Well done catching those fish and the way you gave them time to recover was great to see. I've only caught one Murray cod and it was all of twenty five centimetres long, I was pretty pleased with that so you must be thrilled with the ones you got, if a bit knackered as well. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Great fish mate in a beautiful location. Not sure what one of the guys was talking about that u weren't handling them properly!!?? That was the first thing I noticed that you handled them perfectly. Keeping them in the water for as long as possible etc. No lip gripping holds to wreck their gills. The cod that come out of there are just beasts! Thanks for the great vid mate!!!
Glad to know when you got the massive one you hadn’t had a hit in 4 weeks. That was when we were there for a few days and went fishless. So it wasn’t just us 😂. Great fish, got me keen to try it out again now even though I said I wouldn’t go back after the fishless trip we had
I still have a love/hate relationship with Eildon Grant, just when you're about to give up on the place, it throws you a bone and keeps you coming back. The rewards are worth it.
Three bangers there mate. Good to see that I'm not the only one who talks to metery's when I'm playing them! For faster revival before release try turning your lecky on low so the boat is moving. It pushes water through their gills and brings their blood oxygen up faster. Old saltwater gamefish trick and works well on big GooDoo. Cheers for the vid, got me keen as shit 👍🏻
what a great fish they are cant wait to start fishing for them and doing some exploring off my own what weight line and rod is needed to go after this iconic beasts with, ive got the boat but still to find a good car to tow with but all in good time.
G'day mate, I use a Tatula 150p spooled with 50 lb J Braid, on a Wilson Venom 7 foot , 8 kg Baitcaster. Leader depends on the terrain I'm fishing. Cheers.
As it seems like your the self proclaimed expert , What would you have done differently ,if your going to make judgements like you have you should at least give those claims some basis in fact ,and where do you chase cod.
Yeah well looks like the dead one floating under the Jamo eildon bridge from being handled too much. Don’t remove them from the water they don’t like tampering
I don't think he handled it bad at all. Ideally he should have unhooked it while it was still in the water, and then immediately released it. But he did not have it in the boat for that long time. The Murray Cod should be fine.
Good fish mate good to see some one still doing it like a man
Cheers Ryan, I prefer to not know what my presents are before I open them.

Bloody awesotme. They're like dinosaurs. Love seeing this monster's going back. Was praying for them to get going again 👍
No live scope in sight. Just a man on the water doing it how it should be. Great vid and great fish mate 👍
Awesome mate!! So good to watch a vid without live scope 💪🏻👌🏼👌🏼
Well done my man ,it takes a lot of commitment to the sport to be succsesful at this caper ,cheers from Copeton.😊
Luv the sound the King Fisher's make. Top lure!
Cheers Rob, Cod seem to like them.
You’ve done a good job with them fish , I could only dream of catching one of those👍
What a excellent, no nonsense video. Lovely fish mate ! The releasing was text book 👍And looked like hard work on the lower back too 😯Cheers.
Ripper catches Paul. That 3rd big girl has some awesome colour to it in the water. 👌
Cheers mate, didn't really notice until you mentioned it, but yeah, does look cool.
Epic footage Paull, and some outstanding fish. Yet to get a metery at Eildon yet, you've inspired me.
Cheers mate. Give them a go, you won't be disappointed.
Throughly enjoined your adventure
I can see the love you have for these fish
Thanks for sharing
Cheers, they grow big, they hit hard and fight hard , what's not to love.
That one at the end made the others look small. Epic work mate.
Absolutely remarkable fish.
Awesome fishing mate they were proper fish! Surface is life! 👏👏
Cheers mate, no better way to catch them I reckon.

Cheers Paul, you do the best you can with these big girls, it's not like they come with handles.
I live here and see many big fish floating after you guys are long gone, some don’t recover, don’t take the big ones out of the water.
Beautiful fish mate great angling skill too
Top fish and a top video. Good job
Thanks Tony.

Cheers, to old for carry on.
@@the_goodooguru nice mate, me too
Awesome! How is the condition on those beasts. Great vision of all 3 hookups, Unreal. Enjoyed the format no BS music - all natural.
Thanks Michael, don't reckon there's a skinny Cod in Eildon.
Amazing great footage
Thanks Rachel.
Awesome video great job
Thanks Michael.

I always talk to them mate, they never listen though. Good idea with the lecky, I'll give that a go.

Cheers mate, 50 pound braid with 50-60 pound leader is what I use on a Wilson Venom 8kg Baitcaster .
@@the_goodooguru thx for that now I know what to get thx so much for your helpful info cheers got that ok chow looking forward to your next video
Hahah I think that second fish just wanted to be held for a while. It took off like a rocket when you let go of it
I think you're right Billy, that release took 25 mins, I think he was just playing possum til I let him go.
Awesome session bloke.. Do you trout fish in Eildon too...?
I do Terry, but haven't for a couple of years.
what reel and line did you use?
G'day mate, I use a Tatula 150p spooled with 50 lb J Braid, on a Wilson Venom 7 foot , 8 kg Baitcaster. Leader depends on the terrain I'm fishing. Cheers.
Don’t They go hard when they get that big, unreal mate.
They sure do mate, not much you can do about it either, just hang on and prey.
Did you get them up the northern part of Eildon mate north of Jews?
come on, mate! have some damn respect for those amazing fish. They deserve better.
Soh da like your jealous cause you can't catch a cold let alone a fish 🤣🖕

Unreal video mate, cracking cod and no nonsense!
i appreciate the lack of music and overedditing
Thoughts on not killing the fish beore you let them go...
I think you are going to need a bigger net!
Might need some better handling of these fish mate or there won’t be any fish left to catch

Well done mate
How many hours would you spend before catching each 1m+ cod?
@@AMJB100000000, Too many to count I'm afraid 😨.
