  • In this vlog, we spend a full day in Seville, Spain (locally referred to as "Sevilla"), where we enjoy the unique parks and landscapes this place has to offer. It's a hot, sunny day so come with us as we find ways to cool down and stay hydrated throughout the day. We end off with an attempt to go shopping and have dinner at a restaurant that was SO good, we had to eat there twice in one day!

I lived in Sevilla for 2 1/2 years (over 40 years ago) and I go back as often as I can. The friends I made when I lived there are still as close as family. I would move there again if it weren't so hot in the summers. I visited last year, and it was 104 degrees in April.

We can understand your decision! The heat can definitely be unbearable at times but the warm hospitality and friendly people will keep you coming back 🙏🏼

They tried to build an underground metro when I lived there 40 years ago. They started digging under the Plaza Nueva, and it was destroying the historic buildings, so they stopped. Schools are different from ours in the US as they generally don't have the sports fields and playgrounds around them. This is changing, though, as Spain changes. Years ago absolutely everything shut down between 2 and 5 and you couldn't even buy water. The only place with AC and open in the afternoon was the Corte Inglés department store.

Wow, that was so informative! Thank you for explaining all of that, we appreciate it! There is definitely a fine balance between preserving historical structures while moving forward with the demands of the modern world.

Nice video but not showing much about Sevilla. You havent done research about siesta times, lunch and dinner times, posibility to book tickets early to skip lines to acces to sights and so on. You could have experienced more and avoid walking around on warmest hours.

Thanks for the feedback! We still had a great time but we will definitely know all of that and be more prepared for next time 👍🏼
