I wasn’t born in the 90s but based off from like some of my relatives I asked they said that racism wasn’t as huge as it was today however there were still many fragments of it but it was mostly in like Big urban cities where the racism was in smaller towns racism was basically nonexistent well at least most of them

I personally heard people, even as close as friends, drop the N bomb behind closed doors, and not at all in a matter of endearment. Some of them were folks who openly enjoyed black entertainers and athletes. This is me speaking as someone who graduated from high school in 2010, from a located school in a small-to-medium sized town. I don't want to seem all doom and gloom and like I have no sense of humor, or to disparage white people as a whole. But, there's a certain point when jokes are actually disrespect masked as a joke. Also, keep in mind that many of kids were raised by families that weren't very far removed from the era of openly segregated areas. Integrating schools didn't change things at the snap of a finger Again, not most, not a majority and certainly not all white folks, but it was definitely around
