I do agree with you.. its all about the wearability. Its more practical to wear the 42mm due.. its thinner classier and we can wear it with more dress up
I think a plain, 3-6-9-12 dial with no seconds hand and a hand wound movement is still the best way to go for a Panerai. Just so simple and the hand wound movement means you actually have to flip the crown lock every 3 to 8 days depending on the movement.
I just picked up a luminor marina I agree but I got the sun second hand as I time 30 second intervals everyday at work as a physical therapist. I got the 8 day power reserve. Such a cool watch
I'm glad that I own a 312 which has been with me for the last 8 years, Panerai is a fun watch, the built quality is really good, it is simple yet very distinctive with rich history. You can easily dress it up or down. I think it will be hot again once people get tired of the currently over hyped brands.

How many people will actually go diving wearing a €7500 watch? 0.1% at the very most, so who cares about it not being the best usable diver? As long as you can swim with it, or jump into the water from a yacht, it will be perfectly suitable.
I bought a preowned Radiomir 183. Sold it. Realised that I really do like Radiomirs. Decided to ignore the negative comments about Panerai. Bought a new Radiomir 992. Happy now.
Thanks Adrian. I’ve been considering a Panerai for awhile. Would love to see a second video around your take on the counterfeit and movement stories associated with Panerai. That still gives me pause about the integrity of the brand.
I tried one. A 42mm Radiomir thinking it would be to big but was surprised how well it fitted my wrist. It felt very elegant and sleek. I can understand how they were so popular. If even asked the ad if they were not popular anymore but was told they are very much still popular and attract a lot of attention in the shop window.
First watch I was truly interested in was a Panerai. I’d seen it online accidentally after browsing Omega and Rolex but I’d never seen anything so unique. I was set on working towards purchasing one for myself. I hadn’t fully comprehended the size, though. I don’t have a ton of real estate on my wrist and the watch looked like a shoebox on my forearm. It was a depressing blow to the dream but a lesson in try it on before purchasing. Love the channel! Thanks for the content.
Hi Adrian - I’m a regular viewer of your channel from Hong Kong. Always appreciate your enthusiasm and thoughtful comments. My only suggestion would be a bit more diversification. I know you like to get watches “in hand” but that should not stop you from broadening your content as currently too much focus on Omega, Rolex and Tudor. Would be good to occasionally hear your thoughts on interesting pieces from the independents like Alain Silberstein, FP Journe etc…
I recently bought a Luminor Pam0796 and absolutely love it. It oozes quality. It’s 44mm - which is the standard size for Panerai- but does not wear too big on my 7” wrist. The 0796 is a ‘destro’ Luminor for left handers so has the crown guard on the other side. Very few watchmakers cater for left handed people who prefer to wear their watch on the right wrist. The only other example I can think of is the Tudor Pelagos.
Panerai is easily my favorite mechanical watch brand in my journey so far. I love the heritage, the distinctive design, and the superior quality. I actually dig that a lot of people prefer the same tired / safe watches over them - makes it even more fun to be a Panerista :)
the daily watch of my dad is panerai for a long time now, so i grew up seeing this watch on his wrist and at some point in the future i definitely want to own one as an homage to my dad
I’m a fan of Panerai, my wife has one of the early Dues at 38mm and she adores it. I’m concerned about this recent movement issue of using ETA and doing the “in-house” story….. and it confirms my personal feelings about the management team. I would look at the older Panerai pieces 372, 422, even a 560 than some of the PAMs. Would be interested in your comments Adrian about this movement story that’s recently serviced
The PAM0321 is my first and up to now only luxury watch. I searched carefully before I bought it new on Chrono24. An important criteria for me was having functions I would find useful and while I’ll never dive with it, I find it cool that it can go down to 300 meters. What I love about it besides history, in your face presentation, is the fact that it’s basically a travel watch. GMT, easy time zone adjustment, date and power reserve. 3 day automatic. Love the leather strap with matching stitch color. Display back. A watch for me has to be functionally useful,
One thing you didn’t mention about the PANERAI range is that some models come with an exhibition case-back. I have a preference for the 38mm DUE but they do not (or did not) exhibit the mechanism. The 42mm Luminor GMT does exhibit and that was enough to sway my purchase decision . . . and I quickly got used to the bulk
Got my first Panerai (Luminor Firenze) this week… what timing for this video. Always wanted one cuz if that crown guard and thought it simply cool. Great review
I consider myself among the Paneristi, having 4 models. I love the charm and uniqueness of Panerai and visited Firenze several years ago. I myself prefer the older hand-winding models, having a year 2000 PAM055, a 2002 PAM112, a 372, and finally an auto - the PAM1024. People liked to knock PAMs for the size, neglecting to consider the fact that the case size was required because of the pocket-watch movements inside. This and the crown guard became Panerai DNA and I would not have it any other way.
Well said regarding the size. It puzzles me to see people laud heritage but yet bash size (which is part of heritage). You have a cool collection there man. Wear them in good health.
As a small private watch collector I mainly had Rolex and Omega. Had some people in my watch group mention Panerai and I always thought way too big, didn’t give much thought. Started really looking into the brand after years and was hell bent on getting a Luminor for the crown guard. Manual wind 8 days. Well, after going in and looking at all Models, going back to my AD 3 days in a row, I did a flip and fell in love and purchased the Panerai Radiomir PAM00572 micro rotor and “I LOVE IT” I enjoy wearing it, looking at it and dare say (my favourite watch even over my Rolex’s 😅) I am now looking at more Panerai and love the brand now. I am secretly hooked and I totally get it now. The Radiomir with the slim case, I’m house movement, off centre micro rotor and beautiful dial won me 100% and no matter what anyone tells me. I love it.
Great video Adrian, agree 100%, Panerai vastly underated. The PAM 00795 to me seems to offer the ideal combination of features the brand is known for. Manual wind, 8 day movement, Power reserve indicator, Sandwich dial, 44mm case size
Panerista here. PAM351 was the 2nd “nice” watch I added years ago to the collection and still have it-It will likely never leave. Best thing about the luminor marina line is that you can buy a new strap and practically feel like you got a new watch. Easily changing straps is the best part of owning a Panerai. I’ve taken mine on lots of vacations, snorkeling, hiking, snowboarding, etc. rugged enough for daily use but change the strap and you can rock it with a nice suit too. I also love the sandwich dial- best looking lume on a dial by far and very legible. These watches are not about precision, hence the lack of minute hash marks. Instead they’re all about style, comfort, legibility and versatility. The older models like mine are also slightly more desired because they don’t have the stupid “automatic” text at 6 o’clock on the dial, ruining the symmetric look. Some prefer the slightly thicker case of the older models too. I’ve tried on the newer/slimmer versions and am glad I have the old case design. But to each their own.
Love the dress watch, not planning on diving in the ocean or even swimming any time soon so the 30 mts water resistance doesn't matter to me.... lovely piece!!! would be interested to know what you thought of the zenith 6150 as ive always admired it and its recently been put on sale
I bought a PAM610 recently and I LOVE it. The simplicity, elegance and inner "grit" make it a thing of beauty. Super happy to have this and my trusty Omega Speedmaster as my interchangeable couple. The right Panerai for you is a wonderful thing, but do choose carefully.
Nice video Adrian. A point I think worth making with brands in the richemont group (more than SWATCH and LVMH I feel) is that the pressure seems to be off every brand to fill every segment - they seem quite happy for panerai to be a one trick pony as long as that trick is doing ok, likewise JLC, Cartier etc. It makes comparing brands within groups that are like role players in a team with independents (or flagships like Omega) a little tricky.
Hi Adrian, thanks for looking on the legendary Panerai. But .... a Panerai begins in my holy opinion at 44 mm and must be big. There are some awesome watches in the "normal" size, look at them. After a lot of other watches I bought, AP, Vacheron, Rolex, Omega etc. 2 months ago, I bought a Luminor PAM 00372 47 mm for me and a Luminor Base 44mm 8 Days PAM00914 8 Days for my wife. The watches are fantastic, and I love them so much, that they get a lot of wrist time. My wife loved her Date Just like nothing else, but since she has her Luminor ..... Best regards Edgar
I wasn’t interested in Panerai for a long time because of the size of most models. But I tried on the gmt version and bought it. It gets a lot of wrist time, looks distinctive, and as you say, it wears comfortably.
Great vid as always! I wasn't sure about Panerai for years, until recently, when I had a look at the Due range in my local AD. I'm still not sure id buy it, but the titanium PAM00926 absolutely blew me away.
I have a PAM01537 and absolutely love it … cool and unique look and, at 42MM, super comfortable on the wrist. Love the 72 hr power reserve too… Panerai is a great and necessary addition to anyone’s collection
I bought a PAM 00392 about 8 years ago as I was a fan of the watch and liked it’s uniqueness. As it’s my only watch on a leather strap it is my de facto “dress” watch. It is rather chunky for that purpose, but I still love it’s look and feel. Panerai is a niche brand, but I do t see that as a negative. The watch still keeps great time and is yet to be serviced. For the price I’d say it’s a good buy.
My Radiomir 425 is the best made watch I’ve ever owned, including Seamasters and Submariners. Buy pre-owned, let someone else soak up the initial depreciation and they are good value.
Totally agree with this video. My first luxury watch was a Panerai. I have moved to Rolex and only occasionally put on my Panerai, but when ever I do I get way more compliments and great conversations. I do no not mind that they are not as hot as they were in the early 2000’s.
I ditched most of my watches (actually passed them on to my son) including my omega seamaster for this Panerai luminor marina which is now my everyday watch. It's fantastic.
Panerai Luminor was my first luxury watch and have fallen in love with the brand ever since. They are also built so incredibly well. I've been wearing my luminor daylight on the daily and haven't had it serviced once in over 12 years! Taking it in for an overall service this month. Definitely looking to getting another one since the service will take over 25 weeks!
Nice one Adrian. Love my PAM 183. Simple, time only, manual wind, ETA movement for ease of servicing and a true strap monster. Love Panerai.. totally underrated in my opinion
I wold love to buy a Luminor to add to the collection. As you say the overall package is genuine;y very good. They are not a watch to buy and sit on to watch the value go up, you’ll lose your ass doing that, buy, wear, enjoy a fun, well made timepiece!
I have the PAM 1392 (the 2392 but with crystal back and fauxtina) and absolutely love it. Fauxtina is much maligned but I think it looks stunning with a brown strap (worth mentioning the ease of changing straps); the 42mm size means I don't have trouble with cuffs, but it's plenty big enough to be easily read. And it keeps very good time. What's not to like?
Never a huge fan of Panerai, but I must say that they have grown on me a lot over the last couple of years. They are truly unique in a time when there is a lot of parody between the popular watch models, and new releases are really just slight revisions to the same thing.
I recently got a Luminor Base 3 day, I love the simplicity of the dial paired with the chunky industrial, yet polished case. The crown guard is epic, and a nice feature. The dealer / salesperson told me they are addictive and I would be back…and I keep looking at the submersible.. I guess you’ve heard the Sly Stallone story about how he discovered them while filming. Quite interesting. Great video!
Don't other Richemont companies like IWC and Cartier use Richemont owned Valfleurier movements also? Panerai seems to always get hate for this but others escape it. IWC and Cartier put their own reference numbers on movements not made in -House also. This is what Panerai have done and the guy who has major personal problems with the company has blown it up because Hodinkee said in-house. This is similar to Omega and Co-Axial. I would love to see a side by side of a Panerai/IWC caseback Vs a Tudor black Bay silver which is in-house. The difference in decoration is massive between them
I’ve always like the shape of a Panerai. Distinctive and instantly recognisable. I’d buy on in a heart beat. The sub looks epic to me, however in reality a Luminor will more than likely be what I get. One day, you’ll be mine….
I just bought my first Panerai last month, a Radiomir Pam 183. I always hated Panerai because of the cheap movement, easily fake & high price. But once i tried a 45mm Radiomir on my wrist everything changes 🤩🇮🇹. For a 2009 watch it still hold its value 👍
Hi Adrian, I’ve been using the PAM048 since last 4 years. Its very different compared to what Rolex,Omega and the brands offer. It stands out. I like it and people often ask me what a Panerai feels like on the wrist.
Great video and discussion. Love the history and design language of Panerai. Resonates on so many levels. Just bought myself a PAM 210. A brand that has more heritage and meaning than other watch concerns can dream of. Italian frogmen in wwii navigating murky waters with their Panerais to sink enemy battleships in their own port? Stuff of legends.
amazing lesson of history and the line explanation. my personal experience with PAM 960 Carbotech 42 mm purchased in December 2020 i am an active person, doing sports, lots of water activities. after one of my trips to the beach my bezel got stuck and nothing seemed to help to bring it back to action had to drop it down to the boutique for a check up result - couldn't be fixed in the service center - shipped to Switzerland, resting there somewhere on the shelf as i write these lines. different from case to case but my experience is not smooth at all but to add on a wearability - yes, its an impressive piece/daily wearer for sure
I have always love Panerais but if you have too many in your collection, you will find that they all looked almost the same in my opinion. Right now, I only keep a Radiomir, a Luminor 1950 and a Submersible 47 in my collection. Very reliable never had any issues with them. They get more wrist time than my Rolex and Omega. Appreciate your opinion about Panerais. Great review! Thanks
I love my two Panerai in my collection. They are amazing, keep great time, are insanely comfortable to wear and just feel right. It’s a shame that sometimes they seem to have “issues” with the term in-house for absolutely no reason. Sigh… one of mine has a Unitas movement and the other the P.9000 (in-house, really really, 109% confirmed)
If someone is thinking about getting a Panerai I think you will absolutely love it. Once it hits your wrist it makes you a believer. Nothing else on the market is like a Panerai
I'm not sure if they make their own in houses at all, or at the very least I know there are few models that claim in house but clearly use ETA. Maybe they replace 80% of the parts? I don't know. A submersible looks good at ~5k.
The P900 movement isn't what I'd call in house. I've read its based on a ValFluerier ebauche. A lot of money considering. Its still a nice watch but £5500?? People say a Rolex Oyster Perpetual 41mm is expensive. At least it is in-house and you get a steel bracelet, oh and its £800 cheaper.
Hey Adrian, I owned a PAM 0012 some years ago and flipped it. I loved the watch, but it was a bit bulky and didn't get much wrist time. HOWEVER, The Panerai Due 42mm is definitely on my radar. Overall I agree that Panerai is an incredible watch at this price point and a rich heritage to boot!
Love my PAM 1312. The beauty behind Panerai is that you can find something that ticks all your boxes. I wanted 44mm, sandwich dial, in-house movement and display case back. The 1312 had all that for me. Bought mine through DavidSW. Great watch.
There’s a lot of haters but I think Panerai is just cool. Especially the Luminor Due. You are getting a watch with history, it’s Italian, it has a unique design, I don’t think you can go wrong.
100% Love Panerai unique look and break away from the flock of sheep looking at Rolex and potentially never going to get one. Love Rolex but that wait list is grinding me down and won't pay a premium as don't support the flippers charging crazy prices.
I love my PAM 673. Panerai's military dive watch history and connection to Rolex is unique. I don't understand why they don't make the Due 100M water resistant.
I have a pair of Panerai....a 392 and 233. I love the 233 which has a very large thick dome crystal, sandwich dial and 8 day power reserve. Far and away my favorite watch. It wears a bit smaller at 44 mm than my 42 mm 392 which although nice isn't as well balanced. Very well made watches that aren't for everyone given their size.
That 38mm is a killer dresser, and that 300m diver is stunning no matter which way cut it..adrian u opened my eyes to sonething I was averse too...I'm not in that bracket but they are memorable pieces as u eloquently put it
Enjoyed your video it was most informative and spot on in talking about and describing Panerai. I was never a big fan of Panerai but the Due collection sang to me and I bought one cream dial blue bracelet? Oh and if you love coffee try the BARRIE HOUSE BRAND roasted fresh evy day in Our roasting plant in New York.👍
Panerai *did* have a spell of being the "in" watch - back in 2005 I couldn't get any discount on my Pam 005, unlike my Rolex Sub, which I got 5% off without even asking. How things have changed 😂
@@BarkandJack The biggest laugh is, I sold the Sub after about 6 months *at a loss*, because I just didn’t get on with it. Still have the Panerai though.
A couple years ago I decided to add a Panerai to my collection. 8 bought a carbotec pam 00979 diver . Great watch and I'm glad to have it . I don't wear it often as it's a purpose built, large diver . I have 7.75" wrists and still it's a rather large watch . I have dove with it though, and it's certainly a robust peice. It has the in-house 9010 movement and has always run accurately and is reliable. All i all , a unique design.
Excellent Video… I just à Panerai PAM 914 i love everything about it, the case size, the dial, the crown guard, insanely a beautiful watch, never put back on my wrist a Rolex, Cartier or omega which I do own… love the Panerai brand totally different look ….
The Luminor Due line absolutely nails it. That and the Radiomir are the ones for me. Elegant but still bold. Do not like the gigantic luminors and submersibles. The anthracite dial luminor due is gorgeous. Same way the new Premier line makes me like Breitling.
I would tread carefully around doing something that looks like a review of a product while simultaneously trying to sell it...really really really not a fan of this. Love the review, love that your getting sponsors...maybe structure the video slightly differently next time.
Nice sum up at the end....really fun watches with deep heritage to own, very comfy on the wrist. I can't stop admiring my 2 pieces. The PAM 670 is my holy grail Pam.
As a Paneristi, who had been into Pams since 2007. Pams can be a hot watch again if Richemont stop pumping out watches. I think what Zenith had done recently was quite refreshing when less is more and focus on particular models and reach out to their fans (like zoom calls). The good thing before when owning a Pam was, not many people know about them, now Richemont has paraded the brand like a G-Shock and had in multiple times violated the heritage with its very lazy design team. Also having special editions are no longer special when you remake the special edition a few years later (e.g Pam 249 and 448) and having like a dozen special editions at one year doesn't make them "special" any more. Richemont needs to learn less is more, pumping the market with similar design pieces with inferior quality is almost like turning the brand into an expensive sweatshop.
@@michaelbishop9157 I agree with you 100%, the current brand direction is something I am not keen on and it will take a lot for me to buy from them again.
I have a 196 and a 188 basically the same watch, 1 black dial and 1 white. They were always grail watches. They are big, but they wear well, and they are built like tanks. Great perspective Adrian!
I've owned nearly 100 watches and Panerai definitely holds a special place in my heart. They're very original and have a certain charm to them on top of being very robust. Cheers
I seem to recall a few years ago they slapped an unfinished lower end Unitas movement in a limited edition run of watches. Not a brand I’d be able to trust.
Just got my first Panerai. Very underrated they are amazing quality and do what they do well. They also hold value very well as long as you buy it preowend there is always a market for them as they have a cult following.
Adrian, your are great! Like your charisma and style. Videos well done, smart, useful and right to the point. Loved Panerai looks for a long time (the base Luminor model only- 44mm for my wrist). The rest look awful to my eye. I will always miss the sweeping second hand - which is a must for almost any wrist watch - without it ... a watch looks “dead”. Panerai is not for everybody... you either love it or hate it. I made my own for a couple hundred dollars - very happy with the results - utility watch - Panerai look... custom affordable product... Please, keep producing your videos - you’ve got the looks, you’ve got the smarts - you will have a great success!!! Thank you.

Would be good to occasionally hear your thoughts on interesting pieces from the independents like Alain Silberstein, FP Journe etc…
Hi Jonty, thanks for watching. I’d love to cover some FPJ, but they are very hard to access, the same with most independents.
When a watch is neither one thing nor the other it's often polarizing - a bit like the dressy bi color Rolex explorer.
Nope that ,untill a solid gold comes, is so impractical that it’s cool.
I buy Panerai now instead of Rolex or omega. It is different and much more a utility brand. Great history.
Panerai is easily my favorite mechanical watch brand in my journey so far. I love the heritage, the distinctive design, and the superior quality. I actually dig that a lot of people prefer the same tired / safe watches over them - makes it even more fun to be a Panerista :)
Humble suggestion: along with all the dimensions, include the weight. Adds to the wearability assessment.
the daily watch of my dad is panerai for a long time now, so i grew up seeing this watch on his wrist and at some point in the future i definitely want to own one as an homage to my dad
Well, after going in and looking at all
Models, going back to my AD 3 days in a row, I did a flip and fell in love and purchased the Panerai Radiomir PAM00572 micro rotor and “I LOVE IT” I enjoy wearing it, looking at it and dare say (my favourite watch even over my Rolex’s 😅) I am now looking at more Panerai and love the brand now.
What does the power reserve do? There a battery?
I bought a PAM 00392 about 8 years ago as I was a fan of the watch and liked it’s uniqueness. As it’s my only watch on a leather strap it is my de facto “dress” watch. It is rather chunky for that purpose, but I still love it’s look and feel. Panerai is a niche brand, but I do t see that as a negative. The watch still keeps great time and is yet to be serviced. For the price I’d say it’s a good buy.
I love my 00392😉 especially as it’s 42mm.
My Radiomir 425 is the best made watch I’ve ever owned, including Seamasters and Submariners. Buy pre-owned, let someone else soak up the initial depreciation and they are good value.
Yes and make sure it's not one of the many fakes
I don't think they're well made - the crown guard fell off my 560 !
Panerai is most definitely making a comeback - I just purchased my first PAM and it truly is one of a kind. Great vid.
They've had more comebacks than a boomerang.
Haven’t Panerai just been caught out passing standard ETA movements off as their own in-house movements?
Yeah. Very silly of them.
Not for the first time either and also caught putting the most basic version of the movement in the watch. Not a company to be trusted.
Do you have a link of a news article regarding this ? id love to learn more
@@willsanches7441 ua-cam.com/video/uNE4QJy94CM/v-deo.html
Don't other Richemont companies like IWC and Cartier use Richemont owned Valfleurier movements also? Panerai seems to always get hate for this but others escape it. IWC and Cartier put their own reference numbers on movements not made in -House also. This is what Panerai have done and the guy who has major personal problems with the company has blown it up because Hodinkee said in-house. This is similar to Omega and Co-Axial. I would love to see a side by side of a Panerai/IWC caseback Vs a Tudor black Bay silver which is in-house. The difference in decoration is massive between them
I’ve had my eye on the PAM-512 fir a while now. Might just pull the trigger on that one. Excellent video and great style of vid. Cheers
I’ve always like the shape of a Panerai. Distinctive and instantly recognisable. I’d buy on in a heart beat. The sub looks epic to me, however in reality a Luminor will more than likely be what I get. One day, you’ll be mine….
Get one you won't regret it.
I bought my first panerai in 2006. And my third in 2013. Not interested in any current offerings, but i do love the brand.
Hi Adrian,
I’ve been using the PAM048 since last 4 years.
Stuff of legends.
amazing lesson of history and the line explanation.
my personal experience with PAM 960 Carbotech 42 mm
purchased in December 2020
i am an active person, doing sports, lots of water activities.
after one of my trips to the beach my bezel got stuck and nothing seemed to help to bring it back to action
had to drop it down to the boutique for a check up
result - couldn't be fixed in the service center - shipped to Switzerland, resting there somewhere on the shelf as i write these lines.
different from case to case but my experience is not smooth at all
but to add on a wearability - yes, its an impressive piece/daily wearer for sure
Thanks
Same here, one Radiomir, one Luminor Marina 1950 titanio
Hi Adrian,
I would love to see you doing a video with the Explorer and affordable alternatives, maybe including a Sinn 556I!
I’m a Panerai fan but tbh they should got sued because they charged more for the so called in-house movement…
LOVED the video! And your take on the 38mm
I love my PAM 673. Panerai's military dive watch history and connection to Rolex is unique. I don't understand why they don't make the Due 100M water resistant.
That would be the an awesome panerai with a huge appeal.
Are Panerai watches good? Short Answer: yes, Long answer, also yes.
That 38mm is a killer dresser, and that 300m diver is stunning no matter which way cut it..adrian u opened my eyes to sonething I was averse too...I'm not in that bracket but they are memorable pieces as u eloquently put it
Hopefully my next time piece.
Enjoyed your video it was most informative and spot on in talking about and describing Panerai. I was never a big
fan of Panerai but the Due collection sang to me and I bought one cream dial blue bracelet? Oh and if you love coffee try the BARRIE HOUSE BRAND roasted fresh evy day in Our roasting plant in New York.👍
Panerai *did* have a spell of being the "in" watch - back in 2005 I couldn't get any discount on my Pam 005, unlike my Rolex Sub, which I got 5% off without even asking. How things have changed 😂
Haha. That sounds crazy. I doubt it, but I hope one day it returns to that. 👍🏻
Absolutely love them, can’t afford one just yet, but one day, you can tell a Panarai as it’s different, love it. Thanks Adrian
The quality of your videos continues to improve.... it's an amazing job! Love the style...
What I love about Panerai? the unbusy clean dial, but the size is absurd 😉
Did you try seven Friday watches?
They do not wear that huge though. I didn’t like Panerai until I tried one on and here I am now having two in my collection.
My first proper watch was a Pam111. Still have it and love it.
"Spending all day flicking this thing back and forth" 😂
🤣 I hadn’t noticed that.
I own a PAM01312 and sometimes all I can do is flip that lock on the crown. It’s so satisfying. An incredible design feature
I would tread carefully around doing something that looks like a review of a product while simultaneously trying to sell it...really really really not a fan of this. Love the review, love that your getting sponsors...maybe structure the video slightly differently next time.
Got the PAM1104 and I’m in love with it! Thanks for the video!
Really like the Pam. Just can’t make the jump to buy.
I can think of other watches I would want to spend my hard earned money in, or half the money shall I say.....
as a Paneristi how do you feel about Panerai lying about their movements for the 2nd time ?
@@michaelbishop9157 pretty disgusting TBH. I have stopped buying Pams a few years ago.
@@philwongnz I have 2 older base models that I love but can't bring myself to support the brand these days
Cheers
Great video! I love the PAM01314, love the white dial. I love the originality of Panerai, love the font on the dial, love all of it.
Looking forward to this.
That 38mm is truly gorgeous! Especially a nice option for people with smaller wrists to pick up a Panerai model.
There are a lot of other brands I’d rather buy than panerai at this price point….tudor, omega, grand seiko, etc.
I’d take Panerai over any of those
Thank you for making a modern pam video, been waiting for a solid one 👏🏼
Isn’t Panerai claiming a new in-house movement in their new chronograph but it’s really an ETA movement?
Yeah, unfortunately all of this had been recorded before that all came out. Panerai have a history of doing "funny" stuff.
@@BarkandJack thats why the brand suffered
I seem to recall a few years ago they slapped an unfinished lower end Unitas movement in a limited edition run of watches. Not a brand I’d be able to trust.
Just got my first Panerai. Very underrated they are amazing quality and do what they do well. They also hold value very well as long as you buy it preowend there is always a market for them as they have a cult following.
I always see Arnold wearing these in pictures and think, this guy gets it. Nothing too flashy, just a big legible watch. I’m a fan
Thank you.
Bark and Jack you could easily wear the 47mms. I cannot say the same of my tiny wrist. But IMO the best models are in 47, the PAM 663, 422, 372.
NBA players, NFL linemen, that kinda folk are about the only people who can easily wear a 47mm watch. That's comically large.
