The sheer aggression here is very real which is why this might possibly be his greatest performance ever

I used to be able to play the entire set on my bass, and would crank it on the surround sound and play it with them whenever I was home alone. Absolutely amazing show.
Also, Mike's crowd work is great, dude seems so comfortable talking to thousands of people.

This was the first album I ever bought with my own money. I still remember the very moment I first put it into my playstation 2 to play the DVD that came with it and just being fully blown away. Chester throughout the entire concert is nothing but pure and raw energy rampaging across the stage.

I love how Chester helps support Mike’s vocals and in other songs Mike does the same for Chester. Even though Mike is a bonified rapper he is also a legitimate singer as well. Mike is also trained on many instruments including the electric guitar, bass, and classical piano. He helps play all of those instruments for Linkin Park as well on top being a vocalist!!! Love Chester and Mike together!!! They were more than band mates they were brothers by heart!

Live In Texas performances are ALL GOAT'd! A Place For My Head is probably my favorite from the whole set list. His screams here are UNREAL! Sort of unfortunate he didn't utilize THESE pipes more frequently. His voice was built for metal.
A Place For My Head was my favorite too along with this, but as you said, the WHOLE performance was fucking sublime.
I just watched this reaction for the second time and I enjoyed seeing how much you enjoyed it. 🥰 And what amazes me the most is: After he did a lot of screaming at the 'Go away' part, he switched his voice in a split second and started singing with his great voice. How can one not feel even a little discomfort and jump directly back into the song?..

I was lucky enough to see Linkin Park live in South Africa back in the day and I genuinely can't explain how good Chester is, for me he's the undisputed GOAT of the metal/nu metal genre.
Better check out their A Place For My Head live rock am ring 2004, it's just a masterpiece, the community interaction is crazy. Also MUST WATCH - QWERTY (Summer Sonic Tokyo 2006), I PROMISE YOU WILL BE IN SHOCK

The way he was screaming the part "you, try to take the best of me...", it felt then, wow, you can feel his pain totally. Also you've got the feeling about he's talking to his demons...well, it kinda felt so and feels so when I listening to this part.

As a kid, this live dvd just clicked with me in every way. I re-watch this dvd at least twice a year.

Linkin Park is now and forever will be my favorite band so I'm happy to see you exploring more of what made them so special.
So it would be a bit of an odd watch but LP's final performance as a band was Chester's celebration of life with lots of other guests. They did One Step Closer with JD from Korn as well as Faint with M Shadows from A7x. They did two with Shadows but I can't remember the other one.
You could also watch their performance of One More Light from Jimmy Kimmel but I will say that one is real hard to watch cause they performed it for the late Chris Cornell and its pretty clear Chester is real broken up during it.
Chester is one of my heroes, R.I.P my man, thanks for all the tunes

The first Linkin Park song I listened to and my all time favorite is Castle of Glass, I love every other song they made but Castle of Glass takes the cake and I think you should listen to it

The Live In Texas CD/DVD combo was actually the very first thing I bought from them and I absolutely fell in love. Whenever my parents weren't home I would put in the DVD, crank it as loud as the sound system could handle and go hard, especially on this song. Other live songs by them I would suggest is Qwerty which was an unreleased track from Minutes to Midnight, The ballad version of Pushing me away, their cover of Rolling in the deep (Specifically the one from their LPU performance where its just Chester and Brad playing on an acoustic guitar) and One More Light from the last performance they did with Chester. These performances are just the tip of the iceberg but they some up Linkin Park live decently well. Also fun fact, theres a performance from a later show, I believe actually on the last tour where Brad (the guitarist) was playing his guitar from this performance that was smashed. They had it glued back together and it still sounded great!

Chester had the best rage scream. i miss that guy. on the more rap side of it, Mike has his own group called Fort Minor that is really good. youll probably recognize the song "remember the name". from what i understand when they would view Chesters screams through a spectrometer, there would be 3 different layers.

I was blessed enough to say this was my first time seeing linkin park. Live in Texas was linkin park on tour with Metallica as headliner. Most epic n most awesome concert ever! When he said “we got that up top?” Best believe that was me in that crowd screaming! lol RIP Chester 🕊️
What most people that never REALLY listened to Linkin Park don't know is how versatile/eclectic their music is. They have their radio hits like In The End and Numb, they have heavier songs like this one which are just classics, and they even have hip-hop tracks with insane instrumentals. For a different flavor of Linkin Park you haven't reacted to, I would say you should check out "Nobody's Listening". Those of us that followed Linkin Park were spoiled, and unfortunately it's taken Chester's passing for people to finally take a real deep dive into what is Linkin Park.

Loving these reactions of less current bands you've been doing, the nostalgia is strong and it's a good reminder for me to go back and listen to bands I haven't listened to in a while. Speaking of which, your reaction to Creed the other day made me go back and listen to Alter Bridge...who is a band you haven't reacted to yet and really should. Alter Bridge is Creed with a way better singer (Myles Kennedy) who I'm sure you'd love. There's really only one Alter Bridge song to suggest as it's one of the best and most emotional songs ever made, and that's "Blackbird" (either the live from Amsterdam or live from the Royal Albert Hall versions).
I had this dvd/cd set. most likely still in storage, I watched and listened at least 3 times a week as a kid. This was my favorite track from the concert.
I used to get made fun of as a kid because I listened to rock music and was not really into the popular stuff, Linkin Park was the very first band that became popular at school.
I was kinda conflicted, got bullied for liking Metallica and Ozzy. when LP blew up I was finally cool and Guitars became cool. and the kids that bullied me all decided I was ok and they were gonna buy guitars.
Linkin Park has a huge place in my heart because their music did speak to me, but it was the first time that the popular kids accepted me.
