The first tune is called the Homeruler, which was composed by Frank McCollum, the second tune I recently learnt from a local session and I still haven't discovered it's name. If you know what it is called, please add a comment.
I have a Patreon website, where there are lessons, featuring different styles and approaches to playing. Plenty for those folks first learning to play fiddle, or those who are more experienced player. Drop by for a visit and see what is available. / peakfiddler

Well played! Too many fiddlers ride the express train today and lose the soul of the tunes they play!
Well played! Nice ambiance too.
How fun - cheery and uplifting! LOVE the background; British pubs are the best and I wish I was sitting in one, listening to this right now❣ Thanks as always for sharing your immense talent with us.
The second tune is Kitty's Wedding. These two great tunes are often played together. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much Jan for giving me the name of the second tune. So helpful, cheers.
Thank you for yet another wonderful tune! Merry Christmas to you and everyone you care about.
And also happy holidays to everybody else who is into this beautiful music.

Hey Peak, how are you. Can you please tell me which strings you favour? I've been working my way through a whole heap of them for years, but I have never really found a satisfactory string. Thanks mate.
Currently, I'm using Dominant's on the fiddle you are listening to here. with paper clips on the bridge to remove the bright tones created by the space I play in. I often use Pirastro Tonica's on other fiddles because are a decent price. Strings are so expensive it prevents too much experimentation, unlike guitar strings which are far less costly.
@@peakfiddler Yeah, that's right. I play the guitar as well, and it's a lot more affordable. Fiddle string prices are insane. I use a paperclip on my bridge as well, I learned it from you, a couple of years ago, and it's made a huge difference to the sound of my fiddle. I struggle with the E string on the fiddle, with the harshness of it, and I have only recently found out that it is common thing among fiddlers, and that a lot of people seek out a specific E string that suits them, which they then use with other strings from another set, or sets. Right now I'm looking for a soft, mellow E string, and I think I want a synthetic one, of which there aren't many. Have you ever found and/or used a synthetic E string?
