    Hey!
    How would you rate Dahler controller with stock system on a scale of 10?
    And original valve controller but only AA EL mid-pipe?
    In your videos DP is all stock right?
    Does it worth the money difference or the Dahler controller would be also enough for more blurs and pops?
    Just to make sure, it makes no sense to get AA EL mid-pipe with Dahler, right?
    Thanks for answering!

      @MarkMohai-ep4jl At this point I am stock DPs with the Active EL midpipe and axle-back exhaust. The Dahler controller is excellent and worth it, a 10 in my book. It adds more functionality and control over your exhaust which I find worth it. The controller works from full oem to fully modded, so you can use it with whatever your setup is on your car.

      @@BMWDIYGuy Thank you so much! Appreciate your honest opinion.
      Still, would you recommend Dahler control for the OEM system for start? Would I get more pops and blurs on the OEM system?
      Then, if it is not enough, I can always get the AA EL midpipe as an additional, right?
      Thanks!

      @MarkMohai-ep4jl it absolutely can be added to full stock and will make a difference in both overall volume but bubbles will be more pronounced when fully open.

    Meant to ask you this a while back. Did you consider the SST and Milltek valve controllers? If so, what made you choose Dahler?

    • @BMWDIYGuy
      @BMWDIYGuy  6 місяців тому

      I try hard to not comment on hardware I haven't actually used, so they both may be great. I have been hands on with Dahler now multiple times, and met folks from the company at the Kies show. For me it was the only choice.

    Great content!! Just found your channel and subscribed.
    I assume this in addition to your AA mid pipes that you installed in a previous video. If so, did you do it to have even more control over the sound you’re getting with the new AA mid pipes?
    I have a white 2023 g87 M2 and trying to figure out how to make it sound better too. Just not sure I like the idea of cutting the stock mid pipes for the AA ones. That’s a one way trip that you can never really put back to stock “exactly”.

    • @BMWDIYGuy
      @BMWDIYGuy  7 місяців тому

      Thank you and the active pipes are excellent! As an upcoming content surprise, I will have their axle back exhaust shortly too. You can easily go back to stock though with the joining clamps or have it welded too.

      @@BMWDIYGuy Can’t wait to see the axle back video!
      AA also told me you can clamp and/or weld the mid pipes back to stock, but it’s still not the same as uncut mid pipes.
      My concern is more from a resale perspective. If I decide to sell the car down the line and want to go back to stock mid pipes, I could see a buyer viewing the cutting/clamping/welding as lowering the value of the car.

      @sydsM3 I am sure someone might care, but never met anyone that would see that as an issue. I wouldn't stress on it myself and the upgraded exhaust is worth it, likely to a later buyer too.

      @@BMWDIYGuyThat’s a reasonable point of view, although I have run in to people that prefer pure factory OEM cars with no mods.
      No matter though, I’m going to wait for your AA axle back exhaust review and see what that sounds and looks like with the mid pipes. I believe getting both at the same time would be a straight parts swap with no cutting required.
      I will say though. I love the factory chrome exhaust tips on my car from a pure look perspective…😊
      I’m also starting to go through your other g87 M2 videos and am impressed with every one of them so far! You are very talented and really know your stuff!

    Do the flaps open fully, partially or not at all with the M1 or M2 buttons? Thanks for the vid!

    • @BMWDIYGuy
      @BMWDIYGuy  7 місяців тому +1

      In sport mode the flaps only blip open, they never stay open. This controller let's you fully open and stay open regardless of mode
