I came here to learn some Russian years ago and I stayed for the documentaries that we kept urging her to make thank you Miss Ellie you have gone above and beyond what we could have expected. Once again this channel should win an award I said this for years now. Let's go ☺️
Great work as usual! We viewers get to see parts of the world we know so little about. And you drinking tea during the sanitorium’s rave was priceless! 😄
You're my favorite travel channel. Why? Maybe the red hair and freckles. But for sure your intelligence and your ability to frame what you see in the most interesting and truthful form.
10:04 Sensitive, not sensible. Sensitive is what is delicate to feel or understand or discuss and might upset people. For example, that is a sensitive subject so I don't want to get into trouble bringing it up. Sensible is what makes sense as an idea or something to discuss. For instance, the sensible thing to do is not discuss corruption because it is a sensitive topic that might upset some people and get me thrown in jail. You could also say "Don't let the sheets of the bedding touch my foot because I dropped a big hammer on my foot so it is still sore and sensitive to the slightest touch or weight." Or, some people are sensitive to cold water and can't stand to go swimming in it. So the sensible thing for them to do is stay away and not freeze.
Btw, you are an inspiration to the people of your homeland. The vlogs presented by your kind self are the true vision, expression and beauty of your lifestyle. Truly a living gem and one of a kind indeed! ❤️🙏
young lady i just want to say your videos are very good. i enjoy them very much. you show places i would like to go but at my age it will never happen. you are so young and have a very interesting life. keep up the good work. a big fan from FLORIDA, USA.
That was so interesting Eli and its easy to tell from your reaction that the Bath was a totally unexpected pleasure, after you got in. I will try drinking tea with jam instead of sugar.
I suggest doing videos about food and culture of some countries like Morocco, China, France, Russia.... It would be great Series. Thank you. Great videos
9:00 One of the few places the United States that ever had a true collective farm system was in the Amana colonies of Iowa County, Iowa going back to the middle of the 1800's. It was based on religious refugees protesting the Protestants in Germany and chafing under the resultant oppression. This "Inspirationalist" group, acting like the Amish and Mennonites, migrated to the United States but found the first settlement in New York wasn't large enough. So they moved west and prospered in the wide open spaces of the Iowa frontier. They had a communal system of working and eating, and developed their own flour mill and wool mill. Religious idealism held them together for the better part of a century, but hard times and social modernization did them in. It wasn't leaders going corrupt, it was seeing modern towns and reading modern newspapers and hearing modern radio that created a sense of the outside world they wanted to know by motor car, and the economic stress of the Great Depression was the last straw toward dissolving the collective system. Traces of the old ways remain, with seven tourist towns specializing in craft work like furniture and custom wool garments, and restaurants based on the old communal dining system.
You have a very adventurous spirit Eli...I think that I would have personally skipped that oil bath myself...how did you even get that stuff off afterwards?😋
That looked fun! If you like spa resorts, the next time you visit Kazakhstan, there is Тау Дастархан - Комплекс Семейного Отдыха. It is near Almaty and is known for its many different international Banyas. A must visit on the road to Big Almaty Lake.
Greetings from Scotland! Thank you Eli - your videos are always informative and interesting! You take us places we may never get to see ourselves. Fascinating! ----- Привет из Шотландии! Спасибо тебе, Эли, - твои видео всегда информативны и интересны! Ты показываешь нам места, которые мы, возможно, никогда не увидим сами. Увлекательно!
12:42 Oil bath? Where are the no smoking signs? In the United States, this place would go up like a torch the first week. They don't even have a fire sprinkler system. This is even crazier than the movie "The Wheeler Dealers!" Azerbaijanis have a reputation to live long lives past a hundred years old, but breathing those fumes is probably not helping. Must be what they eat or the mountain air that gives them their longer life span.
Hey Eli! As always, a very interesting and exotic video. How do you get the oil off your body? A degreaser solution? lol thanks for sharing. I live vicariously through your adventures. Hugs and kisses from Minnesota😘
It is not the only one... There is also Naftlan resort in Croatia in Ivanic Grad... Yes, Naftalan is very rare type of oil, but it is not unique... There are very good results with patients suffering from psoriasis...
To add to the saying in the end, Traveling is living. Azerbaijan is on my list to visit. But first Russia. This year it will be Russia, three months of finding out if I can actually live among the beautiful Russian people. I mean live.... Get old.... Help further building the country, leaving my woke motherland behind and never look back.
Love watching Eli and her videos of different cultures of Russia....if I wasn't so old I would like to visit all the different people of Russia with Eli as my tour guide..
Eli, you are one of the very best travel vloggers on UA-cam. I really appreciate your interactions with the local people who show us what a good vibe you are. Big hug coming to you from Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. Thank you for all the hard work you do for us.
I love your channel but I especially love your travels through Russia and former Soviet states. It's really too bad people still know so little about this part of the world. Or maybe better for us!
Sounds like people with entitlements are illegally allowing outsiders into the system, for a fee. Kind of like Bobby Baker and Billie Sol Estes schemes with Lyndon Johnson.
I am very glad that you visited to Azerbaijan, I am from Turkey. But I fell Azerbaijan is my home, my life. Anyway we are same People, so it is normal. Yes, we have some differents, In any case, these differences make Azerbaijan feel like the place where I have to be.❤AZ❤️RU❤Türkiye

I had to Google the question "is it safe to immerse yourself in Azerbaijan motor oil?". I'm pretty sure the answer is NO. It's 50% naphthalene which is carcinogenic, but I guess doing it once isn't going to do any harm. I would love to be the guy who helped you remove that oil, though.
Russia was always on my bucket list to visit. Unfortunately, as an American, its no longer possible. I don't want to go to jail for some false charges. Sad

Very interesting, especially the oil bath.
How do you remove the oil from your skin?
@@edmundmiller70 🤣🤣🤣
How do you shower after the oil bath? Do you still feel/smell oil after the shower?? I was just wondering.
Great video... thank you ❤👍
Hey Eli! As always, a very interesting and exotic video. How do you get the oil off your body? A degreaser solution? lol thanks for sharing. I live vicariously through your adventures. Hugs and kisses from Minnesota😘
Yes, I also wanted to know how she got all that gunk off; it wouldn't wash off with water.
i love watching your videos eli
Thank you for your very real and unbias videos
I'm always following yours shows ❤❤❤
Lovely vlog as always Eli
I'm unsure of the oil bath seems very strange to me, what are the benefits from it?
It loosens joints and relaxes muscles. It is of tranquil value. I enjoy wax baths.
@edmundmiller70 thank you
It is not the only one... There is also Naftlan resort in Croatia in Ivanic Grad... Yes, Naftalan is very rare type of oil, but it is not unique... There are very good results with patients suffering from psoriasis...

I was going to say that. It looks a bit like Turkey in the start of the 1980's. They drink Raki ( aniseed spirits ) over there ?
Love you Elif
great video
Very interesting, Eli! Does your surname have a link to Baku?
Your almost at 1 millions subs!
It will happen this year.
Great video Eli but how did you get the oil off?
Duz does it.
I am from Egypt and I love you alot Eli
I have to ask. Is that oil toxic? ❤
It's probably no more toxic than any other skin product, many of which also commonly have an oil base. You're not supposed to drink it.
@@supernova808 they have chocolate bath next door.
Can you go to Bulgaria next? ❤😊
hello from Belgium

We call nafta to oil for cars in Argentina
Before or after bathing?
Is it rose hips jam or rose petal? What kind of tea is it? Black tea? I would love to try their way of drinking tea.
Waffles and cream cheese and black peppermint chocolate tea.
Considering the Turkish influence it might be attar of roses.
I love your channel but I especially love your travels through Russia and former Soviet states. It's really too bad people still know so little about this part of the world. Or maybe better for us!
Beautiful in Azerbaijan❤
