Lol. Facts!
This is the NBA version of Cheers. Where everybody literally knows your name and they're always glad you came. LOL!
This show is what the people crave. Give me this show but add in a couple more hall of famers.
I think not having panelists who were not superstars adds a different perspective
airheadmrng I agree I think it’s best with both role players and hof’ers, just not too many at once like they did some episodes. I wish open court came back...was a great idea
Agreed.. best show
"I think that's an excellent point. Coming up next on my show..."
Ernie is a savage.
Indeed. Even EJ is having enough of Kenny Smith's butting in, interruptions, and display of Dunning-Kruger syndrome with bravado.
@@OrionOodama Greg Anthony, too. One Kenny Smith is enough.
Damn C-Web got heated whenever Greg Anthony talking about anything hahahaha
Facts 💯 lmao
Why?
C Webb is trash
Because he never let him make his point he kept talking over him when ever he was saying let me explain
Dwayne Beamon and everyone else joined in they just did not want to hear what that man had to say
"So Derek, when Matt Barnes chased you around the house, how scared was you honestly?"
Not scared enough to stop screwing his ol lady
😂😂😂😂😂
So Derek, how you feeling while driving around in Matt Barnes truck ?
This video makes me want to go restart my router lmao
crespo630 lmfao
I thought my phone was tripping with all the pauses and stuff
I feel like C Webb looked for Greg in the hallway after the show and confronted him and Greg was like u gonna acknowledge the Fab 5 controversy?
Facts cwebb and Jalen rose always on the wrong side of history
In terms of Open Court appearances, this is Kenny’s best. He ain’t speaking BS like he usually does but actual facts, and doesn’t interrupt everyone at all time.
He's being an instigator too 🤣
@@nicolasmartinez795 His best instigator episode in my opinion 😂
you're crazy.. Kenny is flipping wonderful.
@@user-nh5cr1mh2lhi Kenny
I’d go with Reggie over AI. Iverson had a great run in Philly but Reggie carried that franchise for 18 or so years. Iverson was the guy in philly but he wasn’t the guy in Denver or the other places he played. Reggie busted his ass for that team, for him not to have one, really hurts.
Yeah, Reggie was way more efficient.
Oh shut that crap up. That's utter nonsense
Second the motion.
Reggie, despite a Californian, put Indianapolis to the map and led the franchise Playoff contenders while management did a good job putting key pieces every season.
As for AI, he was a walking timebomb and disruptor.
Talent is never enough, especially if ego is unable to put in check.
Iverson didn't have to in Denver he had melo and j.r. (sometimes) and he was in his feelings
and Miller was a lot more clutch and consistent. He didn't have 45 one day and then two straight 30%FG nights taking 30 shots.
35:40 they go crazy when C-Webb says "lunch meat" lol
I’ve been looking for this episode for so long!!
Boy I fell out laughing
Hakeem Olajuwan is the only Center I've ever seen, who routinely handed Shaq his ass... Seriously, Shaq crushed all the other Centers. He killed the Admiral, Ewing, Mourning etc.. Hakeem literally would abuse Shaq. That's how good he was.
Robinson played Shaq well for years before his injuries.
Yao had his run as well… although short…
Barkley's Sun teams were great too with KJ and the rest.
Surely. Houston's title runs could be easily theirs.
Both times, the Suns had series lead but failed to closeout.
@@OrionOodamathe suns were injured in 1995 and that was after losing Danny Manning for the season. Had Manning played or Barkley was healthy for game 7, the suns probably beat Houston and fight with an inferior Spurs team for the Finals berth.
The Pacers were always the bridesmaids in the 90s-2000s.
They left out the 1980's Denver Nuggets with the way they played. Conference finals in 1985 and the highest-scoring team in NBA history in 1982.
Can't understand how Alex English isn't a top 75
Damn! What’s with the weird pauses and loops!!??
This is what happens with dial-up internet.
I love this episode. This is probably one of my favorite episodes on Open Court.
EJ is invited to the barbeque with those socks on. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This was a great segment...people need to realize there were great players before LeBron and Curry, and the current players!!
There's also great players after them!!!
Moments like 34:41 is why we need this show back on air.
Fr, don't know whose decision it was to stop this show
probably the pandemic tbh, Open Court was actually ongoing until the end of the 2018-19 season@@nicolasmartinez795
@@nicolasmartinez795 Covid hit and the last show was more like a Zoom meeting. They just buried it after that.

There are a lot of underachieving players and teams on the 90's because that was the era of the GOAT.

Definitely loved watching the Kings play in the 2000s. The matchups against them and my 2000s Mavs were definitely some of the best games I ever watched.
Then you need to go back and watch the '86 Celtics against almost anybody, but especially the Lakers. Todays games are boring as hell compared to that era.
That 86 Celtics team can go up against any team in history. That team was unbelievable.
@@richardpare35382000s are not boring its the 2nd best era of basketball lol
Thank you Stephen A for uploading this video. Loved the basketball banter. Look forward to more
Most talented teams that I saw never win a championship would be the 95 Orlando Magic and 2016 Okc Thunder.
Bingo!
That’s why Orlando won 6 rings in 8 years... oh wait...
90s Knicks?
@@BadTV1993 he said that he saw. His opinion.

I love open court need more🤣
The men on this panel are smart, funny, and they clearly love each other, which I love.
EJ is awesome with everyone he works with....low key he is hilarious
39:48 Erny liked it so much that the room responded to his joke, he loves to make others smile. What a guy.
Many people not mentioning the Knicks smh in my opinion in the 90's if it wasn't for Michael Jordan the Knicks would've had at least 1 ring.
I've been watching basketball since the 60's. And yes, a NY Knicks fan too being from NYC. The games against Chicago were all out wars. If not for Chicago Bulls, they would have won a championship I believe. If Riley didn't stick with Starks for so long (heaving those 3's while building a house of bricks), I think things would have been better.
At least I got to see 2 championships with them. The glorious 69-70 season where in NY we had the Jets beat the unbeatable Colts, the Mets pull the miracle, and Knicks. It was a good year to be a NY'er.
The panel also talked about people embracing their roles, Earl the Pearl Monroe (who I hated as a Bullet, he would give Frazer fits), changed his game and the Knicks won another championship.
They should have won in 94, 95, 99, they choked
Maybe but, lets not forget about Utah and Seattle. It was always those four teams in the early to mid 90's going back and fourth!
Cuz of Jordan and Starks
those knicks were really really good but i dont think they would be able to beat houston in the finals. if they played utah or seattle in the finals those would have been really close and interesting
Really interesting actually to see them having different ideas about that time. Watching Last Dance and hearing MJ talk about how the Indiana Pacers was the hardest team to beat for them outside Detroit, Kenny and the Spurs, Greg Anthony about the Blazers, Jazz, Magic, Sonics, etc.
One of the best episodes ever.
I have no idea how the universe didn't implode when Rodman joined the military-style Spurs...
And Sean Elliot joining the bad boys 🤣
C Webb said the Davis boys were lunch meat.
jtreynol yeah they were bangers but Antonio absolutely had skills and got to show them later in Toronto. Dale on the other hand was just a straight up goon 🤣
Things get heated when greg anthony is there
love it
He's an irrationally confident and condescending journeyman
Love their stories
Webber still feels it
E.J. is an underrated, comedic, *genius*!
this show has a special energy…everyone clearly enjoyed the moments when it erupted…
"Shoot, better box that guy out huh Kev?"
Lmao
That was a good one I use to love the defensive teams back then
Moncrief and DeRozan is a HORRIBLE COMPARISON! For starters, Moncrief was in that 6'3 to 6'4 area. While Demar is 6'6. Secondly, Moncrief was the BEST TWO WAY SG in the world before MJ hit the scene. Demar's D was never close to Moncrief's level. Scoring and passing wise, both were on a similar level. BUT Moncrief played on loaded Milwaukee teams where they split the pie up. Sidney was capable of scoring 25 PPG and 6-7 dimes a night. Instead, he was more in that 21 PPG 5 dimes a night level.
So for me, Sidney was like a precursor ACTUALLY to a D Wade. In terms of two way ability, athletic ability, and passing ability as a package. Wade added more dominant scoring AND was even more athletic than Sidney. But before Wade, there was NO GUARD 6'4 and under who combined scoring, passing, defense, and athletic ability like Moncrief!
Great comments on the bucks. No mention of Terry Cummings?
I immediately thought of Terry's name, even over Moncrief's, when it came to those great Bucks teams. Just a VERY, VERY good player, came in like gangbusters in 82-83 and won Rookie of the Year, and I believe 7 out his first 8 seasons he averaged over 20PPG.
Strange indeed
You should watched the episode when CWebb talks about Terry Cumming... great one!!!
@Raul Salazar that's like saying MJ stunk with the wizards. Cummings was at the end of his career
Mannn I love Ernie had a legend in his field.
It got crazy there for several bits, but as soon as McHale starts speaking, everyone gets quite.
The 2018 Rockets are on the 2010s best team who didn't win a ring list for sure
This is one of my fav Open Court episode
Greg Anthony is the Bill Laimbeer of talking hoops. When he gets involved, there's gonna be trouble.
Was it the 04 Pacers? The team that got into the Malice in the Palace..they could have won a chip. Artest, Jermaine O’Neal, Stephen Jackson, Reggie Miller...yupppppp
The C-Webb torture episode.
The conversations here really highlight how special and great the 80's teams and players were. The superstars of the 90's were barely getting out of the first round in the 80's as younger players then. Ewing, Barkley, Malone, Stocktan, Olajawon, and even Jordan didn't become serious championship caliber players until the Celtics and Lakers in particular fizzled out. The Bulls were barely finishing third or fourth in the Central back then. I think the Pistons threw a curve ball at everyone at the end of the 80's, and really don't get enough credit for ending both the Lakers and Celtics. It's a crazy contrast to today where a guy entering his third or fourth season is expected to be leading his team and challenging for a championship. Back then, a star in their fourth year was getting KO'd in the first or second round by the Lakers or Celtics.
That's because back then the average good team was either loaded with hall of famers. Lakers and Celtics. Or they had 2 great players and built around good role players .Rockets, 76ers, Pistons, Trail Blazers And then you had teams with good role players and players that were a allstar a couple times. But, wasn't all stars all the time because the legends had the spot on lock. Mavericks with Derek Harper and Rolando Blackman. The Nuggets with Alex English. The bucks with Sidney Moncrief, the Atlanta Hawks with Wilkins. The Spurs, Warriors. and etc. I can go on forever. I forgot the cavs and the suns . The suns won 50 plus games for 5 years before barkley even got there. The NBA will never be as stack as the 80s ever again. So many great teams with great players. Half the so called superstars in todays era would be on Cedric Cornbread Maxwell, Derek Harper, and Alex English level at best if they played in the 80s. They would not be the face of the NBA.
@@KISS_MY_CONVERSE Bruh. The league is the best it's ever been as far as talent goes. Style of play is all preference
@@sanantoballa4834you do know this era is full of mediocre allstars that can't even lead there teams out of the 1st round. Russell Westbrook's is trash. I would rather have Steve Francis and stephon Marbury in there primes. At least when u put allstars around them they are getting out of the round. Same with John wall and all these PGA that r athletic. There all trash. Kevin Johnson is better than all of them. The only great players from this era is Kevin Durant and kawii Leonard and everyone shits on Durant. Anthony Davis been in the league for 6 years and has done nothing. More Skittles You say can’t lead their teams out the 1st round then mention Marbury and Francis😂😂 Yeah they definitely didn’t have flaws. Stop it.
Teams are way deeper now. Thunder lost to

@@sanantoballa4834 u sound like u didn't start watching basketball until 2004. All the good teams in the 80s were 5 or 6 players deep. What are u get taking. There was like 12 great teams in the 90s. Now u only have 3 or 4. For example, the trailblazers there bigs are horrible and there coach is a idiot. I got damien illard who has no off ball game at all. And cj is the same. They wouldn't even make the playoffs in the 90s. Today's NBA players are trash for the most part. That's why the league has to create a d league for these bums. And everyone has to join teams together cause they suck on there own except for Durant. Also, this era has changed so many rules to help these players out. Yet players in the past were way more productive. Your era is sorry. It's the truth.
