hainbach is overrated. He is good at what he does, but that's nothing Loopop can do and I'm sure he can do it million times better! Just a fact! Take a tape delay, generate some noise, record it on tape together with some clever chords, play it back, use reverb, play it at slow speed, and then move your hands like a "spiritual healer" and act like you're making contact with some holy ghosts. That's hainbach. haha Sounds stupid,. but that is the hard truth. Everyone can do what he does. But can everyone create music like Aphex Twin or Philip Glass? Like Hans Zimmer? Like Ennio Morricone?? Of COURSE NOT.

@@helgarollner2106 i mean i'm happy for anybody doing his thing on youtube, but that pseudo-philosophical introduction at 26min alone almost made me stop the video early. then the random and totally unrelated effects he threw on also didn't contribute anything to the video. "yeah well you can throw effects on this synth too" wow ok cool thanks. it felt like a forced promotional "collab" video without any acutal benefit for the audience.

The hardware part is quite... overwhelming heh - in the sense that there are SO many of them and they do suuuch different things from each other... choosing just one or two seems painful hahah.
I'd love having just instruments and hands-on everything, but sadly their virtual counterparts are way more cost-effective for now.
Still, I'd love to get started with a physical synth, to connect to the digital piano I'm planning on getting asap. Or maybe I should get an iPad and connect that to the piano, as I could have multiple synths there... ooof)

So I'm pretty sure those intonation discrepancies are due to our acclimation to equal temperament. Like the way notes are distributed on a keyboard allow for 12 notes that are an equal distance apart. This allows us to play in 12 different keys with the same relative intonation. In nature, the pitch of certain intervals adjusts according to the fundamental, so an "E" would be "sharp" according to a keyboard if it appears as the third or seventh of a chord.

@@LuisFlores-xr5bu Truth be told I’d rather save up for the Moog I can’t afford.

Great review, like all of your reviews ^_^
I would so much like to hear what it sounds if you do really fast polyrythmic arpeggios in a huge octave range, you know like in chiptunes! Pleaaaase?

Loopop. I am after some advice. I have the subharmonicon (great unit from moog), I have the sub37 too. And I have the Arturia Drumbrute. They all actually complement each other well. I have been trying to get Oscillator one to be triggered by the drumbrute clock out. This is no problem when place Drumbrute clock out into the 'play' in of the subharmonicon. But, I am trying to isolate oscillator one from Oscillator two, and have the sub 37 trigger just Oscillator two by midi out of the sub 37. The sub 37 is duophonic but, if it can be done, there is the possibility of playing the subharmonicon as a sequencer triggered by the drumbrute, and have pad like paraphony played on oscillator two in conjunction with the sub 37's own oscillators. I have been able to have 9 oscillators on the go using the sub 37 to trigger all oscillators of the subharmonicon together with the sub 37's two oscillators and sub oscillator. I just don't know what to try to be able to split the two oscillators and trigger them independently using outboard kit. thoughts? I understand we are all hoping for a firmware update to the subharmonicon for duophonic upgrade but till then, is there a way it can be done? Stay good.

So if you configure the keystep pro to use four cv voices in a single track you could get four paraphonic voices with the patch bay. This thing just blew my mind.
