I knew that spending more time at home in South Africa was a part of his decision. He barely spent the last 7 years of his granny's life with her and they were very close so I'm sure he wants to be around his family more often. Thank you Trevor for showing any African child that it is possible if you work hard,to make it to the peak of any mountain.

Almost all South Africans don't last abroad once you go abroad that is when you realize nothing is better than being home i was shocked even White South Africans come back to South Africa after traveling! I knew he wasn't going to last at The Daily Show all South Africans including me we are back in SA even when we got the opportunity to leave and never come back.

During the beginning of the pandemic when everything was shutting down, Trevor was still there, filming on his cell phone, sitting in what I think was the hallway of his apartment, and uploading to social media platforms. He was the only late night host/commentator that was reliably still communicating with his fan base during that very disorienting and scary time. I was so very thankful for his presence and perspective then and he's earned a special place in my heart ever since.
Same 💛 I loved watching him, especially during that time. Brought lots of smiles and laughter during such hard times.

Lowkey felt this was coming after his granny's passing. There's no place like home especially because of our strong family ties. He's been such a pleasure. He aimed for the sky and reached the stars. A huge inspiration to not just South Africans but Africans alike.

He was closest to those who struggle against injustice & prejudice having lived it deeply & personally in his early life. But astonishingly he has the wisdom, & intellect to tackle the most thorny, dividing of topics in an erudite & humanising way whilst being funny.
Trevor is a singular human being & talent.

"Time is not money, time is time." It's an absolute true I realized on this extremely well paid but all-time consuming job I had a few years back. There's no money in the world that is worth your life just passing by you, and although I will miss Trevor a lot, I am also very happy for him, because he's doing exactly what every one of us should as well - taking care of ourselves and knowing when it's the time to turn to other priorities in life. Luckily, he won't go soon, but whenever he does I wish him all the hapiness and luck ❤️❤️❤️
Trevor, if it wasn't for you I would have never made it through 45's presidency or Covid pandemic. To be able to hear bad news in an enjoyable way relieved a lot of stress.

Iove how he talks about going to Germany for two weeks to perform and learn German, then going to India for a while to learn Hindi, as if it's no big deal. Maybe one day Trevor can show us his secret sauce for learning languages, or maybe he's just a genius. I'm excited to see more of his stand-up.

America's really the only country in West...maybe even the world where it's "normal" for people to only know one language. Don't get me wrong your admiration is valid, but knowing 2 or 3 languages is like tablestakes in places like Europe, Africa, Japan, China, etc...

So many people doubted Trevor when he took over from Jon. This is a reminder to those people, that Trevor is not Jon and what Trevor brought to the show was new, unique, and so valuable.

@@ksc743 I don't think there is any info yet. It'll be a huge process. It takes several months of logistics and it's all done in private.
When they do an announce it, that's when like 80% to 90% of the process is already done.
We can be happy, because now we have a chance see Trevor on his next world comedy tour, and the next one, and the next one! He wants to travel more. So much love for this man and his contributions to my life ❤️

As someone not from 'the States', although I lived there for 20 years, gladly left 2019, he was very refreshing to hear his recount of the daily events, through his own perspective. I was upset when Jon was leaving but instantly became hooked and intrigued by this Trevor Noah fella 🤨 lol but I must say after 7 years of all the great things and just how he presents himself and has been a big part of my life in my downs and how quickly he can bring me back up no matter what the topic may be! I feel connected to him much more in a way then I did with Jon, which is what makes this news a little bit more sad for me 😕 but Trevor is on to bigger and better things and I applaud him and wish him the BEST!!
