  • Earth is our home and our home is our responsibility. Today, we are posed with a question of whether to revamp our planet to a better home or consider a shift to our second home- Mars, the next most mimicking planet, all in the name of protecting the human race and planet Earth. Watch Thendral as she navigates through this and more thought-provoking questions while working towards fulfilling her dream to become the first Indian woman on Mars.
Age is never a barrier when it comes to pursuing big dreams. 17-year-old
Thendral Kamal is living proof of that statement as she aspires to become
the first Indian woman to step foot on Mars.
Her journey to the Red Planet kicked off after she won a once-in-a-lifetime
opportunity, sponsored by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre, to
experience and test her scientific experiment in zero gravity.
Thendral, being a Student Space Ambassador for The Mars Generation
strongly believes in the importance of science communication through the
power of the spoken word, advocating for children to pursue careers in STEM. She is also a regular volunteer at the Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences and Technology.
An enthusiastic presenter, she hopes to inspire you with a story of
inspiration, passion and reaching for the stars. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Not gonna lie, but this is certainly of the best Ted talks I have ever seen ! Not because I know Thendral personally but actually because of her content, and how she has convinced me as well to support the Mars mission, despite the repercussions we face today in terms of the resources. Kudos to Thendral for being such a great speaker and being able to share such an important thought in a beautiful way.

yes. because billionaires always follow through with the promises they make about saving the planet. feeding the hungry. and curing diseases, Especially while honoring equality, justice for ALL beings, and considering those with lesser means.....
