I went to a blm auction back in the early 90's in Apache Junction Az. The donkeys were all being sold for 10 to 20 dollars a peice. I went to just observe as I was already at my zoning limit with 2 horses at my place. There was a donkey up for adoption who had lost its ears to frostbite that just broke my heart. I left miserable and I've never forgotten that beautiful donkey.
There was a 32 year old donkey, looked like an old man. We fell in love with him and we wanted him to live out his best life here in the ranch. Everyone was bidding so high in them we couldn’t go as high. I hope he is doing well and is spoiled;) thanks for sharing;)
The mustangs are beautiful. I would have been having a bid on the grey, in the pen before you fussed the lovely chestnut. However getting a horse from the wild, well you got to invest. Time, Food, Farrier, medication(worming),vet care. You have to be prepared to start this all on an unhandled animal. Thanks for sharing your story but people need to understand, that there is no cheap way of buying a horse.
Well...was rooting for you guys...at least all of them have homes. When it is meant to be you will have one. Thanks for taking us along...have a wonderful day and blessings 💞👍🤗
Im in uk - wish we could take couple to give good home but sadly the transport costs would be inhibitive & ofcourse these are wild babies so not able to travel safely by plane anyway but it is such a shame as so many more could escape these facilities if it was an option to knowledgable homes. Thankyou to anyone who gets these horses & burrows providing the homes their going to are commited & know enough for training these are not domesticated they are wild & need skilled hands for success .
Because the UK is rabies free, I doubt these animals who have never been vaccinated would be allowed in. Even animals that have been vaccinated against rabies for years have trouble getting into the UK if their paperwork is off. The animal would likely have a long quarantine period and that might be stressful for a wild animal.
Sometimes it's better to do a IA where we got two of our Mustangs from paid $185.00 for my Grulla mare and paid $300.00 for my husband's Gelding. Then we got a bay roan Filly for $125.00 and a wild Burro for $125.00. We just got a Sales Authority 12yr old Gelding for $25.00. You just have to know where to look for them and when. We are doing a Tip Challenge this year on MI. We can't wait. Thank you for sharing. God Bless.
Hi from Germany. We have people buying Mustang and flying them to Europe for training. Some stay with their trainers for ever and others are auctioned after the training reaching prices up to 32.000€.Me too, I would like to get one.
Thank you everyone for adopting these beautiful animals. BMP and the government want to wipe them of the face of the earth. They are an endanger from all these roundups
You got my subscription just because of the auction thanks for posting this video I highly enjoyed it and hope to go to an auction soon. To get a wild burro
I would love to adopt a mustang but the long drive to where they are auctioned is stopping me. I'm in New Hampshire.😞 I've wanted to adopt a mustang since I was 8 years old. Sturdy, beautiful, iconic horses.🐴
That’s so awesome!! As you see the burros auctioned for a lot of $ because you only need a 4.5 ft fence to adopt one. That makes it an easy set up for anyone. It is sad though, most people are only doing the burros for money;(
They are wild and if you are inexperienced you should adopt the younger horses. I stay in prayer for the horses. They are ripped from their range, separated from their herd and placed in the hands of idiots.
Pamila . I don't like to see them taken from the range . But there is more money I. Cattle and sheep grazing than wild horses and wild life . The horses get the short end of the stick I agree. But they don't care what you and me think . The will always be rounded up by blm . It's. Better if they can find a home instead of the holding pens. We can't blame the rancher for it all , it is how they make there living out there . If I had followed the path that I wish I did I would be a rancher out west also . I love the life . I am in ark and raise a bunch of goats . When I get more land I will get a few to have .
@@robertmoore1123 it costs more to round up, provide vet/farrier care and feed the removed horses than the blm gets from grazing contracts. The horses are not removed to make money.

I went to a wild horse round up in Montana about 20 years ago. There are some absolutely beautiful horses available that need a lot of love and understanding. I believe the "Hidalgo" herd is an Oklahoma. ♡ Auctions are fun
There all so beautiful. I felt so bad for that last horse. He looked so scared. Hopefully next time you and Preston will be able to get a donkey. This was interesting seeing how a auction works. God Bless
We are actually the adopters of the bay horse that was loaded up. He has settled in nicely. And is quite friendly. We are planning on training him and showing people that they are just horses like any other. Not the bad rep they get.
Try going to the regular horse auction in your area, phone them the night before the auction to see if any donkeys are listed. Down side is they may not know what is being brought in to be sold.
