Awesome video! I have that same problem with my 2005 Solara.... has the same 3.3 engine. I am going to try this tomorrow if it doesn't rain. Thank you!!
Interesting thing is Toyota also sells all those valves as a set pre-mounted on a new bar complete with the U-shaped hoses already installed for about $250. Those valve take a beating sitting on top of the engine with all the heat rising up directly on them. Not the smartest layout.
Same year, but a Corolla. Replacing the purge valve resolved the P0441, but the P0442 and P0446 still remain. I also replaced the VSV on the charcoal canister (it's called VSV for vapor pressure sensor), which did not resolve the two remaining codes. I tested the the third VSV (it's in the engine bay below the purge VSV, and it's called "VSV for close canister valve") and it's open at rest (air flows through) and closes when power is applied (air does not flow through). Smoke test with no leaks seen. Any ideas? Thank you.
My sienna has the exactly the same codes, I already change the fuel ⛽️ tank cover and still the same problem. I’ll changing this part. ( what’s the part’s name ?
@@rkgsd I replaced that part with a Toyota part also and still the same code evaporator small leak detected. Idk what else to do. Do u think it could because the remote start ???

The Canister itself may have an internal leak. When I get leak codes and I can't find a leak with a smoke checker I usually go for the canister
@@GEARMOAUTO Thanks.
Just change the purge valve on my 2003 highlander it is on the charcoal canister under the rear of the car
Is that 1MZ-FE engine? My is 2000 Camry LE and I have the P0446.
Part is 90910-12259. Thanks!!

Vacuum Switching Valve aka purge valve.

what lead you to believe that valve is not working? there're four valves total.
Looks like the TSB is for 04 only.
Use 90 degree angled phillips to get in there and not have to take all that other stuff loose.
Cost?
Can this VSV failure lead to a p0300 misfire code? Have a 2005 Sienna with both p0441 and p0300. Thanks.
No P0300 misfire. only, Maybe more than one cylinder
Mucho bla bla bro
