Freya...The Muslims (Moors) from north Africa were in Spain.. first conquest was the "Muslim Conquest of the Iberian Peninsula" in the 700s (they were there until the end of the 1400s). Seville was the Muslim capital. The Iberian Peninsula was called "Al-Andalus." There are many places with the Muslim heritage eg. Còrdoba has a beautiful mosque-cathedral. The christians just built the cathedral over the old mosque. I loved it there. Definitely one of my favourite Spanish cities. Also the Islamic "Alhambra" is stunning and worth a visit. Many cities and towns have the festival of "the Moors and Christians" to mark the conflict of 1276. They are amazing to watch. I watched one festival 20+yrs ago in southern Spain.

Oh Gosh love Seville…went for my 40th and 50th, as January birthday. The food is amazing and the tapas. Yes the place is very Moorish with the architecture. Good now there are more flights
We stayed just a couple of street from the Cathedral, ate in mostly the locals places over the river.. 🥰 🇪🇸

Love Seville, spent some time there when we had a place in Spain. Tapas is so good there and quite cheap compared to London where portions are small and expensive. Can't believe you had a Starbucks in Spain!!!! Their coffees are so good. Good to see Seville again.
Starbucks isn't just for the UK 🤣 I've had one when in Mexico, Romania and Paris so far 😁

We went there for a few days a couple of year’s ago and didn’t know it was Holy Week . You couldn’t move for people, I think all Spain were there

Impossible to see the city in 2-3 days.. actually there are lot of places you didnt visit. It has the second largest old city of Europe. And outside the old city there are also great places to see
I think it's hard to see any city or area in even one week. Some places you need at least three months to really get in all the sights😊 I think the idea is to just relax and enjoy what you can and not just tick off all places on a bucket list but rather enjoy and spend time in one area and soak that all in. I often find , that when you travel you dont always want to "travel" but rather just enjoy where you are.

I am looking at going now seeing how lovely the city is.A quick question were you able to leave luggage when you arrived before checking in and when you checked out. I have checked a couple of flights very early arrival and fight leave late. Would be grateful for any advise. ❤
