That's cool! I didn't know you could use a heat gun to shrink those. Is that product the same as Shrinky Dinks or does it work differently?

If stamping a word on matte side will it be backwards when done?

Yes, on its backside, but in the case of a word, the matte side will be your front and will look just as you stamped it.
