    A respectable job .
    Did you replace the oil seal in the hub and the axle flange gasket ?
    The spindle bearing nut procedure is “77 ft lbs while turning the hub and bearings then back off the nut 90 degrees and retorque to 18 ft lbs “
    And did you put any gear oil in the hub before you reinstalled it ?

      I do believe that those specs are for Greased Bearings which are on my front 4X4 . Someone did post the specs for oiled bearings/rear.
      I had trouble with my fronts did those several times then just increased the torque on them until they stopped backing off. One side did need a new ratcheting nut??? that was it was called?sorry have forgot right now.

      I was going to comment on this. It has to be seated then backed off.

    I had marked mine with the white steel markers, using two crescents to lift and guide the axle in that last 3 inches.
    Sorry where is your new driveshaft seal. Should be cleaned as well if your going to use RTV. Which Should work as well.
    As well should use brake clean on that new one.
    I did do the one man brake bleed method. With a 2 liter pop bottle (washed it out right away with water let it dry for a week ) Put 2something inches of brake oil and then bled them into the bottle worked well. Do pump most of the oil out of the chamber before starting so that new oil will not be wasted mixing with the old oil.

    Hi there, I have a Kodiak C45400 and I'm having trouble getting the main axle out. I see you use a hammer to knock it loose. I've beaten mine and it still won't come loose. what would you recommend?

    • @karlonarcher7918
      @karlonarcher7918  Рік тому +1

      You would of to hammer it real hard like your going to break it .get a big hammer if you need to because mine was really hard to get off I just keep hitting it. because it might have some lock around the nut that needs to come loose hope I could help.have a blessed one

    Hello, Just curious, Was the rotor damaged, like cracked or warped? When you need just to replace and put NEW brake pads on, do you still need to replace the rotor?
    Mine still looks great. I have a 2005 Chevrolet c5500 Kodiak 8.1 Vortec, on a Motorhome chassis.
    Thanks!

      If it looks good you don’t have to charge it you can just charge the brake pad mine was bad it’s a lot of work to get the rotor so if you don’t ofto just leave it have a blessed one how it’s all work out good for you
