Was the whole performance like this? There's ZERO soul in them during this segment. I haven't seen RHCP live in nearly three decades and they were so alive then. I know they're a bunch of rich, old guys now, but come on man.

I think Flea is not getting angry. He is just transmitting in a direct and visual way, that something is not good with the sound of his bass. This is apart from, indeed, RHCP has a poor sound playing live. Which doesn't means they don't try to perform a great show always. Thanks God we have RHCP.
