Along the Andes of Peru there are several valleys as Sacred Valley in Cusco, but with no the abundance of ruins as in Cusco. To name some of them Valle del Mantaro, Valle Sondondo , Corongo, Pallasca, Valle de Cajamarca, etc.
Amm good question....the sites are not that big..a few hour visit...so probably no need to stay over, unless of course you want a change of scenery hahah...I personally purely out of comfort preferred to go back to Cusco 😊
