TODAY WE DISCUSS SEACHEM CLARITY AND HOW ITS EFFECTIVE AND HOW TO USE IT. PLEASE CHECK OUT NORTHFINUSA.COM FOR YOUR PRODUCTS #NORTHFINUSA #SEC #NORTHFIN #SEACHEM
Came here hoping for a demonstration, the thumbnail with the cloudy tank certainly suggests that there was one. Instead I got a dramatised reading of the label. What a waste of time.
I have never used it but I have used Seachem products with great success I use trace, Iron, and flourish in my planted aquarium and I have been very happy with these products for the last six years or so. I have super nice planted aquariums thanks to those three I mentioned.
great video !! we hardly have any stuff from seachem in the netherlands, I haven't found any good products that is really good in my country until i order seachem products like prime, cichlid trace, clarity, stress guard from the US amazing products and really satisfied about Seachem
It's works great. Been using it for a long time. Have some filter floss in filter add clarity and bam 2-3 hrs later tank water is super clear. Nice vid Jay.
3:12 was the greatest statement.. "Pay attention to the details" short story I had my 40gal set up for 5 months cloudy water all 5 months..LFS said : "Bacteria Bloom be patient " Me not feeling that it was that. Starting looking inward noticing things that wasn't normal on other friends tanks.. up to 2 gallons of evaporation in a day. No real water movement when I turned off the WaveMaker and kepted pump running so I bought a bigger pump still no real movement..I drained the tank and in the back of tank (mind you this is a AIO TYPE TANK) Where the baskets go there is 2 glass pieces glued to the sides of the baffles they basically keep the baskets about a 1/2in off the bottom of the tank for flow purposes. One had Broken off and was blocking the opening to the pump compartment. (Mind you I looked for blockage all the time in every area I could think of.. but this was clear glass laying up against clear glass virtually impossible to notice.) I fixed it baskets are now up off the bottom of tank. And there is plenty of movement my tank cleared in 2 days. It was such a satisfying thing to watch. Great video even though this product wouldn't of helped me.
Good vid, im still uncelar on the use situation. If your tank is established and running. Why would you need this>? also can you help with a comparison to pristine. thanks for all your work!!!
My water had a lot of tannins in it and used clarity and the water went dark grey and it's been that way for many hours now. What the hell is happening?
Thanx, it was not clear in my mind :) I always mess up with my show tanks whenever i clean the filters (i use tap water to do it, shaaaaame on me), and sometimes i end up having a bacteria bloom because i'm an idiot who is just too lazy to use the tank water to do so. It doesn't affect the water parameters but it sucks to have a cloudy water for days especially when the tank is just in front of your eyes 12 hours a day!! I've heard about this product, but never tried it and each time i wanted to, i was too broke to buy it lol. I just did because of a guy called Jay Wilson and indeed it works good after a little while. So thanx buddy!
We're kinda like minded people. I help run American Aquarium and it's all about helping people. I do food too my friend and UA-cam :) Like how at the end of your video it says God Bless. I think you inspired me to add it to mine. We got mission you know.
holy crap this stuff works! my tank was cloudy, checked all the parameters, ammonia, nitrates nitrites all fine, tried an old bag of purigen, didn't work (it worked last time) so gave it a try, 3 hours later, my tank is crystal clear woohooo!
sorry I forgot to mention after watching your video I ran out got my water test. all signs good. just a little bacteria boom. super clear now. like holy f
sometimes you wish you could adjust your audio levels :P Love the channel, gives lots of insight and good information to newbies like me in the aquarium world.
Jay, pretty off topic but had a question that others might experience as well. I've noticed that you don't have any air stones in your tank. I woke up a couple days ago with all my fish at the surface gulping for air. I checked my ammonia/nitrites/nitrates the day before and they were at 0s. 2 fish died which I was pretty upset about but I noticed all the other fish seemed to be breathing heavy (not at the surface but gulping). I turned my air stones on (they're usually on a timer) and they seem to be doing much better. I also added Clarity and Prime bc I kinda panicked. Are air stones important or should I be looking for another problem? I have wave makers on a timer for surface agitation that are timed to go on 4 times a day for 30 minute intervals. Thanks brotha
Doesn't Seachem Purigen clear up tank water as well? I know it's specifically for keeping the Nitrates and Ammonia in check but many claim it also makes the water crystal clear. Two birds with one stone.
Dhaval Rathod no don’t get clarify and whenever the water gets cloudy I just do a water change, and I only use stability and prime because those are the most important, sorry if I am saying this late you probably already get the answer
I used this last night around 830pm 2caps on a 55g here it is 811am my shit still cloudy crazy thing is my shit wasn’t messed up from the start just trying out the product I guess I’ll do a water change
Went to a local pet store and their water just looked so pure and clean I thought it will help mines get the look they had but my 210 was on a cloudy look from a size view of the tank so added it in a it just worst now DONT KNOW WHY I EVEN TRIED CHEMICALS ONLY 2 work is prime and stability
Yes- I just did a 'deep substrate' tank with 'Carbisea original live sand'- and it kicks up 'smoke' like crazy! It is currently cycling- and was wondering if CLARITY would help it 'calm down' with the clouding problem. Also- how long would a treatment last if I began using it. Thanks for you time! (PS- I'm using a 200 micron sock for my filtration for now).
I used Seachem’s Clarity. It should of been called Cloudy. I’m been trying to mechanically filter out the white smoke for the last four hours. Water clarity has improved only slightly. But it’s still a lot worse after I used this produce. This was a mistake using this product. my aquarium has been a white cloud for two days. I’m wondering what type of recourse I should take.
The seachem clarity will have an initial cloudiness because it's making all the microscopic debris into bigger clumps, which then can be filtered by your filter
Jay i need to ask you something are seiruy rocks good for cichlids i mean i would like to add this rocks but i dont want to harm my fish lett me kno what u think thanks.
SFC Caldwell this can take 3-5 days sometimes. Patience patience!! Mine took 4 days to get the crystal clear look. It’s different for everyone due to the multitude of variables.
I just bought a 120g aquarium tank and it has a built in under-gravel filtration system but I don't know how to turn it on.. what do I have to get or do to make my under gravel system work if you know.
I took some media out. I'm still getting some bubbles. Could it be the bio ball's? Also I put extra sponge at the bottom could that be it? I really appreciate your help man.
I always use carbon to clear up my tank....all this newer stuff is mind boggling to me as someone who's had fish since she was about 10 until ow at 47 years old. I will stick with the old way, carbon!
I had a bottle of Clarity and when i added it to my tank it made the water more cloudy and tinted brownish/yellow. Not sure if I just had a defective bottle or not cause i do remember when it first arrived it had a slight leak and when i opened the cap the liquid inside the bottle was a light brown color. Is it supposed to be brown inside the bottle or clear ?
I Stopped using Clarity lol. I pretty much have all of the Seachem Products I need for a Freshwater Tank so whenever I do a water change I add PRISTINE, STABILITY, AND PRIME along with along with NEUTRAL REGULATOR to keep the PH in the 7.0 Zone. Also Rinse of the Filter Media when it starts getting caked up with that Nasty Brown Gooey Stuff. That's what I do.
So what I found works Best for me to keep the water nice and Crystal Clear is the following Set Up. Hang On Back TIDAL 110 Power Filter With Skimmer and inside the Tidal Power Filter I have Seachem Matrix Carbon, Seachem Matrix Bio Filtration that comes with the Filter itself, and Seachem Zeolite. Inside the Second Power Filter I have Seachem Purigen and Bio Chem Zorb. But the Second Filter I have is a Penn Plax Cascade 300 that I had in the Tank originally before I Purchased the Tidal Filter but I just left it in for Double the Filtration cause my Fish like to make a Mess. Once you change the water and clean out the Filters and add what I said to just let it run and you should see noticable results within a few hours and by the next day it should be Clear. Sometimes even faster than that.
Yes "SEACHEM PRISTINE" Helps Clear Up the Water. Buy a Bottle of that and also you should buy a Bottle of "STABILITY" by Seachem as well. STABILITY will Automatically cycle the Tank so you don't have to wait forever. Just add Stability and you can put Fish in right after you add it.
Pristine makes everything floating around in your Tank Bind together and then it gets Sucked up in to the Filter. Clarity is supposed to Clear Hazy looking water but for some reason it just makes mine look more Cloudy lol. I don't know why. Some say that Clarity will make water Cloudy at first but then the Cloudiness goes away after a while and it does Clear up. I have not had any Good Experiences with Clarity so far. I use Pristine and Prime and good Filter Media to keep my tank looking good. If you already added Stability then you should be good to go just add the Fish if the water temp is in the Safe Zone.
Angie Najera no need for a demo. If used properly it will do what it is suppose to do. All tanks will cloud differently based on what is happening. So my demo would be different then what you see. For example some tanks will cloud really bad before they get better.
I dont understand these "hobbyists". For me, having a tank, is about creating an underwater world in your home. Plants, substrate, decoration, is all just as important as fish. So, how does one fix the cloudy water problem that won’t go away from Clarity use?!
Came here hoping for a demonstration, the thumbnail with the cloudy tank certainly suggests that there was one.
Instead I got a dramatised reading of the label. What a waste of time.
Jesus, you blew my ears away.
Martha Newsome nearly had a heart attack

At least it was a good song.
Curb your blasphemy.
Haha .me too
Love your reviews. Short, simple and to the point!
I have never used it but I have used Seachem products with great success I use trace, Iron, and flourish in my planted aquarium and I have been very happy with these products for the last six years or so. I have super nice planted aquariums thanks to those three I mentioned.

Hi jay thanks for taking your time to do the videos. My 11 year old and i are gettin in to fish. I have found your videos helpful. Thanks!
Tell your 11yo I said hello. Glad you enjoyed it.
It's works great. Been using it for a long time. Have some filter floss in filter add clarity and bam 2-3 hrs later tank water is super clear. Nice vid Jay.
Thank you so much.
Any reason the thumbnail is a cloudy tank but yet you didn't do a demo to prove it works?
Love the angels and airwaves tho
I've never used this or seen it in any of the LFS that I visit ... Looks like it does exactly what it says on the bottle 🤗
Great product & information Jay! Seachem definitely has a incredible line of products.
Thanks buddy see you at OCA?
Jay Wilson Definitely...was just talking with the wife about it last night, looking forward to it.
+Maximus Aquatics make sure we link up
+Jay Wilson For sure!
Great breakdown of a great product bro! Attention to detail! Hooyah!

No problem

Nice Tank!
Can I overuse it? And what is that background on your tank it’s cool
Thanks for the info man👍🏻
Thanks for watching.
I learned pay attention to detail in art studios making logos and detailing cars for showrooms.
AquaLady 420 awesome
great informative vid 👍, this week I will make my video for the 10K contest
Awesome we are really excited.
Does clarity work on aquarium soil dust mist in the water?
What's going on with the click bait thumbnail
+Richardson Jones it's not clickbait it's a cloudy tank to talk about clarity lol
Thats what clickbait is.
@@Jaywil07 it implies that we will see one in action, its fo sho clickbait *farts audibly*
That AVA intro is epic!!!! You know whats up!!
Is it ok to put in the tank that has a fish?
Great video agree Seachem products are best.
they sure are
Great demonstration of just how good the product is Jay.
awesome video
Thanks Nico!
Hi if I use it today after how many days I should use it again is there any cycle to be followed
should we remove carbon while adding this product to tank
Jay, pretty off topic but had a question that others might experience as well. I've noticed that you don't have any air stones in your tank. Dino Orlando yes it can
Nice.
colinbarsby Thank you so much for watching it means a lot!
Jay Wilson Jay, I really enjoy your videos because of the genuine passion you have for the hobby, and the fun you have with presenting it.
HEY JAY I USE SEACHEM ALSO BUT WHY DOES IT TAKE SOLONG FOR THE MILKY CLOUDING TO GO AWAY HOURS GONE BY STILLCLOUDy?
Sometimes the cloudy water is not a clarity job it is in fact cycling in that case you need stability
Whenever i use clarity my aquarium stays cloudy all the time do i need to add purigen
Dhaval Rathod no don’t get clarify and whenever the water gets cloudy I just do a water change, and I only use stability and prime because those are the most important, sorry if I am saying this late you probably already get the answer

Yeah me too.... great stuff..

Clean the rocks really well
is it safe for fish in the tank
hey jay let me get one of those led lights.
Have to enter the contest
This did NOT work for me. My water stayed cloudy for 12 hours. I just ended up doing a 100% water change.
SFC Caldwell this can take 3-5 days sometimes. Patience patience!! Mine took 4 days to get the crystal clear look. It’s different for everyone due to the multitude of variables.
I wish to see cloudy aquarium being treated by clarity, step by step
ziedrict pretty simple add the product according to the instruction and gallons of your tank and wait 2-3 hours. May get worse before better
i hope the product works for me.
I definitely need this for my goldfish fish tank poor Katy Perry my oranda goldfish is swimming through bits in the tank
Never tried clarity. Think it's about time.
Awesome brother.
always*
sorry...oways, that baby talk is a pet peeve of mine.

+jojo Bees I'm not sure I am sorry
Its okay, I don't need it I just love the over filtration in my aquarium, keep my tank clean, crystal clear and fishes happy.. thank you though
Used it for a milky bacterial bloom for a new tank setup five days ago, did absolutely nothing.
It wouldn’t for bacteria blooms
I see some goodies to your left...sneak peak? hehe
Yes of the mega 10k giveaway.
kinda just seemed like the same information as reading the bottle...
+gold3n rul3 thanks for checking it out!
I cant stop these micro bubbles coming out of my filter and it's making the water milky
Either filled to tight or their is a seal open. Tilt the canister and open it and close it again
@@Jaywil07 too much media?
Yes potential to much stuff in there.
I took some media out. I'm still getting some bubbles. Could it be the bio ball's? Also I put extra sponge at the bottom could that be it? I really appreciate your help man.
Brett Hewitt sponge don’t take the bio balls out keep the bio in and don’t cram the filter
Good filtration , water changes and a UV sterilizer PERIOD THE END.
Hmmmmmm
I have bacterial bloom after replacing my filters... Water clarify doesn't work for this...
Stella Harris correct you need time. You over cleaned your filters.
Just use polyfill.
terrancejackson3 doesn't always work.
Polymeric feliculating, say that 100 times fast ;) Excellent videos man.

Doesn't work well against clay particulates from substrates like fourite, safeTSorb.
But is it fish safe
Hopefully
Thought there was going to be a demo....
Angie Najera no need for a demo. If used properly it will do what it is suppose to do. All tanks will cloud differently based on what is happening. So my demo would be different then what you see. For example some tanks will cloud really bad before they get better.
Acurel F is what works... period.
my earssssss :( doood
Nico Mills yeah it happens when playing with audio lol
Jesus fucking music holy shit man turn it doen
Really glad to learn about fishes directly from putin...🤭
Are you being paid by them
Not a single cent.
I dont understand these "hobbyists". They get these huge tanks fill it with huge fish and then it just looks like a overstocked tank at petco, like a holding tank waiting for someone to come take them away. For me, having a tank, is about creating an underwater world in your home. Plants, substrate, decoration, is all just as important as fish. Id rather have one big prized centerpiece fish, and a variety of smaller fish and bottom feeders creating a community and ecosystem and home not only to watch your fish but watch your fish be happy and thrive... Than just over crowding with a bunch of big fish feeling claustrophobic everytime you look at it.
Pedarsag i agree 100%
Pedarsag he has so many chiclids in his tank because they are very aggressive and if there is a lot of fish they don't fight as often and don't pick on one weak fish
This is actually what I was thinking. I spent more money on my plants and decorations than my fish in my 70 gal tank.
100% correct answer Tiger
If you are just going to put one fish in a tank, might as well get a betta bowl with a betta in it. Lol.
We, malawi cichlids keeper like to mix things up in a huge tank with varieties species (haps, peacocks, and mbuna)
all show males.
Who would want to stare at one single fish in a huge tank anyway? Sure not me.
Lmao.
Thanks for giving my dog a heart attack
Idk didn’t work for me
Thumb down for that intro volume
Its a poly what? say that three times fast. lol. thanks for the info.……
I know
Clarity sucks. Made my whole tank more cloudy, 36 hours later.
Same, more cloudy water. Obviously as he said in the video, we are probably dealing with a different issue from what Seacam Clarity can cure.
Possible bacteria bloom?
the start photo does not correspond to the content misleading advertising
Jay are you the creator of Northfin?
+fuzzytractor90 no sir I am just the first us based retailer.
Geez thanks for non-demo. Out
Why didnt u use it. That was a waste of my time
Just used it..really disappointing for this product..where is the video...sorry we dont want story..Next time simply put clarity video..
Thumbnail clickbait...
Why are you so loud?
It’s just me lol
Can I put that in a hang on back
+Chad Hardesty yes it goes in the water
No. All that noise.
your intro almost made my ears bleed in this video.
Would have been great if you showed the effects of it like your misleading still shot of your video before clicking it.
