You guys are hilarious I love it. Such a great couple. Lo mejor de lo mejor con ambos que me parece super bien todos los videos que son bien bakanos total....uuufff que rico la playa en PV....Yeah Mexico is a good medium with english/colombian ambiance. Continued success on your travels. I'm making a trip there myself in May of 2026 more or less. Take care guys, love your content.
@@lifetheorycouple I will absolutely do that, take care guys and look forward to your next video. Sending regards from Santiago Chile which I saw your video when you guys were here as a guide on places to visit. In 10 days I go over the Andes Mountains over to Mendoza Argentina. So Excited, can't wait.
Johnny’s Spanish 😂. I am the American in our relationship and I feel your pain Johnny with pronunciation!! I like to tease my husband (the Colombian) and place the emphasis in words in the wrong place or use an Italian accent just to get him annoyed 😂. I know this sounds a little nuts but I orient myself around Costco here in the states, maybe because I used to work there. But the fact that there is a Costco there says a lot about stability & safety. Btw I know people who build Costcos and they said Colombia is slated to have Costco warehouses built there.
@@lifetheorycouple I stayed in Monterrey a couple years back and they had one there but don't know how far south of the border they have them. I'm from San Antonio which is the HUB for H.E.B. but I also lived in Dallas-Ft Worth area for a bit.
THIS IS SOOOOO GREAT! --- Chile and Mexico are so different. We cannot truly compare the two. Chile has a better hiking culture, if you like hiking. Mexico food, is much better than Chilean food, but the food is so different. Then Chile has Patagonia, wheres Mexico has not geography like it... Where are you going in Chile?
That’s awesome! We hope you like Santiago. If you have a chance to go to a Santiago Speaks event, you can connect with some locals that are going to probably share with you lots of hidden gems! You can find their schedule on their instagram page @SantiagoSpeaks
If there's a coastal location in Latin American with great beaches and a more temperate climate, I'm sure not aware of it. Seems like you have to deal with somewhat extreme heat anywhere you might choose, though it doesn't seem Puerto Vallarta gets quite as extreme as the Riviera Maya where in July and August it's all but intolerable. Perhaps Rio de Janeiro comes the closest to being ideal climate-wise, as it's only really hot in the summer months of December - February.
Thank you for those recommendations! --- Overall, as you are aware, we are choosing to bounce from city to city discovering more and more what we like and dislike. When it comes to weather, we really like Mexico City this time of year, which is where we are currently. It gets just a little warm mid-day then cools off at night. We don't know if we could truly live by the ocean in the long run, because most approachable places by the ocean are just hot. We tend to enjoy mountainous areas more... Anywho... If we run into a city with more cities comparable to Puerto Vallarta, we'll let you know... Hand down though... THE FOOD is incredible... Wait until next week's video to see all the dishes we tried and loved.
How does the safety compare in Colombia in cities of roughly the same size as puerto Vallarta to puerto vallarta? Like say in Manizales or Bucaramanga? Or what about larger cities like when comparing Medellin to Guadalajara for example?
In our opinion and experience. We must say, PV felt more safe than all the cities mentioned here. --- Except for Guadalajara, we've never spent time there, so we have no opinion.
@@lifetheorycouple I've never been to Santa Marta so that doesn't help much. I've been to Cartagena and didn't like it much through. I know people say it's one of the safest cities in Colombia but the way you get hounded there to buy things, and the amount of scams that go on there is next level. Manizales is an amazing city though. If Puerto Vallarta is safer than Manizales I'm sure it's a great place.
EXACTLY! - We loved the city for a our 2 week visit, but we think 1 week would be enough because the weather was just beating down on us. If you look closely at the video you can see how much we are sweating. And we recorded most of this before 10am in the morning.
There is an endless honesty to everything that you say! Keep it up!
Thank you! We’ll keep it coming. 😀
Another great vidja! Glad you guys are being so active that makes me happy!
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!

Gracias Rochelle! - We had no idea about the Costco in Colombia. Big changes, coming soon! The bad pronunciation will likely continue, lol
Is there an H.E.B. in PV? That would be the icing on the cake.
That's the next step for Mexico. I haven't run into any HEBs in the past 6 weeks we've been here. lol
