I didn't know about the snapon battery bank...that is a big reason i stayed away from snapon lights...if they keep running with this battery pack system, i will definitely consider them now...i love being able to swap the battery on my lights...the icon light looks awesome tho..will be getting 1...
For some reason Harbor Frieght pulled all them off shelf and even took off web site. Curious to know what that is about. It's only a light If ya have any info about this please let us know.
Have watched 3 reviews not counting this one,and everyone liked the light it was when they tested it with brake cleaner it started peeling, it says chemical resistant but obviously is not, maybe they pulled it due to that reason? I dont know just wandering?
The problems are numerous with the icon, the magnet can't handle how long of a lever the body becomes so any little bump and it's falling, I hated that I had to cycle through all of the modes when I want to turn it off or on. Hell the cheaper black icon light remembers what setting I had it on and doesn't fall down any time I happen to bump it, plus that UV light is a joke. I'm not in love with my snap on bc it dies too fast (my battery isn't replaceable) and mine has gotten kinda floppy and the bar will fold too easy. I really wanted the Icon to be awesome it just wasn't
@ currently don’t have access to a truck, but i will in august. found a pair on ebay and also website just wondering if its worth picking up or if i can wait
What do you guys prefer? are there certain icon lights that are better? what about things like the snap on neck lights or 400 lumen floodlights. just trying to find a light debating between the two brands
Must say the 2 things that absolutely ruin the bigger version of the snap on for me, a year later the soft touch rubber is ruined, lifted and coming off 2nd is the magnet is way undersized for the unit and where the weight is distributed absolutely crap magnet. It has taken some good abuse and still charges fine almost every day however. Not to bad but for the money it should have the 2 clear oversights solved imo, shame we don’t have icon here but I just wanted an insight on the smaller version of mine. Good video
yeah they made a good light... don't really know why people want me to spray break cleaner on it I dont use break cleaner on any of my flashlights I mean why
@@rvtechpro Agreed never understood these test that not meant for everyday real world abuse. I plan to pick one of those up! seems like best possible light out their for the money! Have you ever heard of maxxeon lights? they make one similar to the braun puck light called the cyclops for $30 and change/with several color options, I fell people not to sleep on them they are great and those braun puck lights are a great option if your not wanting to break the bank or wanting a cheap secondary light. Great upload brother, God Bless!
you can also upgrade and pay the difference if they no longer have it or you decide to upgrade I think you'll have to check with your store before trying it
My only skepticism is the ICON doesn't look water proof or actually chemical resistant. Somebody needs to test it properly. Like if I accidentally drop it in coolant, how does it do when i pull it out? Just airing out my one concern.
thanks for watching...it's IP65 rated on the package... Chemical resistance is a broad term however I notice even my very pricy Snap-On lights don't promise any "chemical resistance" here is the one that ICON most likely is competing with shop.snapon.com/product/Articulating-(Lighting)/600-Lumen-Rechargeable-Battery-Flex-Light-(Orange)/ECARG068O it is IP65 rated as well with no "chemical resistance" listed, If you know of any snap on lights that advertises chemical resistance let me know please.

It’s definitely a game-changer for sure, I’d say go for it!
I got the same snap on light at ace hardware for $32 and this was made for feit electrics
You can’t beat those prices!
Exactly. LED's are a dime a dozen. $30 is the max this should be.

Take some brake cleaner, rub it into the paint with a cloth, and tell us whether the paint comes off.
I'll have to give that a shot on which light?

$60 is still too steep. Its a Chinese LED light. They are literally a dime a dozen. $30 bucks MAX.
