We struggle due to lack of understanding. We are groomed and influenced since birth to experience the world around us as we see it and as it interacts with us daily. We’re pushed and pulled constantly by the forces we tangibly see, hear, taste, feel, smell. The discipline and ability to see and work beyond this world-into the Spiritual-psychologically, mentally and physically is extremely difficult to grasp. Especially since we are custodians of this temporary world, required to care for it and take care of it. Hence the need for true Faith. We are not required to understand… just Believe and walk in Trust.

It is Sunday evening where I am at, thank you John, your 'sermon' (I quoted 'sermon' only because of length). Gotta understand John, where I am from, though we have various denominations, since my brother is a ordained Reverend (Protestant), this is the type of style I am familiar with. I am non-denominational, meaning I do not follow doctrine based teachings from any Church, instead for the want of a better way of describing... 'Classical Christianity', as close to the core message as possible and where people use translations (say Modern English [ISV/NIV/{N}KJV/NET/ESV/+12 other I personally read], I use the LXX/DSS/MT as in Hebrew/Aramaic and Greek) Why? In part it related to my work [software] and > 18k hours later I prefer to do so, for example the first (arguably the first) 'instruction' Jesus gave was to 'Repent' (Mrk 1.4 no less) which have more 'firm/definite' meaning or take for example in most translations the word 'giant' is omitted and 'mighty men/men of renown' is use (Jesus spoke Aramaic but Hebrew also and yes most scholars agree he understood Greek [koine] also) so since the Aramaic is Giant (nephilin [note the n]) and the newer Hebrew sister language uses nephilim (notice the m). These are basic examples, it may not change the the core message BUT because of morphology, pronounce and such when in Matt Jesus was sitting away from his disciples... ... when approached and ask "how the end will be" the VERY FIRST thing (sign if you will) Jesus gave was "do not be deceived" not if you read any English translation it lack how Jesus conveyed it... how Jesus conveyed it would be like me facing you in no uncertain terms, grabbing you by the shirt clenching it and firmly say "do not be deceived" and this changes everything. Overall it redefines the Bible... if you read till here (if this is not removed) Get a tool or (Mounce/Strong's Concordance + dictionary, a Lexicon and go read what is written in Ps 82. I am just a man, nobody, nothing more, a servant of Christ. I seek no recognition, status, none of that... I speak the truth. How John is speaking... well I would not have said as I did if not agree. I should have posted this on Rumble... regardless the last thing I will mention (in retrospect) I recommend the ISV translation for one reason Jhn 3.16 "only begotten Son" is mistranslated, in truth it should have been "UNIQUE Son" and again, this makes so much more sense if you understand the source material. 6:23 Why reference the covenant in Deuteronomy when the whole point of Jesus was that he made a new covenant in the New Testament? Otherwise Christians today wouldn't be allowed to eat pork and would be commanded to stone idolaters. I dont understand selective reading of old testament stuff like this. It seems pretty clear that the old testament is historical context, not an instruction book. The words of Jesus and his apostles in the new testament are the instructions, many of which directly contradict the old testament laws.
Great question. It’s because of centuries worth of sloppy theology has caused believers to assume there is a new covenant and the old covenant is no more. Instead, what God actually said was as long as heaven and earth remain, not one letter of the covenant shall pass away. Then Jesus when He was here said “I have not come to abolish the Torah but fulfill it.” When he spoke of a new covenant, he did not do so at the expense of the old, but rather in addition to, showing that our relationship with the lord had changed (the tearing of the temple curtain). This is why Paul said all things may be permissible but not all things are profitable. What Christians tend to misunderstand is the difference between salvation and holiness. They think salvation is holiness. Salvation comes from faith, but holiness - the quality of relationship we have with the lord, comes from the law. James said show your faith without work but I show you my faith by my works [of the law]. Faith without works [of the law] is dead. It really is that simple. Jesus expected believers to continue observing Torah. That is why he said at his last supper with the disciples (Passover, which is a biblical feast that is all about the sacrifice of messiah) he said “as often as you do this, do this in remembrance of me.” He didn’t mean once a month when you have communion at your church , do this as a memorial of of my sacrifice, he meant once a year when you celebrate Passover, do this in remembrance of me. This is also where he speaks about the new covenant Luke 22:20. Why is it new? Because before Jesus came, Passover was about looking forward to messiah coming. After he came it was about looking back and remembering what he accomplished. The first Passover was about freedom from physical slavery. The new Passover is about freedom from spiritual slavery.
The prosperity Gospel is simply that "His divine power has given to us, everything we need for life and Godliness". Jesus and the Worst of God are the answer for everything. You should interview somebody who knows what the prosperity Gospel is rather than only reformed folk who hear what this one guy thinks and then they just repeat that same thing.
