They're gone now but they were at least 10 feet from the house except where the angled section of the house is. We didn't want to risk damage to the house if we got a freak wind storm. Well probably go with a good hard covered gazebo next time for use more of the year and in rain.
They did pretty good for the Summer. Only one timber warped, but all the brackets bent. They would have held up better if we had more cross braces. We took them down to start from scratch. We're doing research now on a better solution for the size of our patio we have.
Did the concrete hold up? Was there any cracking?
No cracking but we had our slab poured with 5,000 psi mix to support our 1,500 gallon swim spa. Not sure how other mixes will hold up.
