I think that you can undo the sun bleaching by putting the plastic pieces in a tub full of hydrogen peroxide, and shining a UV light on it, and then leaving it for about a day or something. That’s what I’ve seen with people who restore retro video-game consoles, idk if it would work for Tomy/Trackmaster toys.

I remember the last time I saw the older stuff new in store with zero idea that it would never be new in store again with the TM revolution coming on in. I also remember the day I got a few of the older ones I have/had. I remember I got the old TM Oh the Indignity Gordon from Toys R’ Us along with Skarloey and the Puppet Show Special. I got the Yellow Rheneas for my eighth birthday almost nine years ago along with a TM Percy and Rusty and the Coal Hopper. I got Conner and Caitlin I’m pretty sure that same year. I recently got Donald and Douglas from Fisher Price for my sixteenth birthday and I vaguely remember having a set with James and a short little loop of the old grey track. Oh gosh, now I’m suddenly remembering seeing them at Chapters in the sets with the boxes looking like the ones Bachmann currently uses. I really want to cry from just typing this.
Ok I might be late but if you haven't cleaned diesel ten yet. There is a way that might work to save him. If you clean the contacts you can rough them up using 80 grit sand paper to get them working. It work for mine.

I'm glad you were able to get all these Tomy/Trackmaster items! Especially when they're mostly still in the box! The dates on the bottom don't really mean much. Just because it says 1996 on the bottom, it might've been made in 2005. One of the out-of box Duncans is a hit Toys trackmaster and the other is a Tomy. I'm not sure if Duncan ever got released in America under Tomy Tomy Bill didn't exist until 2006, which I find surprising. I don't think the long Clarabels ever had rear couplings, which I always found odd. 22:08 That's actually from the Flip Track series which came before GeoTrax. I had some flip track as a kid which as the name implies had road on the bottom of the rail track. You could put cargo, signs, other vehicles, and caboose bodies on those cars I remember seeing the Splatter and Dodge at BigLots and Marshall's back in the day The pack at 29:50 is one of my favorites. 33:35 what I love about the later trackmaster boxes of those sold at Walmart is that they showed all the engines of that size available. While some of the other Trackmaster boxes just show the six that were in that case/wave. 35:30 one of the reasons I got Murdoch as a kid is that he came in a different-sized box than the other engines 38: 37 you can't even buy a motorized All Engines Go set for that price today!

The yellow crates you thought came with Rocky, are actually from a fisher price toy boat with a crane, and the crates were the load. I used to use the crates for my Tomy/track master toys and I'd use the boat as a stand in for Bulstrode. Seeing you pull out those crates at around 25:00 brought back memories I completely forgot about
This was such a nostalgia trip like holy shit, throughout the video I was just gasping at the sets and trains I still have and just remembering how I got them, I like to point out those prices because that is just insane. The Talk N Action Thomas you got seems to be the American version, hit toys basically made every road character under the sun when they had the license... in America and Canada... so getting what you got is pretty awesome, flip face Toby is a definite win so here's hoping you can get it to work! Also the amount of boxed stuff is just insane, having a trackmaster area similar to that of Muddy Poppins' is a great idea! Hope you go forward with it! Can't wait to see what comes of this! If you get enough spare Annies and Clarabels, you could keep one of each and repaint the spares to look like some of the other branchline coaches from throughout the series. Like the dark red ones from the great western branch, or the old green and cream ones from season 1, or even do some real life liveries from the southern railway. The potential for customization is almost endless.
40:18 really hit me hard dude, I used to have that set and to this day still have Skarloey and the Lumber truck, however I sadly lost everything else besides, like I said, Skarloey and the truck. I can’t wait for the review so I can relive me childhood again!

If you get enough spare Annies and Clarabels, you could keep one of each and repaint the spares to look like some of the other branchline coaches from throughout the series. Like the dark red ones from the great western branch, or the old green and cream ones from season 1, or even do some real life liveries from the southern railway. The potential for customization is almost endless.

I’m going to be honest, bulgy would definitely work still saturated, it would work better as like a kind of like a aftermath of seeing him last? Because he’s been used as a stand so much he’s faded. Might need to fix the face though.
