- The January 2024 Online Corral has just concluded and i take a look to see how it wenr. Ive been especially curious about the 3 curly mustangs in this auction! The online corral is one of the ways you can adopt a wild mustang. Adopters must meet adoption requirements and be approved by the Bureau of Land Management. But adopting isn't something you should take lightly. Check out the following videos:

That last horse was stunning. The color was gorgeous and, like you, what nice strong really is appealing I love that so many of them were on the taller end.
I actually submitted an application after I went to my first Mustang auction in Massachusetts. I live in the Hudson Highlands area of NY and most of the in person auctions are too far away for me to travel. The BLM came back to Springfield the following year. I thought that it might have become an annual event. I had my eye on a really cute, stocky little yearling. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to bid because my Ramm fencing wasn’t approved. Since we had just built our barn, I certainly couldn’t afford to redo it to meet the requirements. I’ve had to stick to the online auction for my Mustang fix ever since! Have fun in Texas!!! 😊❤

@@TheProjectEquestrian grrr. Sorry to hear it. Yes here in DC area is a snowy icy mess today. We are of course not equips as Nee England states are. Plus people don’t know how to drive in it so things grind to a halt mostly.
@@Groundedsquirrel hah! Yea, that’s where my connection flight was suppose to be and why it got canceled 😅 I got no sleep last night trying to figure it out. I managed to get another flight later today, but it looks up in the air with the weather
And yea, people scare me! I’m confident driving in snow and ice, but only on my backroads when no other vehicles are around😂 I’d never drive in snow if I was in the city

I think it depends on how tight the curls are!

Beautiful mustangs all of them. I wonder why the Sand Springs tend to be bigger, maybe something in the OR environment. As I wrote before, I love that black beauty. So do the curlies get higher bids for being somewhat unusual?👩🏼🦱💕🐴
Yea, the curlies are definitely special because of their uniqueness! They are know for their wonderful temperaments as well

Like big horses that were turned loose, strayed or stolen by stallions. It's never been a closed gene pool.

Those poor terrified horses, just commodities, not treated like the sentient creatures they are. So sorry for them.
What? They’re being adopted? They are in these pens because they are feral or completely born wild which means they aren’t used to people and cannot be handled using a halter and rope.
