilliance was in the way that he could switch from that beautiful voice to the terrifying scream and back live as fast as he wanted to whenever he wanted to.
my band played given up and faint but with screaming metal like version, no difference at all I can scream for 36 seconds cradle of filth style the only difference was like The Kolz Family said in the comment he has a very beautiful clean voice and can switch it anytime he likes i had a mediocre clean voice and never in hell can I switch it that fast.
Not exactly rap though. It's more punk-ish electronic rock. The last album had this electronic rap-vibe. And yeah, she definitely improved her english skills. If you look up their studio diary from 2016 when they recorded their record "Schlaflos" she definitely had some trouble pronouncing words. She definitely has that german accent, still, but she got rid of most of its characteristics, if you know what I mean. For example , in some sections of the song she had troubles pronouncing the "th" correctly. I might be nitpicking but whatever :D

She pulled that off, with this track!
If Linkin Park does more music, which they should, I don't think they should find a specific replacement for Chester. They should do what they've been doing, having singers join them and what would be better is to write each new song with another singer.
Rocky A I definitly see them working with different artists for future albums. But Mike has done a phenomenal job aswell with Post Traumatic, he has really improved his singing and there‘s still room for more. I think for concerts they should add a touring member who plays the keyboard and does backup vocals and have Mike as the front man & bringing local artists in to do a song or 2. It seems like the future is up in the air for LP though. I really really hope they continue, I‘d be devastated if they didn‘t.
They can't do that on tour. There's no way they put out a twelve song album and then tour with potentially 12 singers. If LP comes back, they need a vocalist.
Wow! If Linkin Park ever adds her to the band, she could add an interesting dynamic. Not saying that she’ll replace Chester’s sound (RIP Chester), but maybe take them in a direction with sounds of some classic Linkin Park with a female twist. This was so awesome. Good job Mike.
From all stuff I heard since Chester passed, she is really a damn close call for the Hybrid Theory - Meteora era. I can't judge on this song how she would do for the latest albums, never the less she did a great job and has a nice voice. Chester just had an too amazing voice and I'm afraid there's nobody who can "cover" his whole range
Chester’s shoes are massive to fill At first I thought she sounded a little weak in the first chorus, but gathered confidence in following verse where she added her own spin and then consecutive choruses’ but then damnnn that screaming was on point!!! Goosebumps. Nailed it! Hope we see this pairing more often in the future of LP. If she just puts a little more oomph into that chorus it would be perfect.

Okay let's talk about something. I keep reading those "this guy could replace chester" comments all over youtube, and it's like, why? People seem to forget that LP has stopped making this kind of music in like 2008. So honestly whats the point? The band should do whatever they feel is right, Mike can totally do the vocals for whatever these guys wanna make. When they play live, and wanna do older songs, it's much more beautiful, when Mike lets the crowd sing Chesters part. Thats how you keep him alive. (And by no means try to insult their newer stuff, but speaking as a metalhead, Chester may have died in 2017, but we lost him with A thousand Suns)
That performance of Jennifer reminded me of Chester so much. Some parts sounded so authentic. If I was with her on that stage and closed my eyes... you know...
