I saw a demo of this game and the guy on the radio said "keep it down there are walkers everywhere" the player hits the reload button and the character yells "RELOADING!"
I hope they take that out I mean who does that in a zombie apocalypse I know it’s stupid to ask something small to be remove but sometimes small changes make a huge difference

The walking dead is such a complex universe. If they tried a little harder it could be the Star Wars or marvel of zombie universes. They have the potential to make amazing games and they somehow always pump out garbage.
The reason why OWD sucks is because of the deadline star breeze and overkill sets. Normal triple a games take years of planning, developing and play testing. But when OWD’s release date was announced, the game is barely in a concept state. Not to mention that the game went through two rework of game engine, one literally is just an interface when the developers receive it. By the time Starbreeze quote on quote “release the whole game”, OWD is just a half finished beta with countless amount of bugs and flaws that can simply be fixed if they had more time. When everyone is asking refunds, it was already too late, as both Starbreeze and Overkill spent tremendous amount of money into the half ass game engine they received and marketing, crippling future hot fixes and development completely. It was then that they realize they fucked up, and went back to payday 2 to make more terrible dlc for a glimpse of survival. Blame the company, not the game
They've been very miss and hit. The main show has been pretty damn consistent with a few lows. Telltale season 1 and 2 were awesome 3 sucked and 4 was fine. Fear TWD was pretty boring to me. And then Overkill was a complete flop. Saints and Sinners also did pretty well.
Imagine TWD, but society doesn't collapse, at least not everywhere, it could be interesting to see what nations do, hell, it would be an awesome opportunity to make something more complex than: good guys vs raiders.
They should've made a movie instead of a game It would have sold a lot more because a new Twd movie following a new group and exploring more of the world would've been cool

Even if they presented a trailer that wasn't as good as the one they released, the game would be a big success if they planned it out correctly. Presenting upcoming games in a big convention is a huge advertisement itself.

After seeing the trailer, many people thought that it would be an open world survival game based on TWD, after the game's release, people found out that it's only like CoD: Zombies, and that led to the game's demise. I hope a company picks up on the idea and makes an open world TWD survival game.

I was in the beta. This was one of the worst games I have ever played. Not only buggy as hell with graphics a good decade out of date but just flat out boring. They managed to make defending against hordes of undead dull.

It's not about the lack of strategic abilities or strength the zombies have, it's about how stupid humanity is. Relate it to COVID-19. Just one infected person is enough to spread it to dozens of others. Then each of those people can infect dozens more per. It's a chain reaction of stupid, until it becomes too overwhelming to stop. If zombies were real, you can rest assured people would 1) overestimate their own ability to stop a group of them, 2) be unwilling to kill the ones they know and end up turning themselves, 3) purposely infect themselves for any stupid reason, and most importantly 4) turn on each other from beginning to end.

Anyone with half a brain knows that its a marketing tool. It's not meant to be shown as final gameplay, it's not meant to be taken as what the game will be like. I like that we are finally at the point where its getting hard to tell actual irl footage from game footage. I know people said the same thing back at the PS2/PS3 era, but now its actually like that :) Makes one wonder what the games will look like in another 15-20 years.
You can actually pretty easily tell apart game graphics from real life. I do believe that Games will never look like real life as that is just a thing of impossibility. There will be smething wrong somewhere always. But it is impressive how good games look these days.

these is life ibrahim I think this cinematic is really well done!!!! It’s engaging, and shows the strengths and weaknesses of the characters, making them dynamic. It’d be super fun to watch them interact with each other and try to survive in a zombie apocalypse!

Imagine if they made this game into a 3rd person open world campaign about these characters backstories and eventually meeting up together to achieve their goals. With good graphics, good acting, good mechanics, and good writing. It would have been magical and could have had the chance to hold true to The Walking Dead name. Such a disappointment, I hope that some company will make a good Walking Dead game.
urafaget Oh no way man, I agree I don’t want another PS game that’s basically a movie (TLOU 2) but I basically mean that a walking dead game should have a developed story with well thought out gameplay mechanics. Something that walking dead fans would love. I think a survival, open world game that could even include choices that could direct the story and seriously impact the players surroundings could really be a great game.
I like how the scene with the shield guy was really realistic, everything completely bounced off him besides a shotgun. And he actually used the shield like a defense instead of just holding it then dying because he didn’t use it
The shots he took in the back were 9mm from an MP5, From that range his internal organs wouldve been turned into mush since the armor wasnt slanted and the bullets didnt ricochet off but bounced off. The shotgun pellets wouldnt have penetrated the thin sheet of metal either despite having double the Velocity of a 9mm. I just rewatched the scene turns out she shot off a piece of the armor and he managed to hit him directly into the small hole. The material also seems to be inconsistent, having properties from both an Aramid Mesh and Steel plates
WHOOOAH! the level of animation is AMAZING in this. the body movements of the characters is super impressive and the level of detail (eg fine facial hair and pores) is incredibe. kudos to the animation team. brilliant work.
to bad the game was utter garbage, they can make a huge and beautiful good shooter/RPG game base on TWD, but nooooooo, they all trying to go live service and milk the consumer.
If you actually knew about overkill and starbreeze you would know they have a history of doing this. Overspend on marketing and cinematics and actors not enough on gameplay

It's not about the lack of strategic abilities or strength the zombies have, it's about how stupid humanity is. Relate it to COVID-19. Just one infected person is enough to spread it to dozens of others. Then each of those people can infect dozens more per. It's a chain reaction of stupid, until it becomes too overwhelming to stop. If zombies were real, you can rest assured people would 1) overestimate their own ability to stop a group of them, 2) be unwilling to kill the ones they know and end up turning themselves, 3) purposely infect themselves for any stupid reason, and most importantly 4) turn on each other from beginning to end.
When that dude was talking to that zombie with no lower jaw I was like “damn if I was that zombie I would sit there and listen”

This one was really hyped at first because it was planned to take place in the same universe as the original comics. When the game finally released, though, it..wasn't very good.

You can actually pretty easily tell apart game graphics from real life. I do believe that Games will never look like real life as that is just a thing of impossibility. There will be smething wrong somewhere always. But it is impressive how good games look these days.

these is life ibrahim I think this cinematic is really well done!!!! It’s engaging, and shows the strengths and weaknesses of the characters, making them dynamic. It’d be super fun to watch them interact with each other and try to survive in a zombie apocalypse!

Imagine if they made this game into a 3rd person open world campaign about these characters backstories and eventually meeting up together to achieve their goals. With good graphics, good acting, good mechanics, and good writing. It would have been magical and could have had the chance to hold true to The Walking Dead name. Such a disappointment, I hope that some company will make a good Walking Dead game.

urafaget Oh no way man, I agree I don’t want another PS game that’s basically a movie (TLOU 2) but I basically mean that a walking dead game should have a developed story with well thought out gameplay mechanics. Something that walking dead fans would love. I think a survival, open world game that could even include choices that could direct the story and seriously impact the players surroundings could really be a great game.

I like how the scene with the shield guy was really realistic, everything completely bounced off him besides a shotgun. And he actually used the shield like a defense instead of just holding it then dying because he didn’t use it
The shots he took in the back were 9mm from an MP5, From that range his internal organs wouldve been turned into mush since the armor wasnt slanted and the bullets didnt ricochet off but bounced off. The shotgun pellets wouldnt have penetrated the thin sheet of metal either despite having double the Velocity of a 9mm.
I just rewatched the scene turns out she shot off a piece of the armor and he managed to hit him directly into the small hole.
The material also seems to be inconsistent, having properties from both an Aramid Mesh and Steel plates

WHOOOAH! the level of animation is AMAZING in this. the body movements of the characters is super impressive and the level of detail (eg fine facial hair and pores) is incredibe. kudos to the animation team. brilliant work.
to bad the game was utter garbage, they can make a huge and beautiful good shooter/RPG game base on TWD, but nooooooo, they all trying to go live service and milk the consumer.
If you actually knew about overkill and starbreeze you would know they have a history of doing this. Overspend on marketing and cinematics and actors not enough on gameplay
