This is what's special about the metal community. The bands are so connected to the fans and the bands interact with the fans on a level that no other genre seems to match, it's so awesome.
Wage War is a class act. I saw them headline at a 1000 cap club on Deadweight cycle for about 500 people. Right after their set my Dad and I are sitting at the bar waiting for the venue to clear out a bit and get some merch. The bartender puts out 5 shots and Briton and Seth come up behind us and put their hands on our shoulders saying ‘what’s up guys?! You enjoy the show???’ My dad and I were startled a bit and were like ‘fuck yeah it was sick!’ They proceeded to offer us shots on them(neither of us drank so we declined) and bullshitted with us for 45 minutes about music, life, and guitars. Those guys were actually interested in getting to know us and asking a lot of questions about ourselves. Questions like how I took care of my long hair because they were both growing theirs out 😂 Super friendly guys and it was cool moment. Moments like that you’ll remember forever. They deserve all the success they get.
Thinking back, I was definitely one of those dudes yelling "fuck yah" when you walked on stage😂. Your channel really introduced me to alot of metal core bands when I first got into the genre. Seeing you play at litterally my FIRST metal concert was unreal.
I was there at the concert. I bought tickets for it completely last minute not knowing much about the band but when spite went up i saw nik standing sixestage and absolutely lost it took so many pictures of him just standing there vibing lolll but when he came up to play the river which i was literally NOT expecting my mind just instantly went "best. Concert. Ever." Nik absolutely killed it on stage and im so glad i pilled up to the concert. Kinda sad i didnt get to meet him after though, hope to see him at future concerts maybe :D
You may have effed a part in the song, in your mind but you show respect, not just for the band but also for the fans. You got a beautiful experience out of it, one that you will remember for the rest of your life! That's what matters!
The River was the first song I ever heard from Wage War. I remember specifically hearing that drum into, skipping it and going "What the fuck was that?!" and doubled back. I got to meet the guys in a meet & greet during the Pressure Tour in 2019. Got to play cornhole with them and chill for a bit inside the venue. Such a great bunch of dudes and still one of my favorite bands.
4:21 this is the exact pain of learning the nuances of literally any meshuggah song as a drummer. The difference being that usually there IS a pattern, but there's usually at least some varied aspect every bar or some other bullshit you just have to memorize.
Glad to see you went out. Get a bit of sunshine Nik (before we're stuck in snow again)! Congrats on the upgrade! 👏👏👏👏👏 A few less shooters probably helps... 😆
I just saw wave war live in San Diego a couple weeks ago. I have to say Nick is absolutely right about how clean and well produced their set is. They sound sooooooo good live. Became a bigger wage war fan after seeing them.
I love wage war man. Awesome dudes and a fantastic band. I've played smash bros with the lead singer quite a few times when they've come to saint louis and its been a blast. Great guys.
I remember back in 2021 when wage war did their christmas show (iwasthere) and then just finished playing high horse and briton was like "are you tired" --- me* (noooooo) Briton: too bad! THIS IS THE RIVER and the whole place went nuts it was so much fun love wage war
Just finished watching the set and I must say I did very much enjoy niks performance but what is this man bass thought that didn’t exisist 😂😂😂😂 great job and good show ❤ thought I’d never seen him in any Compasity perform live 😮
Hey Nik, you should consider posting the live song with your stems in it, I understand that it could be hard to accomplish but I’m sure everyone would love to see it 🤘
Pls come play guitar with every band that books a gig at danforth!! Also I can hear myself in this vid lol I knew it was gonna be you they invited on stage 😂😂
I always play guitar at my desk sitting down, but when I do play standing I actually sound better for some reason? (though tbf that's not a very high bar lol)
Ooooo now u said they record everything to u should reach out to the legend Cody and ask him to mix it for a manic deluxe with there fav performance from each tour stop if they could and release it that would be dope asf
*Huge thanks to Wage War for letting Nik join them on stage!* ❤
You could've used the video I uploaded :(
I was at that show you absolutely killed it man!

Copy and paste comment from the bass video lol
nik: jokes about doing vocals on stage
one month later: doing guest vocals with alex terrible at a slaughter to prevail show
Nik: Next upgrade - VOCALS!
Will Ramos: Yo dude, I've got a gig for you!
Slaughter to prevail be like
5:24 "next guest feature..vocalist!" *vocals on demolisher with slaughter to prevail*
Once again, this is Niks world, we're just living in it

I was probably standing right behind the camera guy filming that vid. That concert was fucking awesome. So cool to see you there

Nik has officially played every single instrument on stage for sp many other bands 😂 its time to play drums for one of them
Great job Nik! Your really starting to get the recognition you deserve! So much talent. And I never knew you were 6’2” WTF 😂
Patiently awaiting the Termina world tour
How patient are you? 😂
'Phrost
@@NikNocturnalTwitchClips phrost Andy did say in his live stream he’s trying to get nik to do a termina tour so maybe it will happen
@@NikNocturnalTwitchClips oh you’d be surprised
I was there and Wage War was so damn good live. Spite and Nothing, Nowhere was great, too.
That’s sick! I graduated high school in 2012 with Chris, the bass player, super cool dude
I was lucky enough to see both. Absolutely amazing experience!
Glad to see you went out. Get a bit of sunshine Nik (before we're stuck in snow again)!
Congrats on the upgrade! 👏👏👏👏👏
A few less shooters probably helps... 😆
I was there at the Toronto show and it blew my mind that you were there on stage with Wage war, nothing nowhere and spite were good too

Nik throwing down with my hometown people Wage War!! Great job man
INSANELY super cool and nice fucking work dude! Congrats brother
It’s really cool to see you know you’ve done well and are enjoying the win. Not familiar with the song but looking right now
Nice job man. Saw them last night at the palladium in Worcester. Great set.
I saw them live last Friday. It was such an amazing show. Wage War is just so good live.
I opened for them in 2022, great dudes and a great crew 🤘
I am happy to say I appeared in this video. I am the awkward dude wearing the Spider-Man shirt in front of the camera. Very proud🤟
The sunburn from going outside after eons must have been killer 😂😂😂
Wage war was fucking awesome live when I saw them.
man, when I saw the title I thought it was Good Charlotte's The River lol. Got hyped and thought Nik was hitting some throwback emo night
Just finished watching the set and I must say I did very much enjoy niks performance but what is this man bass thought that didn’t exisist 😂😂😂😂 great job and good show ❤ thought I’d never seen him in any Compasity perform live 😮
Awesome. This makes me even more excited to see them in London, ON in July!
Thats why its called the river. It flows in 1 direction.
I discovered WAGE WAR because of your channel and now they are my favorite band...
I was at that show to see Spite, didn’t care for wage war but man it was cool to see nik there
And to think he was right about being a vocalist. Thank god for Alex Terrible
You're sooooo much taller than I thought you'd be dude. I watched this before, that song goes hard, you did good man.
You were getting it with the head bangin! Dope shit bro
Little did Nik know his next invite WOULD be vocals, not only vocals but Alex Terrible vocals.
Wait a second... You're telling me Nic has legs????
That sounds so fun, awesome that you got to see your stems too lol
0:03 your boy, who???
Hey Nik, you should consider posting the live song with your stems in it, I understand that it could be hard to accomplish but I’m sure everyone would love to see it 🤘
….how???
Soon enough Nik is gonna run around the stage and take away the instruments from the band members, one by one and shred))
The river slaps so hard though
standing and playing is so much different than sitting, I'm 6'4 and I know exactly what you mean. It really is a whole different thing.
I was at this exact concert. You can see me in the front with the crazy curly hair😂😂
dude. I was so close to going to that show. Cant believe I missed out on this. come on man
Months late here but I was also at that show, my first time seeing Wage War, nothing, nowhere and Spite.
Just went to the Wage War show in Jersey the other day. I wish I was bullshitting when I say Will Ramos came onstage for Nothing,Nowhere.
That had to be the coolest thing ever!
I get reminded Nik is Canadian every time he say “eh?”
🍁hes 6'2'' Canadian, ( its like dog years) 🍁 it calculates out to like 4'8''
Nik is 6’2?! Holy shit. I’ve never seen someone give off more 5’9 energy.
I would have guessed 5’9
He reminds me of my 2 younger cousins, so I guess in my mind, I saw him as 5'8ish - 5'9 like them. UA-cam doesn't give that kind of info.
Actually he’s 5’14
Actually he’s 5’14
Lmao you predicted your vocal feature
Fringe banging - brought to you by Nik Nocturnal.
That's awesome! 🤘
was at this show in toronto! super dope!!
Nik is 6’2??? He does not look like he’d be that tall wow 😮
You nailed it!!!
Lorna with you on vocals would be LIT
Sitting here as a 6'5 bassist who really wants to start playing live lol
I always wonder how these things come to be
a glimpse behind the scenes
also I would've never guessed nik is canadian lmao
4:59 got me rotfl 😂😂
Pls come play guitar with every band that books a gig at danforth!! Also I can hear myself in this vid lol I knew it was gonna be you they invited on stage 😂😂
Do you have the stems?
I'd like to hear them and see how bad my playing really is.
I never woulda guessed Nick was 6'2 lol
My band was known for never repeating parts. We were riff machines.
👌🏼
I was at that show and I didn't even notice you!
lets see them setmssssss
spent a week on shiprocked with wage war, had a great time, and they were nice. Cody even took a picture of my wife and i with matty mullins. lol
Didn't you play a dragonforce concert with Stevie T
Yeah, a little improv over Farming Simulator music 😂
'Phrost
I always assumed nik was like 5’8 or something lol
I always play guitar at my desk sitting down, but when I do play standing I actually sound better for some reason? (though tbf that's not a very high bar lol)
hes standing up yall what the heckamadoodles😟
Nik got legs. Who knew?!
'Phrost
This was awesome!
Holy shit 6'2 I had you at hobbit height my bad!
He's part russian isnt he? Makes sense
Well done mate 🤛🤛
Ooooo now u said they record everything to u should reach out to the legend Cody and ask him to mix it for a manic deluxe with there fav performance from each tour stop if they could and release it that would be dope asf
That is 1 thing people need to learn is to practice playing standing up cause you might play a thing well sitting down but stand up and mess it up.
Can you make a video about OBLIVEON like a first listen or something like that? The band is working on a 5th album which will be released in 2024 !!
My fav song by them
please share the stems with us hahaha
Why did I think he was talking about good charlotte featuring m shadows, and synyster gates
Next feature Recreant with Lorna?
He didn't lie about his height, he is thall
NIKKA NOCTURNAL
I was just watching the bass video xD
I had no idea nik was that tall LMFAO
Love it haha
So rad 😎
THIK DIK NIK
