Yes, indeed he was a legendary actor and a good man. His daughter has already begun following in her father's footsteps. I recall her in Knight Rider 2008 Sydney Tamiia Poitier alongside Yancy Arias, Bruce Davidson, Deano Russo and Justin Bruening. Poitier starred in many great movies and in The Jackal with Willis and Gere. RIP Sydney Poitier.
Underrated flick. This movie came out during 12 monkeys, the fifth element & Armageddon....so people don’t remember it. But it’s actually an ok movie, and Richard Gere is great
@@heffgar4631 Armageddon was in 1998 and 12 Monkeys was in 1995. The only movie that overshadowed this one was Fifth Element and the over hyped movie known as Batman and Robin.
The jackal is one of my favourite movie and movie is unfairly panned by critics . The soundtrack of the movie is quite catchy and entraining, Bruce Willis performance is quite powerful and highlight of the movies, I am glad that movie is box office success and till to this day I enjoy the movie. The gun from the movie is high light of the movie.
@@KB-sv7fmso true, The Day of the Jackal is an amazing show film also. Edward Fox does an amazing job as Charles Calthrop (aka The Jackal). I love that films building up of intensity as he prepares.
I haven't seen this trailer since I was a little kid in '97. I've never even seen the movie. For some reason the voice of the commentator saying "The Jackal" has rang in my head for 26 years. Today I randomly searched for this trailer, and the narrator guy saying "The Jackal" sounds exactly like I remember. So funny.
If I did I would come close to how the book itself was done and make sure it felt like a mix of this one and the original. Just more intense if I had to.
I loved the villain. I know, I know. I hate villains when they are conceited, stack up, spoiled pants, but when they are smart, creative multifaceted, and self sufficient.
Deck shoes shorts and a polo. Khakis and light windbreaker. Blue blazer and the pink polo when he buys the yacht. Loose dad jeans and white soled Sperrys. The clothes I wear to this day were Willis’ when he plans to shoot the First Lady.
Another Bruce Willis classic 👌 Don't have the movie but, I do have the book by writer and RAF vet Frederick Forsyth. It is a a good read, the book I mean haven't seen the movie.
Can anyone help me there was this movie I watched while ago I know I remembered it right, it was a movie about a guy who made a Contraption to cross the border, and the Border was just like a painted line and it went through houses, and he flew over it, but thats all i remember, does anyone know this movie
This is a comedy, right? Bruce Willis as a stoic costume wearing hitman, Richard gere with an Irish accent, acting as though it’s SNL and of course jack black as an arms dealer. Even nick cage couldn’t make up a more ridiculous scenario. And of course the Russians are the enemy. Why not? It has 90s written all over it.
Not exactly. Russian mafia boss hires a probably American killer to execute an American FL, but Americans get help from heroic Russian agent to stop him
halfway through this tedious movie, so far the best part is when Lamont gets blown up. Perhaps the most annoying thing about the movie is that it seems like the feds are watching the movie during the Bruce Willis scenes. (they magically know everything) They made a whole script about a ticking clock out of something should have been done and over with in the first 15 minutes, to create a little more investment than the demise of a bad guy character nobody cares about. Who cares about the director of a random unelected 3 letter agency? How is that supposed to inspire sympathy? phew. inb4 "get a grip guy, it's just a movie." most unsatisfying ending ever. "just throw some A list actors in it" seems to have been the plan.
RIP Sidney Poitier (February 20, 1927 - January 6, 2022), aged 94
You will be remembered as a legend
Gere is dead too now
Brilliant actor. He will be well missed.
Call him MISTER Poitier!
Bruce Willis finding more and more ways to look like Bruce Willis.
this comment is so underrated!!! i was laughing outloud 🤣🤣🤣
you're so right! his disguises always still looks like him!
😂🤣😂🤣🥸
It's like one scene he made his hair blonde then the next like not blonde. It's like holy cow you'd never recognize the guy ever.
And more and more ways to play the same character.
And more and more ways to play the same character.
One of my favourite Bruce Willis movies
Rest in peace Sidney Poitier , such a legendary actor over the years (1927 - 2022)
Wow I didn't know he was nearly or at 70 years old when this movie came out. I would have easily mistaken him for being 50.
Yes, indeed he was a legendary actor and a good man.

RIP Sydney Poitier.
Bruce Willis from action hero character turns to bad guy vs. Richard Gerne from sweet guy turns to action hero. Nice film great polt and cast.
Ah the good old times when people didn't complain about seeing the entire plot in the trailer. Because the movie is good regardless.
The movie sucks and it’s more nostalgia. Watch the 1973 one instead
The whole plot is known from the name of the movie
Underrated flick. This movie came out during 12 monkeys, the fifth element & Armageddon....so people don’t remember it. But it’s actually an ok movie, and Richard Gere is great
I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!
Armageddon was in 1999
richard gere is always great; i really like bruce willis too; sorry he is ill; and rip sidney poitier;
But I can say atleast it was than better overrated Armageddon

I'm surprised you didn't recognize the trailer voice as Optimus Prime.
This movie is my guilty pleasure!
bruce willis' best role. he should have played bad guy much more.
haven't you've seen RED? or Death Wish? way better.
It wouldn't really surprise me if they made a third version of this movie in the coming years.
Such a brilliant storyline.
If I did I would come close to how the book itself was done and make sure it felt like a mix of this one and the original. Just more intense if I had to.
This version sucked compared to the Edward Fox version.
They're doing a limited series (to stream on Peacock) starring Eddie Redmayne. Coming out in 2024; not holding my breath
This movie is a masterpiece it's me and my late mom's favorites
Who came to this after watching jack black get his arm shot off
Me :)
me
Yup
Yeah lol
right here!
Solid action film, i found it in my late father's film collection. Interesting to see Bruce Willis disguised like other action movie stars.
When bruce willis .... even with 2 dozen disguises ... always looked like .... bruce willis ! 😁😁😂😂😂
Today marks 25 years since it's theatrical release!! I was only in 7th grade. Amazing
I was in 7th grade too 😅 watching it for the first time now
@@LoveLeigh313 You're not alone. I still have a lot of catching up to do on a lot of movies myself.😀
Bruce Willis great I hope he gets well soon; Richard Gere good acting as he was in officer and gentleman; Sidney Poitier RIP great espionage movie

I remembered this movie when I was grade 4 i miss it :)
R.I.P. Sidney Poitier
I miss this kind of movies
What's so interesting of the film is that it features a very young jack black
UM DOS MELHORES FILMES DE BRUCE WILLIS!
Great movie
Forget any negative review….. this was such a good movie that deserved better recognition! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It's die hard if Bruce Willis was the villan
Best movie ever of Bruce Willis!!
chérif Aly watch the original The Day of the Jackal and you’ll see this movie is just a fraction of it
Who else is here because of the Peacock remake?
Deck shoes shorts and a polo. Khakis and light windbreaker. Blue blazer and the pink polo when he buys the yacht. Loose dad jeans and white soled Sperrys. The clothes I wear to this day were Willis’ when he plans to shoot the First Lady.
Saw that movie partly on TV channel when I was a kid and internet, free downloading and UA-cam stuffs ain't popular in the past.
i was young when this came out.. sucks to be old
One of the few remakes that are good.
GREAT 1997 BRUCE WILLIS JACKAL TRAILER !!!
i love this movie !
Another Bruce Willis classic 👌 Don't have the movie but, I do have the book by writer and RAF vet Frederick Forsyth. It is a a good read, the book I mean haven't seen the movie.
maan I miss the 90s trailer voice over
Can’t believe we used to watch movies in standard definition…anyway RIP Mr. Tibbs
🔥Bruce Willis 🔥
The Jackal
One of my favourite movie......
Good film. Amazing acting by Richard Gere
Can anyone identify the music in the trailer and what OST comes from which film?
Can anyone help me there was this movie I watched while ago I know I remembered it right, it was a movie about a guy who made a Contraption to cross the border, and the Border was just like a painted line and it went through houses, and he flew over it, but thats all i remember, does anyone know this movie
Old Jackal : I ma shoot a melon with a handgun.
New Jackal : MY MACHINECANON GOES BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
This was a great movie
Great movie, so much better than the original...
0:12 and 0:28 Jackal(Bruce Willis)is look alike Steven Seagal in 2014-Present.
I thought the same thing...but Bruce looks better than the kung fu panda anyway!
You Mean Jack Black who played In Kung Fu Panda huh?
Brilliant movie.
I love this movie
This doesn't come up on Google when you type hitman movies it's actually pretty decent
Sidney Poitier RIP To The Late Great
Imagine the ego war in the set between Bruce and Gere 😅
Eduardo bsn Bruce is nothing compared to Richard
Bruce Willis can Portray Logan Wolverine
Good film. They should have just gone all the way and had Bruce WIllis win. That would have made it a great film.
I dont remember him cutting eyebrows out, was this cut from the film 0.51
Excellent movie 🔥
Back when you could just light a cigarette in front of a kid in a movie
😂😂😂
Is there a link where I can watch this movie for free
The music in the trailer is from the chase scene in primal fear
I have got to watch this movie
Who else is here after watching the trailer for the new one?
They gave away the whole damn movie. What's left?
Not Jack Black
The entire ending credits? Bloopers? The commercials in between?

Worse.. "Is 240p a HD now?"
Jack Black was wacked before he was Jack Black and now nobody knows who Jack Black is haha
I'm the jackal..
looks great
Shame, such a shame. I think I kinda lost myself again. (Why not write a dumb comment, like once upon a crime thing, whatever.)
HD? lol
I saw this before lost world Jurassic park in 1997
How the Hell is Jack Black in this movie?! Now tell me this ain't some nepotism or cronyism behind his success in hollywood
Loosely based on Frederick Forsyth's novel, although he was given no credit. Watch the original Day Of The Jackal, a far better movie.
Achille Lauro, I suppose I will remain La Bestia, we are like Basks, we do not forgive and do not forget
É Brasil cupade! Nós tá em todo lugaaar
Definitely not Bruce Willis’s best
Anyone notice the Space girl is in this movie?
Good Movie but only thanks to Bruce W. What! Richard G. against Bruce! Halo.... 🙂
should I have been watching this movie when I was 10?
A typical popcorn movie from the late 90s.
It's so boring to watch now.
guuac esta pelicula apesta que churrazo la version de los 70 con edward fox si es una obra maestra
The film was by no means great...but the Jack Black scene was absolutely golden.
"Man...YOU rock! RRROCK
Told you it was off.
The jack black scene was very chilling to be honest
This movie is trash. The 1973 movie is a classic.
Saw a UA-cam short and came here just for that awful mustache on Bruce 🤣
Muito bom esse filme
se ve buena, ya mismo la descargo por utorrent.
