They may not be able to live like a prize fighter, especially if they squandered their money when they were younger, but at least they will be able to live comfortably with a monthly check.

In terms of median payouts, the UFC is more lucrative than boxing for the majority; as the guys on the undercards of big boxing cards often make $5,000 or less, just look at the May/Pac and May/Mac cards for example. In the UFC, main card fighters get around $70,000 to $100,000 on average, even the little guys on the early prelims average at around $25,000. Yes you can look at the $100 Million salaries of Anthony Joshua and compare thatto the average UFC fighter and say... "Wah... boxing $$$ bruh", but those numbers are a massive anomaly afforded only to a select few boxing super stars.

Conor is the biggest star and smartest mma business man I ever seen. I think he was confident in the fight with Mayweather but it never mattered to win the fight. Before it started, Conor made sure his promo company was out there and that his whiskey was sold before it even officially came out.
