If there is ever someone worthy of a Nobel peace price it is André and his orchestra. All over the world he brings joy and friendship in every possibly musical language. He must have touched millions and millions by now.
I agree, there are fans from all over the world, having fun and enjoying Andre's beautiful music ❤❤❤
Please let it bring peace
Napoleonic wars:
It is an absolute and unnegotiable fact the where ever Andre Rieu appears, there are only happy faces and happy people. Andre Rieu, ambassador of music!
That is absolutely true! Praise God for Andre
Hell yeah
Except for the critics, but screw them, what do they know?
Except for that Man on the Roland , sitting behind Andre with intense concentration , trying to match the tempo at which they're fiddling and trying to filter out the crowd's clapping.. he looks quite un-happy 😑😑
Undisputable fact
The hardest part is tuning out the crowd clapping off beat while playing... Great stuff!
I was wondering, if that's die to a sounding echo in the stadium. "?"
Beth Bartlett no they were just off.
They are syncopating
There's probably a delay in the speakers. So the audience is hearing the music 0.1 seconds after we are
Dr. Matterhorn surely they’d be clapping at the right speed but off-beat then? You can clearly hear them clapping at a completely different speed to the music
John Sheahan was one of the greatest of the great Irish folk musicians. A member of The Dubliners from '64 to 2012, when the name of the group was retired, he was loved and admired throughout Ireland and the world.
John Sheahen is thankfully still alive. Phew.....I had to check myself to be certain AND I'm irish. I was worried that I had been living under a rock and your (unintended ) mention of him in the past tense hinted at his passing.
"I met my Giri at the gas station works........
John is still alive and well
John is still very much alive, he played the tin whistle at Shane MacGowan’s funeral on 8 December.
100%
The Dubliners were the best band ever and are greatly missed.
A band of raw musical talent, true legends of Ireland.
what if the best people? LOVE FROM RUSSIA
So true. 😢
How can you perform in Ireland without having John Sheahan :D Such a beautiful performance.
Those smiles make up the whole video, love it

Memories for most of them, brings those smiles Ig. Love it
❤MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL❤
This song literally radiates happiness and I myself can’t get enough!!
I don't understand how there are no other comments on the poor piccolo who had to keep pace with all that. They only show him while the tempo is still rather slow and calm but they don't bother to show us his suffering as the windows to sneak even a tiny breath continue to shrink until he has to finish the last few stanzas without breathing at all. No wonder his last few notes are so shrill as he fights the urge to pass out in the last few moments. What a legend!!🤣🤣
It's not a piccola, it's a tin whistle, and many many people in iIreland can play it even faster!
I love Ireland and Irish music. Should have been born there. Have lots of Irish music. Play it all the time.
Ara you'd be fed up of it if you heard it all the time! Although Irish dancing is great craic and great exercise especially when it gets faster at the end!!!
@joanne breland same, I'm from Germany and love this music. Also I like scottish bagpipes, but that's another story.
Joanne drop the b in your surname and you’ll be one of us lol 😂
I am Scottish of Irish decent and I am fine with that
@@agoodSlytherin2005 I am a piper
The crowd being off beat is not important they are feeling the joy of music in their souls and the energy is awesome.
I wonder if they were actually that off beat or if it was just a microphone delay
Proud to have been there Absolutely electric when John went up on stage ...2 masters and the smiles are soooo infectious and loving ...what a bond between them ☘️😉🙏🌞😘👏❤️🧘♂️🐝🤛
It must have been grand ~ 😉
no matter where you are in the World, you hear anything Irish and it brings you there......enjoy
Oh, my God! I am from Brazil but i'm crazy for irish music. It's so vibrant and full of life.
I'm Irish. This is by far my favorite song. It doesn't get better than this. :)
Irish American here. My Dad used to play it on the piano when I was a kid. Nothing but joy.....I always called it, "The Irish jig", not knowing its real name.
Do you know the name of it??
John Sheahan is a stunning musician. A member of The Dubliners but in fact has guested with many many top musicians. He’s genius level x
One of the greatest Irish Musicians ever performing with one of the greatest orchestras on the planet.
You'll struggle to find anything better.
Other than John's performance at the Gaiety in Dublin ;)
greatest orchestra??? what about Berlin Philharmonic, London Symphony, Vienna Phil etc etc. Rieu is cheap entertainment
@@mikewalsh6168 maybe not the greatest orchestra but they make a unique show that the other orchesrtas probably don't do
I absolutely love the pure joy on John and Andre's faces as they perform.
I love this video. Andre is so joyful playing with another great violinist John Sheahan, this happy song Irish Washerwoman. It is a gift to watch it and enjoy it too.!
I had to create a few UA-cam accounts to like this more than once.
Even after a few years it's still such a great performance
There isn't a single person there who is not smiling. Awesome.
Once in a generational talent, a truly world class musician. And André Rieu.
John Sheahan be like: Finally a worthy opponent, our duo will be legendary!
Great performance as always.
Two masters of their craft, a sight of pure magic.
This is one of all time favorites for me. What a wonderful duet between two masters violinists. It is so uplifting and seeing Andre so happy is superb!!!!
The Irish Vibe 🍀
Stirs my Irish Pride! Slainte!
When you start to play native songs of your village at a festival of your village. This is exactly what happens in my village (in Germany).
Musicians who love their job, playing for people who are so passionate about their performance that they jump up and dance. Performed by a classical orchestra. This is the Peak of Music; what every musician hopes for!
Can’t believe they stayed on beat the whole time while the crowd was off!! Bravo!
Came here to say this 😂👹
Yes , that is why crowd should refrain form clapping, especially when it's getting fast, they only get worse and there is always a lag from back of crowd to front.
Super!!!BRAVO!!,
My favorite Irish song is "Go On Home British Soldiers". It has one of the most beautiful melodies ever. Happy holiday brothers 🇷🇸💚🇮🇪
I saw John Sheahan perform when he played with the Dubliners in my hometown, up North in The Netherlands. They played their butts of and were fantastic, just as great as het is in this video, both men are real musicians, love them.
The effect it had on me was magical. If anything could melt a person's heart it's music.
Ireland don't ever change. This is fabulous.
This is such a heart warming song
ok what did i just witness here! two legends taking the same stage and performing together one of the hardest songs to play on just about any instrument known to man...that to me is a work of art!
Absolutly perfect. Two amazing violinist, and perfect artists in orchestra too. The crowd couldn' t keep up with the pace of clapping. Big bravo to everyone. The best artists and the best music on the world.❤
How fabulous was that, just utterly joyful... anyone feeling down, watch this . Those happy faces says it all.
How awesomely played..words arent enough to describe the happiness by the way it has been played.take a bow you all
Beautiful,
Thank you both two precious violonists.💕
These are truly some incredibly skilled musicians as evidenced by the fact they can stay in time despite a crowed hall full of people clapping off beat.
I had not heard this until today - 2018-01-06 - I LOVED IT~!!! I played it 4 times! The reaction of the audience was a treasure when they heard the first notes from John Sheahan, then Andre - then people clapping, smiling, dancing - again, I loved this!!
OMG! I am an African and Andre Rieu with Sheahan has been my best violinist growing up as a child... Netherland and Irish.. Oh God I need to visit Maastricht ireland
👏👏👏👏👏❤❤❤❤❤💖💖💖💋
FUN-TASTIC! The inimitable John Sheahan bringing even the great André Rieu to his limits with his virtuosity on the fiddle. Éire beo fada.
If I was musically inclined, playing with Andre Rieu would probably be my life's dream. Imagine the pleasure and satisfaction of being on that stage with him :)
So wonderful. Some people spend decades sharing and when they have a chance to smile, everyone smiles.
He is magic wherever he goes. Wonderful person
Just look at how much joy has been captured in this video (and hopefully spreading beyond the screen)
Class love John and Andre together one of the Dubliners and he still going strong 💚🇮🇪
How can one person bring so much joy and peace, and others just ...choose to do just the opposite...

Makes me so so proud to be Irish ... wow what a performance
Do you known the name of this song?
Yasmin Moura it's called "Irish Washerwoman"!!
Iris Jensen where are you from?
I just LOVE Andre Rieu's orchestra and the wonderful music they all play. Such a joy to listen to his happy concerts!
If Ireland didn't love him already then this duo sealed it for eternity
I'm Irish nd I love this tune
The Power of Music.
Heard this tune at the end scene of The Sweeney 2 , The movie over 40 years ago and never new the title or heard it again, heard it today by accident while brushing my teeth and in a flash recognised it and brought me back to those good old days of my youth.
Absolutely fantastic, two masters of they're craft enjoying themselves
I’ve been looking for this for years!! So glad I finally found it 🤩🤩🤩
"The crowd, unimpressed by the music, sat quietly and gave no cheers at all."
-J.K. Rowling.
Currently learning fiddling.. looking forward to the day I can do the Irish roll 🎉😊
Every time I see Andre and his JSO perform it's a happy and amazing experience especially with his guest performers such as John. Brilliant !
Didn‘t know that Santa is such a good violinist.
What else is he gonna do for 11months
LMAO
I thought the exact same lmao

@@BC-qb1dh Was thinking the same thing, he has plenty of time to fill so why not practice? 😂
I count myself luck to hear this song again- playing together with Mr.Rieu.
Dunno why “The clapping off beat” is such a pain, just appreciate the meaning stop being so judgemental it’s a fantastic piece music just enjoy it.
Indeed and in any case they are syncopating
This song reminds me of my late Irish mother. When ever this song came on, she could not help but dance.
Aaaahhhh, music the language that everybody in the world speak of.
Omg the crowd is so off beat it’s killing me, they are great musicians for being able to keep tempo while the crowd is so off tempo
I agree but come on. They are all elderly they hardly could follow such a quick beat. They loved it though it seemed
Iarlaith O Hara And all pissed on Guinness no one party’s like the Irish ☘️👍🍺
i think the issue is playback. In other words, they arent off the beat but they are being recorded at slight delay, unfortunately
Shiny Happy People.....and all you can do is whinge...
Does it really matter if the crowd are off beat andre and John are two great tatalented musicians.
When a fiddle meets a violin 🎻👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Fabulous
Brllismo concierto. Cordial saludo Desde Colombia
Proud to be IRISH!! Erin Go Bragh❣️☘️😘🇮🇪
Grazie a voi tutti
In a fiddle duel: Dont mess with John Sheahan...!
Rare it is to have two of the greatest violin players living on the same stage.
Look what music do to people!
Greetings to our dear Irish people, greetings from Portugal
I think for me its about time to visit Dublin... and meet the people who live there.. great!

What a joy they bring to the people. Great performance.
John Shahan, JA wow der Mann kann was. Dubliners, John mit Barney.....Hammer
I want this played at my funeral as my coffin is getting carried to my grave and as it gets faster the people have to run with my coffin and launch it into the hole quickly like a Dave Allen sketch. lol
LOL
😁😁❤♣️
Every chance of it happening if you die in Ireland. Check out "Finnegan's Wake" song on YT.
Thats a terrible thought and yet im laughing like crazy

Happy St. Patrick's Day 2019 from Dublin, Ireland :)
Here the words are redundant, it's beautiful❤
Most AWESOME!!!!!!!!
My god you just can't beat irish music for making people so happy
audience would throw me off, but they love it!
Good old Irish audience pal
Incorporating the audience in the music is part of what made Andre Rieu's presentations so immensely popular.
@@Arsinoe22 : Exactly. The audience were so off the beat and off-tempo that as a performer, I would find it very difficult to stay in time. And as a listener, I found it very off-putting!
