I’m having major issues with lap marks over white oak. Used 2 coats of Whiteseal then 2 coats of Matte Power. The edges in a few areas have lap lines and everywhere that I backed out of rooms have lap lines. I used a 3/8 nap dip and roll method.

I used the pallx power matte over my stain and it looks like it enhanced the imperfections..after staining it looked good and while the power finish was wet it looked good..did I miss a step?? I used dark walnut oil stain and it really muted some areas to where they don’t look like the have stain or finish on them. Floors are so much work I hope I didn’t mess it up

Just did a floor using two coats of Pall-X Color Sealer over raw refinished wood sanded to 120 grit, probably too fine, and then two coats of semigloss Pall-X Finish. Came out really nice but did consume quite a bit more sealer product than we expected. I suspect this was caused by the width of the boards and the small gaps soaking up the sealer. Still, looks great, no marks from pours, low odor, easy application, I'm hooked for sure to use this on our next floors in our house and the floors in the kids house.

Any advantages (durability) for hydrbid over just standard 2 coats Power/Gold X?

I wanted my floors to remain in it's raw stage look. I purchased the ultra matte Pall X and the clear finish. The contractor put down the clear sealer (came out like a solid picket white fence floor). He didn't know how to put it down and a little over a year ago, there was no video or information to show how to do it. I now have a floor that I'm noticing that when a liquid like red juice falls on the floor, it is staining. Noticing also that right in front of the couch where there is a lot of foot traffic, it's getting dingy. Please help, what do I do now.? I may have mixed up what went down first but please help.

Hi there, sorry to hear about your floor! Sounds like there could have been a mistake made when applying the products. Might also be that there's not enough finish down. I'd recommend reaching out to a local trusted contractor to take a look. Might be that you just need a recoat!

What about over water-based dye? I'm guessing the waterborne sealers and finish would reactivate the dye and make things muddy?

Also, could I mix a premixed water-based dye concentrate (I'm thinking of W. D. Lockwood dye powder) into your sealer to good effect?

Hi there! I'd recommend getting in touch with Pallmann, they'll have good recommendations for what to use over water-based dye. Their phone number is 866.505.4810.
