One of my absolute favorite bands. Every song is a fucking banger and the songwriting is so good. Their music has gotten me through a lot of bad times and am so excited about the new album 🖤
This band still goes hard af, yes they put out a radio track first, but honestly, that's just smart marketing, these other tracks released recently are the heavy hitters, and I'm sure there will be plenty more on the album 🤘🏻
I love heavy but an album of nothing but heavy isn't going to be on rotation for me for very long. You need the cleans and the softer songs to kind of mix it up and keep it interesting
Exactly. I feel like we as the listeners forget that it's their band and they're the ones having fun making the music. They do what they want to. Now don't get me wrong I'd love to hear an absolutely brutal and nasty new Wage War song but if this is the direction that they like and love then good for them.
Never stop making music they way you want. There’s always gonna be the people that don’t like what you do but as long as you guys are enjoying it, then who cares. I for one, have loved every album these guys have put out. Yes, including pressure
The only thing I have about magnetic, aside from not really being a fan of it at first, was that it was the first single. If they released Tombstone first, then NAIL5, then Magnetic, I feel like it would have been a bit more well received. Magnetic is definitely a grower and I enjoy the song more now lol
They are absolutely killer live and super chill guys to hang with. Although their style has changed around over the years, I appreciate each one as it tells what they were going through when writing. I’ll take genuine and style changing over the same cookie cutter songs just to “sound the same”
It’s so true. You put out your typical wage war song & people will moan it’s the same stuff. So you change your sound & people moan it’s changed hahah. Happens to every band
I love the variation. That's what music is supposed to be. I crank up Manic, High Horse, Tombstone and then do the same for the stripped version of Johnny Cash as well as Magnetic.
Dude I love the new songs, I saw these dudes live opening for SlipKnot, they fuckin’ crushed, I don’t like every single song, but I’d say more than 75% of their discography is amazing, I mean they have all the variety of fuckin brutal tracks like Fury, Tombstone, Death Roll, then you have the soft and beautiful songs like Magnetic, or the entire acoustic album, and to top it off they have songs that combine those, THAT IS TRUE TALENT
I absolutely love the band and I'm all for making what you want! My problem is is that most of the new album (not all of it), feels forced and not genuine. I still like the new album though, but I'm hoping future material feels more genuine.
Anyone who complains about Wage War's soft songs are not true fans. If you're just there for the heavy stuff then good for you, but it's boring. Bands can experiment with whatever they want to do, and Wage War have shown that they always do go back to heavy music. One soft song isn't the end of the world.
I wouldn’t say it’s boring making Heavier songs there are bands like Darko and Ten56 that are heavy as fuck but are very much original in their own way. what I find boring are all these bands that have that radio rock octane core sound that everyone is doing nowadays and wage war is definitely guilty of this
You guys fuck with my head so much. Wasn’t a huge fan of manic at first, heard it live, changed my mind. Wasn’t a huge fan of the two new ones, but again yall played them live last week and fuck, live they’re so heavy!
Keep doing what you're doing. Wage war is the most consistent metalcore band right now.. theyre right there with As I Lay Dying before Tim went to prison
Lol all I heard is "Do you guys take in account what ur fans want when u make music?" "No" With stigma it shows. Erra and wage war both going pop is insane. At least BMTH did it well jesus.
At least do it well. Their music used to make u wanna punch through a window, now theyre just make me snooze out. Pisses my off when my favorite bands are turning into an "Add one song from the album to my playlist" bands. And the only songs that go hard are the ones that have more of their old sound inside of it. Just bummed.
Kind of a cowardly attitude as an artist “well you’d hate it if we put out a stock Wage War song”. The problem is that the new songs are really poorly constructed, kind of generic and pandering, not that they’re different.
The ADTR effect. But for real, Magnetic is kinda eh. And the new heavier tracks are nice but is anybody noticing how they are very short in comparison to like deadlocked or other earlier songs? Its like, they want to get the heavy out of the way as quick as possible?
To hell with opinions such as theirs. They are irrelevant. That song slaps. Also its verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, and then chorus. It’s a normal song lmao. How is that controversial?
Tbh so far I haven't been impressed with this album. Been listening to it over and over again to get it to grow on me but, compared to Manic(specifically Death Roll), it's "meh" for me
Nope he's on the money. The metalcore scene is becoming increasingly toxic and entitled. Lose their minds over a softer song then come crawling back for the heavier ones.
the new album is terrible. not just because it is "different". it is so boring, bland and some of the lyrics are so bad. "the only enemy, is the enemy." is such a cringe line. they can't seriously look back at their last few albums, and then their latest album STIGMA and think "wow we have improved a lot" anyways, my 2 cents.
Keep making what you love, your true fans will always be here.
yeah we will!!

Definitely a grower. Had it on repeat for a couple weeks after the initial first week of release
