    I have a 2000 sienna with 285,700 miles. The engine still runs great. I told the wife that i hope the van reaches 300,000 miles. And then she asked what i would do once the van reaches 300,000 miles. I turned to her and told her, "I'm shooting for the van to reach 350,000 miles. What do you expect buy you a new van? Hell no!" Our van just keeps on going and going. I'm surprise how well our van handles the weather her in Ohio.

      EM P yes agree,this van keeps running and running. Its at 200,000 miles now.it was also totaled,rear lift gate door was replaced from a junkyard and repainted. It does have oil leak from rear valve cover gasket,i just keep adding oil every week. Runs great but i also highly recommend to flush your power steering system,i did it last month.

    I bought a used vacuum switch from ebay. The code came back a few days later. Will try a new one. All the vacuum hoses were also replaced. Nice job providing the part number.

    The pcv valve is easier to get to on the Camry with the same engine. On the Sienna, the engine is sunk down further into the engine bay and partially under the windshield. Rear spark access on almost all V6 engines these days is very difficult,not just on Toyotas.

      @@nazarettos6987 I replaced both charcoal canister and vacuum solenoid on my 2001 Sienna (160k miles on it), but the P0440 still there. when I changed the PCV valve after I watched your video, the PCV valve was broken, 1/3 of it remained inside, I tried to get it out, it broke into a few pieces and dropped into the chamber, I was not able to see and get them out, I plugged the new one in any way, hope it won't cause big trouble to the engine. The old PCV valve was so brittle, very light force to pull out caused it to break right away. Do you have any idea what will happen those pieces of plastic remain inside?

    • @chrisleffel5835
      @chrisleffel5835 6 років тому

      My experience wasn't quite as bad, but this video makes it look like you can get your hand on the valve - only if you have small hands. Broke the old one using pliers to get it out. It was stuck in place with all the goo caked on and around it and needed my largest flat head to pry it out. You also have to get the hose clamp off the other end and took time and patience getting it back on over the new one. Also took a bit of coaxing to get it into the engine side - there was no way I could get my hand on it to push it in. Used same big screw driver to gently get it in.
