It's like you read my mind. I am 2\3 of way through a lap blanket in self striping yarn in a sunset colour way using exactly this stitch! I didn't have a clue the border till i saw your video. Simple but effective and very beautiful!! Thank you x
love this I am not a beginner but I love any new ideas, love to have simple patterns to use, sometimes a person just feels like just relaxing and the great thing is even when you do that it turns out great looking. You do a fantastic job love all of your videos for crocheting quilting and embroidery!!! thank you so much!!!
I’m sooo glad you’re back on UA-cam. When I re-entered the world of crocheting after being absent for many many years, your videos were so helpful, easy to follow and you have such a beautiful personality as well! Thank you so much for taking the time to do these videos 👏🏾👏🏾
Very nice Melanie! It’s great to see you going into two loops in the foundation row. So many just go through one and I don’t think it looks as nice. I will only do so if it’s a yarn that’s really hard to get into. And I’ll use the back bump for Tunisian. I guess it’s just how one is taught and what they are used to doing. Thanks for sharing!
I absolutely love this blanket. It’s so cute and I had fun making it. I’m new to crotcheting. I’m self taught through UA-cam. At times it was frustrating but you’ve inspired me to learn and have made it so much easier for me. Thanks for your great videos!
I love it. Great tutorial. I really like hdc as well. It is a pretty stitch. I am making scarves for the homeless and started a hdc one today and it goes real fast. Thanks Melanie for all your great tutorials! Cheryl Lynne Lovell
I'm actually making my daughter a blanket right now and was wondering if I wanted a border on it. I love that border! Guess hers is getting that border! Thank you for making up my mind! Lol! 👍
I just finished my first Rainbow Ridge blanket! I hope to make many to give away while we are at MD Anderson in Houston Texas. My husband will begin chemo in January 2019.
I am definitely a beginner to crochet having made several washcloths and a scarf. Your instructions are so clear and you make everything simplified but the end result looks more complicated! Thanks for a great tutorial! I am headed to Joann's to get some yarn and try this project! 💕 Also love your quilting videos as I am a quilter too!
Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 hope your doing ok I miss you and your crochet videos you have inspired me to 🧶 crochet and I love following you your great at what you do love ya ❤️ stay well
Melanie I have a question ! Have just started blanket and crocheting both and doing practice samples. On the border I take it that both single crochet need to start on front? Thank you!
Hi dear Melanie this is the prettiest cutest blanket you are so good at picking vivacious projects I will definitely will start one going to Argentina in two weeks I will take it with me do you mind tell me the name of the color of that yarns Thank you thank you God bless!!! 🌸🌸🌸
Liliana.. It looks like she used Cupcake Yarn in maybe the color way "Balloons" or one of Lion Brand Cupcake Yarn cakes. There are such beautiful colors to choose from ☺️
Love this project because it's so pretty and actually one I think I could do! Question: when you're doing the single crochet on the side where you're weaving in the tail, are you going beneath a "v" or are you going through a single loop? Thank you!
Plz make a video of baby cardigan or sweater and frocks from crochet. Your this project is super good and super easy and well defined and clear video. Love u loads
I love watching your videos, you are always so bubbly and upbeat! Your video quality has always been excellent too, what kind of a camera do you use? Do you use a camcorder? I'm in the market to upgrade my old point and shoot for my videos but there are so many options it makes my head spin LOL.
Monica it was fine on my end. Maybe you could try and watch it again and see what happens. I'd exit completely out of UA-cam first. I watched it on my phone. If you have another device I'd try it from that. Just a suggestion 😉 Have a wonderful day!
This will be the second blanket I make from your tutorials. I am using Mandala Gnome yarn. Thank you for making it all seem so easy!!

Hi. Thank you for this great tutorial. Could you please tell me what yarn you used for this blanket? I love the color palette.
This looks like Lion Brand "Cupcake" Yarn Cakes .😉
Hi, Melanie. Your rainbow crochet looks so cute and adorable.
I always put a stitch marker on the first and last stitch in each row so I don’t accidentally miss them.

My weekend project!! 🎉🎉
Love this blanket. I know the yarn is self striping, but how did you get the border all one color? Did you use another color of yarn?
I thought “wow I really love these colors” and realized I just bought 3 skeins of this exact yarn 🥰 🧶
It looks very easy thank you!
Love it! Thank you for all you do!
Melanie I have a question ! Have just started blanket and crocheting both and doing practice samples. On the border I take it that both single crochet need to start on front? Thank you!
Me encantó muy bien explicado🌸👏🏻😘
Question: when you did the border over foundation row you only pulled up one stich, is that correct?
I noticed that you are using a multi colored yarn. Did you make a square for each different color? It’s very nice.
Hi Melanie, could you make videos on weaving? Boho Wall hangings are very popular and I’d love to learn to make one
