My absolute favourite steak when I was young was a seared sirloin that was then cooked in the oven on a bed of onions and also topped with onion and covered in foil, cooked for about 20 minutes on a high heat and it was just delicious. Probably not the best way to cook a sirloin but for me it was just a tasty, lovely, moist, succulent, tender and easy meal that was "put in a pan to sear it, then pop in an oven tray and forget it for 20 minutes" and you got what to 12 year old me was the best steak imaginable.
I'm a boomer and remember when SIRLOIN was a tasty, mostly tender steak that middle class folks could enjoy. Sirloin can be good, but not as easily as it was. I'm STILL going to get steak though. LOL

Duudde i made my first steak from this video and it came out juicy, and bursting with flavor. I followed instructions on preparing it but used this video as a beginning template and added my own seasonings and I'm 100% happy with the outcome. Thank you so much for this it's very easy and simple to follow. @@jamesrowan.g8667 yes! I used my air fryer too- and I will say that it will cook perfectly in there. I set my air fryer to 350° and put my steak in there for 30 minutes and flipped it at the 15 minute halfway mark. It came out medium rare 😊 warning though- I used a fat steak that was like a pound of meat so take that into consideration. You could burn your steak if you put the wrong settings for it's size ❤️
Thanks, I cooked steak for my first time ever and used this method. I followed the steps and it seemed like the process was quicker than expected. After I finished I cut the steak for my first bite and saw some clear "jelly" looking stuff where I cut and I got paranoid it wasn't fully cooked, so I threw it back on the stove top for another 5 minutes and it was more well done afterward (which I like). Come to find out what I saw and thought was uncooked meat was more than likely just fat. Anyways, in the end I made a pretty tasty steak and the process was much quicker than I would have thought. Thanks for the help!
I have been using this recipe of hers for a year now. I was very skeptical when I decided to try it but wow it came out juicy and mouth watering delicious. I have been cooking from scratch since I was 14 years old and I just turned 67. This is by far the best steaks I have ever cooked. My boyfriend was quite impressed. This really worked! I have been burning steak for years and had no idea what in the world I was doing wrong. My daughter inhaled hers tonight at dinner! I didn’t need to ask if she liked it because she ate it so fast! Thank you!
Thank you for being so detailed and keeping it short. I watched at least 4 of these videos and there's always some detail that's missing, like the heat of the pan or the part about rendering the fat. Thanks!
This video was absolutely amazing! I can not emphasize enough how quick and to the point this video is! There is no need for a 15 minute video on how to cook a steak. Some of these other channels need to learn how to “cut the fat” off of their cooking videos and do away with needless explanations. Well done and keep them coming💯🥳
Really great job of showing step by step directions. Going into the kitchen now that the steaks have been out at room temperature for 30 minutes. So glad not to have to beat the steaks anymore:)
Finally cooked steak for my kids last night and they approved. Recipe is simple although I wish I used more seasoning her measurments weren't enough 😅.
you can also butter baste the steak towards the end by adding butter, smashed garlic and thyme sprigs to the pan and simply spooning over the steak. Either way your finished steaks looked perfect. Great job.
With company coming, I was worry about cooking the steaks without a grill. I followed your recipe to the tea and the steaks were amazing. So tender with just the perfect flavor and taste. Thank you.
