the guy in the Toyota needs to have his ass kicked... That minivan did everything it could to preserve its spot in the lane and let the engine be damned
Canada we have Fire trucks on False calls with 2 police cars and 1 officer in the fire truck calling out the Cars that fail to pull over its also on Dashcam You get a huge fine and 3 points off your lic, which makes your insurance raise up
Probably your own city because I'm Canadian too, living in the middle of Ontario and Québec and they don't do that. New York bas 20 000 000 people while Canada's got around 37-39 millions (2021).

Awsome video!!!!! I've been searching and waiting for a FDNY ride along video with the EQ2B!!!! How do you get these ride along videos!? And once again, very nice and awesome video!!! :D
it's good that the city posts videos like this. to give the public a few of some good'ol nyc traffic. IT'S NOT GOOD WHEN PEOPLE GET EXTENDED THE INVITE TO RIDE ALONG, THEN THEY POST IT ON SOCIAL MEDIA. A GOOD WAY TO GET A COMPANY OFFICER JAMMED UP. IF YOU RIDE ALONG AND RECORD IT... KEEP IT TO YOURSELF!!!
No one gives a Crap in NY, I'm glad I drive my Engine in Los Angeles. We had some FDNY firemen visit us in LA , The told me many guys don't want to be the driver. Now I know why. I will never complain about the drivers here in LA since watching this.
What's up with the green minivan that is double-parked directly across from the fire hall at the start of the video, and is still double-parked (albeit moved up a few feet) at the end of the video??
Wow, response times must be brutal in NY. What's the law there for motorists and emergency vehicles? You didn't get but more than a few feet from your house before hitting a jam and I noticed you didn't sound off so I assume you're just waiting for the light. I know it's New York, but seriously some of them could have moved over, even on those infamously congested streets. Even the peds don't care. I've never been there so it's sort of a shock compared to our calls.
I can't help, but notice the DHL vehicle at 7:07, "It's only natural , this vehicle is powered by electric drive". Why do I have a sneaking suspicion DHL doesn't get electricity by natural means to power their vehicles?
no need for a fast response? shouldn't you treat all calls as the real deal? what if the one time you decided to slowly respond and it turned out to be a real fire?
The siren wont help in New York City especially during rush hours like this.. This siren EQ2B in particular gets REALLY annoying when sitting in the cab, trust me. If we stuck to the PA300 itd be no problem
Are you blind? The first few minutes, right after it leaves the station. It just sits there waiting for the red light to change, with its lights on the whole time.
Actually, they shouldnt even be responding.. FDNY USUALLY doesnt dispatch when no one replys on the box (It has a speaker) So they dispatch when they actually have an emergency, however E22 responded just in case, but there wasnt much they could do considering the Shit ton of traffic there was.. That wasnt slow response just not a response to risk the rig or any other cars getting into wrecks also know as modified response, put into action in the last two years.
This isn't about where they should do an emergency response or not, it's about giving drivers the impression that a truck with its lights on means nothing. If they're not going to do an emergency response, then turn off the lights so that the next time drivers see a truck with its light on they don't think "oh, I guess it's okay for me to block this guy in, the lights mean nothing".
Is there alot of alcholic and mental breakdowns for fdny drivers? Iknow I would be a raging alcaholic if I had to drive an emergency vehicle in that mess every day lol.Seriously though my hats off to all the fdny you guys are amazing and act professionaly every day in a city full uf entitled rich assholes.
Was especially touched by the two sedans and what looked like a town car who raced ahead of the rig, almost like hitching a ride on its siren. Hope they never need the FD in a hurry. ( expletives, deleted)!
in Minnesota whenever a police or EMS vehicle comes up to a red light it changes to green within 6 seconds. and all drivers do move out of the way I don't know how they can drive an emergency vehicle in New York with out getting mad sorry I just can not do it
Ugh, this is such a stupid policy. Is there's no emergency response, then turn off the damn lights. This type of behavior makes people think it's okay to block a rig that has lights on.
Ok i see what you are saying. At that time they are still responding to a call. Understand that there are times when it is dangerous for the truck to push cars out into the intersection with it's siren and cause another accident. Especially in New York where traffic is what it is. It was not necessary to push those cars into the intersection. Just wait for the green. This is not uncommon in New York. And you cannot complain about response times because FDNY has them in check, trust me.
Just did ;p I did make it sound like that huh? Well the FDNY really does take every emergency seriously but theyve done enough emergencies to know whats real and whats not and usually theyll still respond to the emergencies they know are false
for some reason people the world over do not understand get the hell out of the way... pull to the right and let me by... So many are just trying to hurry home or going about their day not realizing that someone is dying... If it was them or their loved one they will wonder why it took the FD so damn long to get there... its because of the schmucks that make our job more difficult. Be safe out there brothers and sisters
Well, I guess the average resident of NY does not care if someone’s home is on fire, or are in a car wreck, let them wait, I am not getting out the way, Well, one day it will be them, and no one else will care, and it will arrive too, late. Karma’s a bitch.
Probably the first FDNY responding I've seen where they haven't had to use the horn...
Only in New York do you have to wait with the trafic X3
the guy in the Toyota needs to have his ass kicked... That minivan did everything it could to preserve its spot in the lane and let the engine be damned
Perfect city to die from a heart attack !
Canada we have Fire trucks on False calls with 2 police cars and 1 officer in the fire truck calling out the Cars that fail to pull over its also on Dashcam You get a huge fine and 3 points off your lic, which makes your insurance raise up
theres no where for the cars to go.. and nypd has better things to do than run down douche bags that cant get out of the way
Love it!

sad that over 4 minutes of this video was people blocking the truck. could of been someones life. people need to learn to move
its NYC no one gives a damn.
If it was urgent enough they would use the air horn

This is almost painful to watch. I am surprised there isn't more use of the q siren. And there is no horn at all.
Brock Eysie wasn't really an emergency response it was to an ERS box with no call back most likely a BS run and it was happens all the time
Ahh, I see.
06:00 Even the siren said "fuck it", nobody is listening anyways !!
@@FlipSwitchGamesOfficial Well would if that "Bullshit Call" wasn't bullshit just saying......

i would NEVER live in NYC.. this is way... To much traffic and no one gives a damn.
I can't believe ya'll think that's alot a traffic Lol. I live a few hours south from NYC and that traffic is moderate.
EvoNeiko that's only Manhattan not in the beautiful boroughs
Come to india my man, here we have traffic even during a pandemic
4:28 This black car center stage hands down is why I have a dash cam in my car. People just don't think when operating a machine sometimes.
That siren drives me nuts ! Definitely like the original Q over that Lol good video though.

Yeh, everyone in the west coast seems to get with the program lol...Even those on the other side move to their right.
Do people pull over any faster fir the few rigs there that have real motor sirens -- or do they just ignore them, too?
where is this in New York ? Manhattan or Brooklyn or..?

Quick question for you could you do the Kansas City metropolitan area for the sequel to emergenyc?
From uk by the way... What are the fire lanes for they are not clar for the trucks and the engine doesnt go in it?
New York, the city where emergency lights and sirens don't do anything for you!

what if the one time you decided to slowly respond and it turned out to be a real fire?

thanks for the clear up
should put that in the description lol
made it sound like they were really unprofessional and unwilling

The guy at 4:28 deserves a ticket.
I recon it would be harder to respond on 1 way streets as there is no free oncoming lanes you might be able to use.
No Sense of Urgency, was it a proper call?
This isn't about where they should do an emergency response or not, it's about giving drivers the impression that a truck with its lights on means nothing. Man those rigs pickup speed quickly
Why was 22 engine parked back in the bay that far
Wow!! I can't believe how many people don't care and just keep driving!!!
...keep that point of view in your videos, its perfect!
still does not justify taking an emergency so lightly
they should at least show a sense of urgency and put the siren to more use
have a look at Toronto, they get how to respond in a big city.
they dont know what is pull over to the right?
that's some gnarly traffic
its the FDNY they know what they're doing, its not like they were formed yesterday.
probably a no-stopping zone , similar to fire lanes for other buildings...
is that you in the beginning?
dream job!

The FDNY needs to step up their game and ramp up the EQ2B
For an ERS box if anything there would be a few calls coming in if there was something wrong.
Nice vid but even the siren sounded depressed trying to get through that traffic on the tight streets.
"fire trucks can drive the wrong way down a one-way avenue as needed in the fire lane" - aaroads
there needs to be a law put in place so fire trucks can legally ram/push anyone who blocks them or doesnt move out of the way
ERS box?
No wonder why no one is moving. That siren is ineffective

Nah you just couldn’t hear inside the cab
you should do a ride along with engine 258 and ladder 115 that's my dads friends company
well when you become FDNY Commissioner you can get on their asses and tell them to rush to these calls risking other peoples lives for crap like this.
If they had smaller trucks like London they'd be able to zig zag in between lanes and traffic a lot more.
and this is why i dont live in that city.. people wont even get out of the way for an emergency vehicle....
Lights and Siren to get back to the firehouse? Fkn joke.
That black car is not giving a crap
I hate that noise I don't know why they use the air horn also
That is THE worst sounding siren I have ever heard in my life.
