Oil filled heaters along with Infrared Heaters cost MUCH LESS than using a traditional heater. There is a chart online that shows you how low. Also, the infrared heater works differently because it heats things not the air. A traditional heat system heats the room itself. Therefore when you open the door you'll feel that cold breeze. With infrared it heats people directly. Dr. Infrared is a great one or dura flame for larger sized rooms 400sq ft and up. :)

The #3 setting is only for heating up the radiator. Do not run for more than a half hour.
The #2 setting is for heating the room. Do not run for more than a couple of hours.
The #1 setting with the thermostat set somewhere in the middle is for continuous operation. #3 and #2 settings will trip the overheat shutoff if left on too long. So will using the rotator as a towel warmer.

I do #3 for a hour or so then down to #1 for hours the space feels wonderful. #1 is only 500 watts I can keep that running 8 hours
@@deebrown7160As long as you're not tripping the overheat shutoff. If you trip that overheat more than a few times. It will fail and it's a hassle to change out. Security screws, 😔 I know... Just cut a slot in them with a hacksaw and use a flathead screwdriver. Someone has a video on how to do that... So if you find a radiator in a dumpster or trash heap. Most of the time that's all it needs...
I have run on 3 setting day after day it's the 1500 setting puts out most heat doesn't hurt anything.
