Thank you so much for this video. I set out to change the same rotors and could not figure out how to get them off. The screwdriver in the hole is genius. I could not figure out that access. Thanks again and very professionaly done. God bless.
Great video! Help me realize somebody installed squarebody front dually brakes on my OBS dually. Replacing all with the OBS but definitely learned from your video! Thanks👍🏻
Thank you so much for this video. My truck the same kind of rotor setup and could not find a video showing how to do it. I finally ran across your video and it was just what I needed. I don't why it didn't show up before when I was looking, but I'm glad it showed up today. Good job explaining step by step. I will like and subscribe in case you do more videos on this type of truck. Thanks Again!
Great Video. Each step was clear. Tips were awesome. ad libbing "keep it centered you don't want drag" Seriously, you help me out a lot so if that is what you wanted to do, you did.
OH I also really like your garage. I have that same shop vac, and *laughs* maybe that portable kit *laughs* good fun, if it wasn't for the lift I was like who is this guy in my garage! ;)
My bearings were too tight or too loose when aligning the castle nut to cotter pin hole so I used hardened valve spring shims .030 under nut to get proper bearing preload.
@@mikesgarage1518 Thank you for answering me so fast and now I know what to do . Other vehicles you had to remove the caliper bracket cause it sat in front of rotor but this looks fairly cut and dry just pull off wedge set to the side and pull off rotor .
I can’t get the assembly off. I had my driver side bearings blow out and after removing everything, minus the outer bearing because it’s super stuck. I can’t get the hub rotor assembly off. Any tips?
We're about to tackle front rotor tomorrow and this video is really really helpful.thank you

I have done many rear brakes on these vehicles, but never replaced front rotors. Your video was very helpful. Thank you.
Spot on! Nothing to criticize about… im working on a 1991 c3500 454 dually. I’ve had all the parts since 2016. I totally forgot how. Thank you
Thank you for this video. That little 'peep' hole is what REALLY helped me out. I can't believe I didn't see that hole.
Many thanks from here in the UK
Just in the midst of calipers, rotors etc on our 85 chevy motorhome based on that chassis.

Excellent first video. Thanks

So they don’t recommend to pre load the bearings on the c/g series 1tons? Good to know because normally you’d preload and back off
thanks good video

Very helpful thank you
have 1 question , after removing wedge caliper do you have to remove the bracket that holds the caliper before removing hub/rotor assembly ?
the bracket is part of the knuckle so does not get removed

Will this work on my 97 because it looks the exact same
I can’t for THE LIFE OF ME find ANY brake parts online for my 1978 Silverado C30 camper special edition (454 V8) anywhere! Any recommendations?
I got all my parts from RockAuto for this truck, should be able to find your parts there.
@@mikesgarage1518 dude you’re the man!
Will these rotors fit on a 1969 brim brake fontend ??? BigAl California thanks,,, praise Jesus Christ grace grace grace amen 🙏

This was my first and only time doing this so don't have experience with a stuck one, only thing I can think of is a sledge hammer?
It may have welded itself together
might need to change the spindle ? or cut the rotor in half
Try a slide hammer with a two way puller or a small die grinder and cut the bearing n race out
Whay if the grease caps stuck
penetrating fluid and chisel around the cap to loosen it up?
