Basketball seems like it’d one of the least benefited by PEDs of the major sports, like football and baseball where brute strength is more involved. Maybe growth hormone
I grew up watching the Lakers during the early David Stern Era- love what he and his administration was able to do for the league. The NBA has come a long way.
@@mongoslade277 ESPECIALLY in 2002!!! I quit watching the NBA for about 3,4 years after that rigged Lakers v. Kings WCF!! Notice how all of the guys only talked about David Stern in professional terms. None of them wanted to say much about him as a person. We all know these guys didn't like him, but they just need to accept he did build a massive billion dollar company out of a sports league.
Basketball has some features that makes PEDs less beneficial. First of all you already have to have a special body type and be a freak athlete. The skillset is so diverse and fine-motor based and quickness and quick decision-making. PEDs help power, endurance, and repetitive skills more. The one area that would help greatly is recovery.
PED helps muscle strength, stamina, speed, that is why cycling, track and field, lifting, and swimming are heavy in PED. For guys like Chuck said, like those G-league players trying to get a chance in NBA, what they need is not PED to help their physical side, they need to enhance skills or basketball IQ. They need defense, shooting, shot selection, right decision-making. Sometimes all a guy need is couple inches taller PED can’t help these.
I don’t care HOW you frame it, it’s CHEATING, it’s FRAUDULENT, and it proves that those players DONT DESERVE to BE in the NBA. And players in track, cycling, weight lifting & swimming shouldn’t cheat the system either. Any accomplishments on PED’s are FAKE.
