    You're right man. Yamaha's are the best bikes. Period! Keeping a beautiful Italian motorcycle full of problems is like dating a model that is crazy and showed all the red flags since the beginning.

    Interesting to hear your first impressions on the new bike. Sorting out the suspension is maybe the best bang for your buck customization on this bike.
    And yeah, I hate those bumpy NYC highways with a passion...

    My absolute favorite part of this video is when you say 'upgraded to a Yamaha' from a Ducati, it really is true. There's a reason why the XR is so culty.

    Hi Bud, I feel you man, exactly my story, used to drive a heavily modded 2005 Ducati S2R 800 it was beautiful, but started go give me issues, nothing crazy but it became expensive, it also started stalling on traffic light for no reason and I wanted something more reliable, perhaps it was also b/c the bike was 15 years old, and it was normal, I sold it, bought 2 bikes XSR 700 & XSR 900, and I am the happiest motorcyclist in the world. Both are amazing, never regretted my decision for a second.

      Hi, I own the xsr 700 and also the 900. Now the xsr 900 has reached 25000 km and 3 years (the xsr 700 has much less km) and I was thinking about changing it to monster 821 (now on offer), do you think that's not a good thing to do?

    Yamaha is the most reliable and easy to own bike in the industry... My previous bike was a Beamer and it pales in comparison to my XSR900 in terms of reliability, cost of ownership, comfort, smoothness and legal/street fun. I’m loving the XSR900 and I hope you do to...

    Best Bike XSR 900(Once you are buying 400cc up is were you secretly look for the grunt and power of the motor, no reason to say its over powered) Worth every penny you spend 👌

    Get the last aircooled monster i.e. Monster 796 / 1100. They seem to be far more reliable than newer watercooled ducati and much less hassle without the need to deal with watercooler. I have seen very high mileage Monster 796/1100 without much issue and still running very well with proper maintenance. More importantly aircooled Ducati sounds way better than watercooled Ducati imho.

  • @artan9797
    @artan9797 2 роки тому

    Hi buddy! i know your issue! The problem your bike had, is the fuel air bad mixture. this is caused by the air bypass on the throttle bodies( they tend to be blocked by bad fuel and dust over milage). it needs only a carbureteur spray cleaner! and than throttle body sync! on 2V Ducs you can feel it more stalling.... but on your yamaha you will feel it after 2-3years the rpms waving in the idle same issue (needs throttle bodies cleaning and sync). You had a hummer H1 and you went with a prius...as a Ducati fan....i dont like your decision...but at the end, you are right. as the duc maintenance is high and the old S2R has not any electronic aids, you did the right thing!

    Hey! Brooklyn XSR900 owner here, and yea I would recommend a flash. I have the VCycleNut and it's pretty smooth, although at very low speeds (5-10mph in traffic) I get a bit of jerky motion on/off clutch. Maybe I need to tighten my chain...

    • @DJMotoVlogs

    Im trying to decide between the XSR 900 and and XSR 700/ I havent ridden in a while and am just getting back in the saddle after about 20 years. Most people are telling me the 700 is plenty and the 900 has _too much power_ _Its more fun to max out a slower bike than have one that is too fast and you need to ride slower,_ etc. -This kind of thing. but it a slightly better suspension and 3 riding modes. Do you find it's jerky at all? I live in NYC. Tx! Sounds great. Nice find.

    • @DJMotoVlogs
      @DJMotoVlogs  3 роки тому +1

      My bike has an ECU flash so the throttle is not that jerky but even stock the bike has modes. You can put it in B mode and ride for few months until you get used to riding and the power. I would go for the 900.

    The best part about owning a Ducati is...
    When you get tired of fixing it, some dumb shit with more dollars than sense will buy it.
