The song is basically about being yourself And not to listen to other people, many of whom talk without having a clue what they are talking about.
Eurovision is like ... the Olympics for music. or the Eurocup. It's a competition between countries in Europe, and some (like Australia or Israel, outside of it) who each send one original song. There's two semi finals, Each of which send about ten songs to the Grand finale, along with five automatic entries (mostly the countries that spend the most money on the event ;-) , and the host country)
It's very diverse in regards to entries, from pop to balads, to techno, to rock, to Ethnic music, to...
It's also loads of fun, and this year the quality of the songs was overall pretty damn good.

Eurovision is a very fun music contest held each year in europe. Each country put forward an act and they get scire half by a panel of experts and half by public vote- but you are not allowed to vote for your own country. It's known for a mix of good performances, odd performances, and completely out there staging. Somewhere on youtube there are compilations of the scores and the drama of it all being announced, but if you get the chance to sit and watch a full eurovision show ever do because you will have a lot of fun. Måneskin winning was somewhat unexpected because Italy hasn't won for a while, it's rock (eurovision tends to be mostly pop) and it wasn't in English (in fact none of the top 3 were, and there tends to be a little bit of bias towards English language performances).
They're a fantastic band and still so young. Their two most recent music videos are in English- Mammamia and I Wanna Be Your Slave. And yes they did do the Beggin' cover. It's actually a cover they did on Italian XFactor four years ago when they were aged 16-18 that blew up when tiktok found it post-Eurovision.
It sounds amazing! We’d love to check out the Eurovision but for some reason we can’t watch the lives it’s blocked in the US 😞🥺
First reaction is usually OK.. Second reaction you will start be a bit emotional third you will start sweeting and feeling your heart accelerating and then after that you will feel mad in love for them forever 🖤
You know what’s interesting that’s a really good representation of how reaction videos work. At first we don’t know what we are getting ourselves into lol. You never know what you’re going to be listening to or watching. In this case we were intrigued. We enjoyed very part of the band but can’t wait to see more now that we know what they sound like. 😬🖤

The live shows of Eurovision are absolutely insane! The participants go all out on one single song and the production and staging is crazy. I would recommend checking out Go_a - Shum, Barbara Pravi - Voila and Gjon's Tears - Tour l'univers. Maneskins performances was also amazing and if you want to see some more classic Eurovision, Dadi Freyr - 10 years. Those were all top 5 from this years Eurovision. I think they're unavailable to watch in the US tho so you might need a VPN.

These guys started playing together in 2015, in school. Played on the streets of Rome and then competed in Italy's X Factor in 2017, where they first played their cover of Beggin'. Their original music is really awesome and their lyrics are fantastic!
