- I bought a used pair of these Recaro Ergomed car seats for my truck but until I finish the bodywork on it I want to use it as a lounge chair.

Now you just need a race sim setup to go along with your chair!
I made one it's the 3rd Video I ever made, so don't watch it! ;) I gave it away, Sadly not much time to use it...
I think I just found my new hobby :D
Thanks!!!!!
BTW where can I find the matrice for the arms?
The best seat in the house.
simple and great idea at the same time, your skills are extraordinary.
Very clever.
Awesome idea, I have a set of AMG seats from a W202. I think a set of rocking chairs could work great and get them out of the workshop!! Love it!! Another winner!!
I bet they are super comfy! Those would be sweet rocking chairs!
What are the chances of that. I'm getting one of my C43 AMG seats down from the loft this evening to use in the house. What did you end up doing with yours?
Thanks for Idea 👍
Great job Seb!
Thanks man!
Extremely beautiful! 👍👍👍
Thank you very much!
Awesome build & terrific idea! Nicely done......👍👍😉😉👏👏

Thanks! Yes She is.
Now to get power to the bun warmer.
Yup! I used a 40W 6A LED Power Supply. Hopefully it's enough!
great idea sebastian...
Thanks Felix!
Very cool project keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend make on
Thanks, will do!
@@Ollaris good to hear
Lovely job, I've wanted to make one of these ever since I saw them on Top Gear many years ago 👍
👍
Thanks man!
belle réalisation , merci pour le partage
I've tried a couple of different designs to use a car seat as a computer chair, on mine "RECARO" is spelled differently (K-I-A) they are unbelievably comfortable for computer work and hard wearing.
I appreciate they are goin gin your truck but as you spent so much time carving the frame can I make just a tiny suggestion? Carve out a small rectangular cover for the metal mount sticking out the front. Would just finish it off nicely.
Super cool awesome work 👍 👍 👍 Geetering Martin 🙋♂️
Dankeschön Martin!

Great build Sebastian - my son would love this for his xbox sessions!
Thanks! Maybe his Dad makes one for him for Christmas!😊
Hopefully Santa Claus might bring a few new tools to allow me do this! 😂
Now that would be perfect
Great video. Nice design and fab. I did a similar thing but I never got around to installing the seat in my car. 😁 Mahalo for sharing!:) 🐒
Thanks! It’s the most comfortable place in my house, so I might have to get a 3rd seat....😅
Nice job :)
Thank you! Cheers!
nice one! and as always a pleasure to watch&listen :)
Thanks Tomasz!
he he - pfiffige idee - vor allem kann man deinen sitz nach vorne klappen wenn hinten einer einsteigen möchte - gruaß vom federl 🤘😎👍💚🍺🖖
Ha! Genau 😅
Magnifique beau boulot .
I love this armchair and would like to make one. Do you still have the template you used, and if so would you be willing to take a photo of it and make it available so I could use it as a guide to make my own?
Thanks a lot, Sorry I don’t have the template or the chair anymore.
@@Ollaris Can you at least tell me if you were able to get all the different pieces out of 1/2 piece of plywood or did you require the entire 4 ft by 8 ft size?
@@nebfowler I made this chair 2years ago, I really don’t remember. We only have 5x5 size plywood.
Bellissimo progetto... ho sedili nuovi ma quasi zero attrezzatura...👏
Very 😎
Great build..is it possible to convert S class powered seats to a chair.. Can the motors be operated without bcm?
someone gave me a old car seat and I'm searching for ideas on how to mount legs and absolutely love the design of your arms/legs for this chair. where did you get or how did you make the template you used to cut out the legs for the chair?
Honestly I just set the seat on a box that felt the right height and used cardboard and a hot glue gun to glue together the shape i liked. After that i Transfered over the cardbord template to a piece of thin wood ( the stuff you see in the video was a piece of backboard from a dresser that i found in the dumpster) and cut it out with a Jigsaw.
Awesome build. I love the way it looks. My son has been wanting a gaming chair for his room and I think this would be perfect. Would you be able to share the dimensions for the legs. What is the width and height of each leg?
VERY cool, no wonder @JimmyDiresta recommended your channel ..... you had some health issues when you started your channel didn’t you?. You’re looking very healthy now 👍💪💪😎😎
Thanks a lot! I feel a lot better now with the right medication! Fortunately my disease doesn’t show on camera!😅😄
When you need to peel off something that has been glued with hot glue, spray 92% alcohol that loosens easily without damaging the piece like you did. Hope this helps! Hug.
Wow! Thank you so much! This really helps! I’ve struggled to get the hot glue off.
Hello it's a very nice job and armchair'' would you have plans or an exquisite of this wonderful work thank you very much
I love everything about this project, amazing! How many router bits did you burn through?
Thanks Phil! Actually 0. Although i have to change the bearing on the flush trim one because the dust shield went flying 😅
@@Ollaris nice work all around. I have been wanting to do something similar for a long time
It’s a fun project once you get the shape figured out and the template made.
Clever design and great work as always, but to be honest i don't think it fits inside the house, looks more like a garage furniture.
Anyway nice job, love your stuff!
Thanks! Yes it is not everyone’s cup of tea.
Hallo, gibt es ein Schnittmuster oder eine Vorlage Skizze? evtl. als pdf ?
Parabéns, lindo projeto.
Nice)
First minute. Jigsaw blade goes waaaaay off. Any reason why it did that? Happened to me before.
Yup. I had too much side pressure on the saw. In curves it’s much more prone to do that.
Very nice design!
That bit in the impact driver is LONG! Where did you get it? I've never seen one that long.
Thanks! Found it in a local hardware store. It’s made for pocket holes.
I noticed that there is little to no splintering on the ply wood, is it baltic birch ply?
It’s the only kind of birch plywood where i live but it’s not really quality stuff.
Хорошая работа. Количеству струбцин завидую по хорошему. Что за чудо печка в конце ролика?
1:00 looks like you need a new jigsaw blade 🙂
That too! And less side pressure when going around corners.
Coole Idee👍 der Sitz hat aber keinen Airbag-oder?😉
Nein hat der noch nicht. Ist nur ein ES model.
Good job...il manque un support pour les pieds....
👍
Interesting build! Two cross members held on with pocket screws = zero strength. Other than the seat mount plate, those legs have no lateral stability.
Thanks a lot! I’ve tried it first without the cross members and it was waaaay too flimsy! Adding those braces made it super stiff. It works just fine for the time being.

Cool !!!
Mit Sitzheizung? ;-)
Yup, und Kühlung.
