🤦 bruh yeah right! Especially now days. Mechanics are a dime a dozen. They do what they are told. It’s not like the mechanic is coming up with some bad ass new setup na, that coming from moto gpx and japan. Lmao not this lame ass 🤡
This was rad to see love deegs/duffe combo you can tell he really admires the kids work ethic and heart he has in the sport. I've seen comment after comment keep these two together and I totally agree he knows deegan is a future champ is going to win a lot I think they are a remarkable team and look forward to watching them this summer
My buddy Andrew Bauer from MN, all around good dude and mechanic tried like hell to get into the pro pits. He did it by wrenching for a bed and meals for mid level privateers. I think he may have worked on Davi Millsaps practice bikes for a bit. It is easy enough to get into the industry getting to where Duffe is though is incredibly difficult. Well done sir!
Nope, easy I bet. If you are good at what you do, and somebody needs your talent, you just have to do a little networking, (getting known), and if something is not there, I bet there will be shortly. But, you have to have the skills. That is why dopey Mathis has a pod cast now.
@@EarthSurferUSA Easy. Because there are 100 bike that show up every week and 200 more practice bikes so there is obviously plenty of bike for every kid that wants to be a professional mechanic to work on. He couldn’t have said it better and he is 100% right Haiden is a great person and has really worked hard to get where he is and you can never buy the talent and skills he has and he is the Future and I’m so proud and happy for him and his Family and his Team and again I love that 50th anniversary Yamaha also Thank you guys for sharing this amazing video and his mechanic is awesome and he is to a great person and him and Haiden are like McGrath and Skip was back in the 90s and I’m super proud of them and also always got to Thank his Dad Brian as well for the way he raised him and showing him the path to success and I want to wish them all the best always #TheDeegans #HaidenDeegan #BrianDeegan #RacerX @Duffe
I think he is more like RC. MC was a puss outdoors. But he did win a national title between ovulation's. lol I don't think Haiden will let Jett win 73 SX races. Might be the other way around. :)
And Deegans handled that issue as well as could be. A rule to force you to give up your private property? That is lawlessness. That rule, I thought was gone in the 70's, and it needs to be off the books, to be moral.
@@EarthSurferUSA the entire purpose of the rule is to stop people like the Deegans turning up on a bike worth 100k. You're whats wrong with this sport, get help.
Haiden wouldn’t be haiden without duffe.duffe doesn’t want the attention but he makes sure that bike and haiden are ready come Saturday…duffe is one of the coolest dudes you’ll ever meet…matter fact, the Yamaha team dudes are pretty good fellas
I say he is ready for 450 after these nationals, and he will win some races during his first big bike season. From start to finish, I think he is a "stand out" also, next to Jett.
I have a good feeling of the extent of work they got in this bike. I mean obviously they will want to change gearing it’s not a secret, the engines being built specifically for the factory teams are no more then custom porting, custom pistons, custom lightened crankshafts/rods, cryogenic treated transmission. All parts most likely has been micro polished or Nickle plated such as the piston for longevity hince why he says they are reliable parts in the engines. Ceramic bearings. I’ve build bikes with them before super expensive for maybe 500rpm difference. Just from testing purposes it’s all I’ve seen. Now with the clutch I’m curious about. But I don’t think it’s all that factory like they make it out to be. Maybe if they designed a custom bore piston that is within the rules which what pro factory team these days especially on the amateur level follows them??? The camshafts are custom grind cams from guys that know how to do the math with making camshafts like some of the guys I’ve used. There’s a few so no names in particular unless you want to ask… The valves are also possibly custom machines valves. Porting they have to test on a flow bench , that is nothing new. I do that. But also epoxy on the ceiling of the intake port to force induction straight into the combustion chamber. Too much volume of air because induced in the port could trap air and make the bike not run as good. Sometimes more isn’t always better. Custom valve spring rates for higher over revving… why you think haiden is always launching like a rocket once the gate drops vs the other riders??? Higher over rev engine with lightened crankshafts, and “factory” transmission. Custom ignition system. Custom fuel system. Custom chassis. Custom intake/exhaust systems. (Proven at dyno.) Sure they run dual injector like everyone else. Also when they talked about clutch, I have used different springs before from other applications and the clutch felt soft or stiff. I had experienced this before just seeing I Fn it was possible. But the same applies to the valves. Softer springs will just allow valves to open/close faster, thus increasing over rev. Anybody can build a factory race bike but get real who has $50k laying around to build one. And I know it cost way more than that to research and develop. Then make multiple race bikes because they want more riders now to win more championships. But yea I mean engine alone in these race bikes are probably $25k in research and development. The rest is testing the ignition system, dyno, suspension etc. If it were me, electric water pump and external oil cooler that can be welded underneath the radiator. Or a custom radiator with it built in. And a catch can welded on frame. I know it will have some Blow by because thing is revving so high. Oh also forgot to mention, they have throttle body modifications and custom machines butterfly valves. So like he said, they like to breathe. That’s way to make easy power…. I’m building a race bike to be competitive on the “factory” level it’s more of an experiment and working with my resources but seeing how far it can go. Maybe 60ish horsepower for a 2024 yz250f. Maybe little more than that. Without it blowing up lol
Haiden has a badass bike. That purple back ground looks good on that bike. I bet next year he’ll have it again. I believe in him that he can take everyone to school.👍🙏💯✌️🤙✊😎💪🫡🇺🇸
I have a 24 250f and I’m looking to enlarge the tank. What tank are they using? How much gas does it hold? I’m seeing a 2.8 but that’s too big I think. Any help would be appreciated 🙂
Maybe the manufactures name is on their product, and you can pick up a phone and call them? Or search the streets. lol Where do you think you can get them son?
That was interesting. He wouldn't tell us the off set, the gearing, what the exhaust is, what's been done to the motor, rev limit, the air box modifications and fuel tank size. Air forks for supercross and springs for motocross. That's all I got out of it.
The closest you can get too a star Yamaha bike is with GYTR but their are a few secrets that all the pro teams hide from each other and they all want too know those secrets.
Haiden is Brian Deegans kid!!, and he does not have any tattoo's!!!!!!!!??? That kid is serious. I peg him tough to beat for his entire career. I like what he says. He is a confident kid, and I love to see it. :)
I am old school, but before and during the time when freestyle took off around 1995. They all ride with high bars today, more forward body, and more rear end sag (100 to 105mm typ), so they don't tease the front end trail too much, (but it still bites them once in a while). I got back into riding a few years back (60 now), and I could not stand the freestyle set up. I could not feel the front tire biting into the ground as well for cornering (OK in a berm though), and the bars felt twitchy. Today, I see go-pros at amateur tracks, and man there are a lot of kids who are very slow in the corners, but good jumpers. I see quite a few pros falling on flat ground into and out of corners too. Maynbe good for rhythm sections,---but it is a freestyle set up, and it amazes me because I think I am seeing a irrational "sheep mentality".
I would be so fast on this bike! At 64 years old, those guys better be glad I'm not out there with them. I would surely cause them to crash because I would be like a road block when they came up on me. But boy on the straightaways I would be screwing it on! lol

You are looking at it the wrong way IMO. I am 60 now, and I thought that "claiming rule" was gone in the 70's, because it is immoral to be forced out of your private property. If we have rules like that, it can extend in other places, like illegal immigrants claiming your home. It is all about proper law, that protects private property, so that claiming rule is lawlessness. Deegans did the right and moral thing. They did not let their property get stolen (a payment/sale is agreed upon, voluntary. No force. The bike was not for sale. Lawlessness) Now for the "cheating bike". For some irrational reason, people think because he cheated, somebody gets to steal his bike. They are separate issues. The penalty for a cheater bike is disqualification---not bike confiscation. Now,---if you want to protect your own private property rights in your future,--you better understand my point of view. Because stuff like that is one way we lose our rights,---as we accept the "rule" good or bad. Happy to help. Doug in Michigan.

Redline ? Dont need no stinking rev limiter !
SUPERGOOD Mechanic Haiden!!
Thinking of claiming it ....🤔
