Add a 2 stroke class and the fans will be jumping out of their seats for a whole new crop of winners and contenders, bringing greater marketing value to the sport.

I was at Indy cheering you on brother. That bike sounds great and looks so awesome. Your lcq race was really good I watched you blow by at least 5 to 6 guys. You ride that bike very well.
The mentioned STIC Keihin carb meter block insert is no joke. While providing big gains to the low to mid, it also adds peak hp and over-rev. 30 minute max install time. BTW, both jets go up 2(pilot) and 5(main) steps. So he's not kidding when he says it helps a lot. It creates a rapid cooled vapor delivery. When a head requires 98 octane on a 125 for example, premium pump gas can be used. My old KTM 200SX engine is bone stock and I went from a 100/90 to a 110/80. No drop in lugging or power delivery. That's equal to 2.75 teeth down on the rear sprocket! It's like going 25cc big-bore, but it revs much quicker and farther.
I love when people ask our jetting and they think i'm crazy. It really is impressive what that thing does, and it sounds wicked compared to a stock carb.

Basically a back to back test with the stock cast OEM Keihin PWK. People are extremely curious, and if there is Something that can boost the two stroke engines, peoples eyes and ears opens up. If you can gain any advantage over the stock application it is a win win.

It can be tuned to a point where it's difficult to manage from off idle to lower mid-range. I understand that there is no way to imagine the performance potential. Imagine a 125 with an exceptionally broad powerband and low end that doesn't want to bog or stall out. No cylinder and case work will do that.
Me being well on my way to being an old geezer and having my first good bike being a 1985 YZ125...... I think this throwback look is an awesome representative of the 1987 YZ models 👍

Wishing you as much luck as you need...I started riding and racing 2-strokes back in 1973 and even though I have a couple modern 4-strokes(which are nice) I still seem to prefer any of my garage full of 2-strokes... something about the sound and feel just makes them more fun. It's a real shame the racing has gotten away from 2-strokes...just the cost of maintenance alone makes it tough for up and coming privateers.

@@Corteum a direct injected 250 or 300 would be revolutionary. No more premix, just shoot a jet of oil up to the bottom of the cylinder to spread out. A small supercharger on a 2 stroke could also remove the oil premix and oil burning. Once they do that, the 2 stroke will make a huge comeback and possibly come back to the pro series racing.
If @AMA wasn’t such cucks with displacement rules we would already have had the 300sx and tx300 in the 450 class with 250 smokers in the 250f class like they do across the pond in Europe .

They basically made Yamaha cheat by using the 400 4 stroke they made specifically to beat slightly modified 250 bikes. I really just want to see the 250/300 compete with the 450 class and the 125 compete in the 250 class. The power to weight levels are basically the same, and that's how racing should be classed, power to weight.

I know the 250 two-strokes run in the 450 class and my question is can you run a larger motor, or is 250cc max? It seems like if you could get just a few more cc's displacement you could run to the first turn with the four-strokes.
For two strokes in the 450 class the displacement is 250cc nothing above that is allowed. The major differences is still the torque. In the right circumstances he would be able to pull a holeshot, its not impossible but it is hard to pull against full Factory 450s today. But mind you that the 450f of the pro’s are usually detuned so he is not night and days of in peak HP, but again the low end torque. But this bike is fast, no one should believe something else. But sure if the AMA and FIM were fair with the rules they should have made the ratio more fair. But the "missmatch" is not like the 125cc and 250f, those are night and days different powerwise
AMA HAS to make a two-stroke class. Would be SO SICK.

Id like to know more about the CDI. This is basically the same as a factory bike just without the factory support. Easily a $30k + bike
It is a GET CDI, programmed with 2 maps by the engine builder.

Rear brake pedal safetywire. Prevents twigs being caught between the engine and the foot brake lever and the foot brake lever being bent or blocked.

I know the 250 two-strokes run in the 450 class and my question is can you run a larger motor, or is 250cc max? It seems like if you could get just a few more cc's displacement you could run to the first turn with the four-strokes.
For two strokes in the 450 class the displacement is 250cc nothing above that is allowed. The major differences is still the torque. In the right circumstances he would be able to pull a holeshot, its not impossible but it is hard to pull against full Factory 450s today. But mind you that the 450f of the pro’s are usually detuned so he is not night and days of in peak HP, but again the low end torque.
But this bike is fast, no one should believe something else. But sure if the AMA and FIM were fair with the rules they should have made the ratio more fair.
But the "missmatch" is not like the 125cc and 250f, those are night and days different powerwise
